Paint gets gloppy. . This paint sponges on the face well however when using a brush I find it gets gloppy and does not go on smooth. I found Kustom Body Art (not sure of spelling) was much better for actual painting with a brush.
I am new to face painting and volunteer at community events. I purchased several different brands of paints basically because I didn't know what I was doing. I doubt I would purchase this brand of paint again.

Adult learning how to "knit" . I used this kit as an adult to learn how to "knit" a scarf. The "wool" that the kit comes with is ok, but I found that a thicker yarn makes an amazing scarf that would actually keep you warm. I made a gorgeous scarf(in an afternoon)with $5 yarn from Walmart and my friends and family went Gaga over it. Guess what everyone is getting next year for Christmas...

nice end product . I bought this "knitting" kit for my 10 year old. If you ever did "finger knitting" as a kid (wind yarn around one hand's fingers, pull loops over, make long rope of "knitting" that you have no idea what to do with) and wish you had more fingers to make a bigger project, then this is the item you wanted. You've got a knitting loom of 2 rows of 12 pegs. You wind yarn zig-zag style back and forth. Loop bottom loop over top loop, wind more, loop again, repeat. The instructions are good. The actual winding/looping "knitting" part is easy and fast. The directions for the kit call for making a fringe that both binds the starting and ending edges as well as is decorative. This fringe takes FOREVER to make per the directions. Looks awesome, but so time consuming and a little tricky that my 10 year old would a) not be able to do it alone and b) even if I showed her what to do, would have given up on the project because the fringe making was so time consuming and tedious.

I did the starting/ending fringe as well as a bunch of the "knitting" (fun part!). Like another reviewer we bought some other yarn and are making another scarf. With a bulky yarn, you'll get a winter weight scarf and we found that just using 8 of the 12 sets of pegs made a scarf width that worked well. The yarn that came with the kit is a thin, open ribbon and knits up as a fairly narrow (like 3" wide) scarf even when using all 12 pairs of pegs; perfect as a belt or accesory.

Fabulous - but NOT for under 10-12 years old . This toy is well-made and easy to carry and put away. Lots of supplies and I would definitely buy it again - if it were for a much older child than I bought it for (a 7 year old). The box says for 6 and above, but if a kid can figure it out at that age, then she should be enrolled in MIT. Child's mom and I sat down with the directions and wove a complicated combustion of colored strings (loop one over two, now three over 5, now.....). The child ended up getting bored and walking away as mom and I figured things out. If your kid can read and comprehend well and is somewhat talented in crafts, I highly reccomend this toy. If your kid is under 10, I wouldn't try it unless you, yourself, are interested in completing the project.

Friendship bracelet maker . I got this for my 10 year old daughter, it is tricky at first, it says 8 year olds. However for a child that young a parent or older child should help. it is very nice, although we have not tried any of the other friendship bracelet maker designs. I love that the patterns are free, and you can watch them on utube. The clip should have a stronger spring or some sort of a latch. Over all it is a very nice design.

Great creative thing to do . My daughter wanted to knit bracelets and when we saw this at Cosco (at about twice as cheap than here) we grabbed it. She got the hang of it pretty quickly. She is doing her first bracelet and though it has a few weak spots it looks good. My daughter is 6 and I think the age range is just fine. If the kid wants to learn it, they will. It is not that complicated. The most important thing is to start with the easy patterns like the stripe so that you can understand the basic idea how it is done. The instructional dvd is great in explaining how to do those bracelets. I was fearing it was going to be some really short video that will not be thorough but it actually is. This makes for a great gift!

Great independent art project . I got this for my seven year old daughter for Christmas because she enjoys crafts and I was hoping to find some she could do independently... these mosaics are great, she can do it by herself and they keep her busy for hours. I enjoy them as well when I have time to sit with her, but I often pull them out when I need something for her to do while I am busy. I have ordered two more boxes because she went through the first one so quickly! They were also great for her to do with her grandmother who is older and cannot get around very well, so they can sit and create one of these together. They also come with little hangers to put on when you are done so that they can be displayed, which is a nice touch.

Different Take on a Craft . My daughter and I both love(d) this product! She was excited to make the mosaic horse images! The small foam stickers are easy to remove and stick- but beware, they are strong little guys (and may get stuck in the wrong place). The cards are good quality- the stickers are great quality- the idea is genius! Have a little girl between 6-10 that loves horses and crafts? GET HER THIS! She'll love it! Promise. Such a unique craft idea- and it didn't disappoint!

My 6 year old loved it! . These are so pretty and definitely a quality you can display. I wish the hangers that came with it were better but my daughter really enjoyed it. I love Mosaics and now she does too. I've added a photo.

This is a great project for horse lovers. . Even though there are several pictures to be done in the pkg. if you have a horse lover - the pictures will be done in no time - which is great. The pictures are pretty and good enough to hang up or display on a table.

Does your child like arts and crafts? This is the perfect product for him/her!! . I first saw this product in a local educational retail store and picked up one to try out with my daughter. We were both amazing at how much fun this is and she had a blast. I have since purchased another pack (in store) and this kit online because the local retailer did not carry this horse pack (my daughter being an avid horse fan). I still have plans to continue to purchase more of these kits in the future and will even purchase these for gifts.

This is a fun and easy activity to take part in. If your child loves arts and crafts, this will certainly satisfy that passion. It is easy to understand. The boards have numbered blocks on them. You match up the numbers with the color sheet that comes with the pack. The child (and adults!) just peel back the correct color block that has a sticky back, positions it on the correct block on the board and continue along until the entire board is completed. There are plastic hangers that come with the kits so you can hang the art work up for display.

My daughter did her first kit when she was five years old. I did have to sit and help her sort out to make sure she understand which number is representative of which color, but once that was done she took off doing it on her own without any problems. She is seven right now (can sort out the numbers to colors herself) and still loves to do sticky mosaics. Again, I have to admit her father and I really enjoy sitting down with her and joining in on the fun.

The only con I have found with this item is some of the squares may not be cut all the way through, so when you go to take a single sticky block it is stuck to the next one. I have only had this happen rarely and it has been odds and end pieces. I noticed someone else stated they would prefer better hangers. I have not personally experienced this. The very first kit we purchased and completed, we immediately hung up on her bedroom wall using the hangers that came with this kit and they have been on there for two years to date without a problem.

I highly recommend this product and give it a full 5 stars without hesitation.

FUN and useful! . Great for travel! The mini barn hold a number of plastic animals and playthings for travel/carrying. Then it opens with a fun farm scene inside it, including inside the lid! My daughter loves this toy for travel and she has taken to playing with the lid on her lap in the car. It is smaller than other zip bins, so check the dimensions. But it's quiet and fun, a great gift idea.

Foldable farm . I was dissappointed with this purchase. It is much smaller than I anticipated and came with only 2 tiny animals that were cheaply made! How much fun is a mat that doesnt lay flat and two cheap, plastic animals? Not very fun! My son has not played with it once since Christmas. this one doesn't actually zip . I bought this for my daughter's 3rd birthday and the zip bin was really cute and pretty durable. I was thinking it would actually zip since "zip" is in the name of the product, but besides that it's a really great toy and I would recommend it. It does only come with 2 little animals, so I picked up a cheap little bundle of farm animals in the toy aisle of the grocery store and that seemed to really complete the toy. it would be a really good thing to bring for doctor's waiting rooms and those sorts of things.

Great design fun for kids . My 3 year old daughter requested several animals for Christmas . . . a cow, a duckling, a horse, a puppy, you get the picture. I wasn't sure exactly what to get for her, but then I saw this on Amazon. Since I was limited to shopping online this season, I just went for it. It is totally adorable. The sides zip down to create a farm scene for my daughter to play with and when she's finished, they zip up to form this nifty little box. The lid (with a pond on the reverse side) goes on top and it has straps to carry it. It even comes with a couple of farm animals, but I bought a bag of a variety of plastic farm animals to go along with it. They all fit in the little box and it's perfect for taking in the car or to places where we might have to entertain her for a bit.

This company makes other "zipbins," with themes like castles, cars, etc. I am definitely putting them on my list for birthday present ideas.

SipBin Mini Barn Great holder for farm Toys as well as mat! . I purchased this for my 4 year old nephew. He already had one for his match box cars and so he knew how to work it. He immediately opened it and places toys animals around. The zippers were easy to use and it was an appreciated gift, which is hard in this day and age with all the electronics out there.

Mini farm play set . This is was an awesome gift for my grandson. The farm scene that is printed on the inside looks great, it's even on the underside of the lid. I also gave him an assortment of little farm animals to put in his neat-oh zip bag.

love these Zip Bins! . These Zip Bins, all sizes, are a great find! The mini is small, but perfect for the car and for when play time can't be a huge set up and clean up production. We also got the unicorn and space minis, the Dino medium, the train basket and just ordered a few more!

Too Difficult . The clay in this set is so incredibly hard to work with. My kids were very frustrated. The clay does not soften. The cookie cutters and molds with the set are great and we use them with Play Doh or Crayola modeling clay. I do not recommend spending your money on this at all.

Impossible to soften this clay! . The Amazon reviewer claimed this clay was easy for little fingers to work - not true for my nearly-four-year old, and not true for me! It was hard as a rock. You'd have to work tiny bits at a time to make it workable. My daughter quickly got bored and gave up and I can't say I blame her. A big disappointment

Fun! Fun! Fun! . I purchased this for my 9 year old grandson's birthday, and he loved it more than most of his other gifts. He comes over to my home some weekends, and brings it along in the bucket that the clay comes in. The only problem is that his sister wants to play too, so I am online to purchase another one. I recommend this for any child.

Clay Animation Starter Set . For basic clay animation, the Alex clay works quite well. The colors are very vivid and the clay is soft without being melty like Crayola's modeling clay. The clay tools in this package won't last forever, but the variety included give a budding animator--and his or her imagination-- a power boost of possibilities.

Note: Alex's clay, also availoable in different size packages, is especially good for flat tabletop clay animation. If you are using armatures and more elaborate methods, you should use Omyacolor or Van Aken modeling clay for a little more firmness.

Great Pencils...Outstanding Customer Service . I was disappointed when I discovered one of the pencils in the box was split from end to end, when I opened the box. When I contacted Faber Castell, they went above and beyond with their prompt replacement and generous inclusion of extras for my son, the intended recipient of these gorgeous pencils. Great colored pencils! . I purchased these for my 3 year old daughter as a holiday gift. I almost didn't buy these because I thought they were to expensive for my three year old because she tears through her crayons and markers. I also had no prior experience with this brand of colored pencils but was won over by the other customer reviews. They were right! These are very kid friendly. They are easy to hold, don't roll away and my tot can even sharpen them by herself. The colored pencils I received were not the natural wood finish, like the ones shown, but were white. Each pencil had a different image printed on them to help with color recognition (the purple pencil had purple grapes on it and the black had a black cat...etc.) There was even a place for you to write your child's name on them. I am very pleased with the color quality and over all design of this product. I would highly recommend these colored pencils to anyone, especially if you have a child who is a little to tough on things, like mine.

Great! . We purchased this easel for our 3 1/2 year old daughter. She absolutely loves it! We have it to where she can only use the chalkboard side freely, and only under our supervision can she use the dry-erase side. We put it to a lot of use now during college football season... we bring it out to the living room and keep track of the scores. We can watch the game, play with her and she can practice her numbers all at once. It is very sturdy and we highly recommend it!

Do not get scammed! . this products RRP is $3.99 at the hasbro website, do not get scammed! if your paying more than that price your getting ripped off.

Wonderful toy - But $15-20 is a Rip Off . First off, these are really great My Little Ponies. They are colored and textured so they take on paint or permanent markers very easily. They are a perfect way for a child (or a creative adult) to work out creativity. You can also buy several and host "Pony" parties with them. As I'm not sure how long Hasbro will continue to make these, I purchased a few for when my daughter is older...but between now and then, I may color one myself. :)

That said, Amazon (and Ebay) vendors are unfairly marking them up. Hasbro sells them for $3.99. You do have to pay about $5-6 for shipping and tax (grrrr), but it doesn't add on much if you buy more than one pony. I ended up purchasing 4 from Hasbro and it came to only $6/a pony after everything was added up. So, if you want to have a nice herd of creative ponies or have multiple people who'd appreciate them, I suggest going through Hasbro.

Great idea and very popular gift this year! . I bought 5 of these 'decorate your own' pony figures for gifts this Christmas. They were really popular. I was a bit concerned about the ability of the usual kids paints to 'stick' but ended up "painting" the ponies with permanent marker, which worked really well - the colors came out brilliantly! Just had to remember to hide the sharpies after we were done!!

Awesome if you have the right modelling supplies . I personally think this toy was one of hasbro's greatest ideas. It gives the little girls who love ponies something to do while giving dudes like me who love to paint all different types of models a fun hour or two (and of course the fact that you own a custom pony you are proud of)

Pony art . My Grand-daughter is thrilled with this paint your own pony. What a cute idea. Amazons so easy to find and get what ever you are looking for.

smaller than i thought it would be... . These things have gotten smaller since I played with them as a kid. The birthday girl still loved it though!

Best gift for an artistic friend ever! . I bought this My Little Pony for a very creative and artistic friend and she has loved coloring and decorating it.

Endless possibilities . If you've never heard anything about the My Little Pony customization fad you're still sure to have fun with this. Lot's of people use these to customize into whatever they, or their customer, desire. I've seen some pretty amazing ponies out there but really, even if you're just wanting this for a child, you can't go wrong. You're able to paint it, dye it (and it's hair) sculpt onto it with the right material, whatever. You can make just about anything you want. You, and your kids, are sure to have a blast doing so. It's great to go from a completely blank pony "canvas" and see what comes out!

Creative fun for my girls . My girls have always enjoyed playing with my little ponys and they truly enjoyed creating their own my little pony, I do recommend this product for others.

Decorating a My Little Pony figurine . My daughter is very artistic and creative, and this was a fun toy for her to decorate. She painted the body and colored the hair and mane with markers, and it turned out looking very pretty. She now enjoys playing with the pony that she "made" herself.
