Good buy for the price. . Good buy for the price.

It does what it says - glows under a blacklight. This was my first time using a product like this. I found it was a bit awkward to apply though. After trying several different types of brushes I ended up using a piece of foam rubber packing material (of all things) to apply the paint. Even then it was difficult to get a nice consistent coat. Getting a thick, even coat is especially important with this paint as if affects the luminescence properties; the thicker the coat the stronger the glow. An uneven coat shows up markedly under a blacklight. I can't help but think this paint would apply better using an airbrush or paint sprayer.

I suggest applying the paint with a blacklight on so you can tell where the thin spots are (and where you've dripped paint). You will probably end up using two coats or more if you want a real bright glow. I also suggest giving the paint at least a day to dry as it remains tacky for quite a while.

I wish this paint came with SOME kind of instructions or tips for using it, the label doesn't tell you much of anything.

Overall it is a good product and would buy more if I needed it.

Decent Product . I used this paint to decorate for a Halloween party. It has a nice consistency and dried evenly, even when applied to glass. Clean up was easy - warm water did the job just fine. The paint did not glow as vividly as I was expecting, but I think that problem could have been solved by buying a few additional black-lights. I only wish the paint came in smaller bottles; it goes a long way, and I have a ton left over.

Note: The S&H is almost twice the cost of the book... (Toygarden Seller Feedback) . This was sort of a mess. I ordered the coloring book, but where they say you can review the order before you place it, they negelct to separate the details hence there was no way to see the outrageous S&H on this order.

I purchased the coloring book for $4.78 but didn't realize that the S&H was $7.25!! Then I didn't get it for over a week. I have sent stuff to people that was bigger, for less, and gotten it there sooner. After I got it, I noticed there was a tear in the cover. After seeing this and after everything else, I was very upset, so I left a very bad feedback rating and then left town the next day.

Credit to ToyGarden, they were very persistent at wanting to resolve my discontent. They left several messages for me while I was out of town that I got when I returned, however, since I did not return until the 23rd of Dec and this was supposed to be a gift, I figured it was too late to do anything. Toygarden however persisted and kept trying to contact me regarding the negative posting.

We came to an agreement and I agreed to pull the negative feedback but when I tried to go in an leave a more accurate account of the transaction I couldn't. You only get one chance here.

They are very concerned about ensuring customer satisfaction and go out of their way to rectify any dissatisfaction. They refunded my S&H when they did not have to.

Apparently Amazon sets the S&H for this stuff, so, be aware, if you think you are getting a deal, make sure you consider the S&H.

Quality Pencils . I needed this pencil set for my 2-dimension art class, and I'm glad I had bought it.The numbers and letters of each pencil is printed clearly on each pencil.The sharpener and eraser is fantastic! I never had a lead stuck or broken off on the sharpener.I like the clip on the bag so that I can attach it to my art profolio or backpack. But latching it on might taking some fumbling because the clip is made of hard plastic, and the tension from it makes it difficult to open.My suggestion is to keep the eraser in a separate container if you don't want dark smudges on your work because the soft lead might rub off of the eraser, making it dirty to work with.

Fun for the whole family . I got this from my grandchildren's wish lists. Of all the Christmas gifts, this one got the most use. Great product - not sure how it dries . I got this clay to work with a 9 year old. She loves it - it's soft enough to mold but "isn't mushy like playdough" The clay in the package hasn't dried out and the figures we build with it seem to be drying (its been 24 hrs and it still looks a little mold-able).

Overall would recommend Alex clay. The Box 24 size offers a large variety of colors and a good amount for most projects.

modeling clay . Received the modeling clay quickly and in good condition. It has bright true colors and the texture is good.
However, I tried it out with my 2 1/2 yr old and 3 1/2 yr old grandchildren and found it may be a little too firm for them to work with at this point. They used the little cutout plastic shapes on it but I had to roll it flat for them so they could make the shapes. Product is fine.. the grandkids were just not ready to work with it.

a Model Toy . My daughter is nine and dug right into this clay. The clay is soft enough to allow her to easily model and the colors are bright. It is simple enough to allow for her imagination. She loved it.

LESS MESS THAN PLAYDOUGH . We bought these clay kits for both our 4yr old daughter and our 6 yr old son. They had never really played with clay before. We have lots of the the Play dough stuff.
Although this clay is pretty stiff and challenging to manipulate the kids didn't seem to mind. I though after the squishiness of the PD they wouldn't go for it. Surprisingly my 6 yr old son mentioned right away that the clay was "less crumbly and less messy". He has ADHD and has a low tolerance for frustration and when playing with PD the stuff he would create tended to fall apart pretty easy and would cause many tears. The clay seemed to give him the substance he was looking for. There are 24 colors. Although not alot of clay per color there are many similiar colors as you can see in the pics that could be combined or used together.My 4yr old was not able to mix up all the colors as easily (a HUGE PLUS). We have mostly black Play Dough.LOLI did give it lower marks for educational value as the mixing of the colors DOES provide some education and it is almost impossible for tiny fingers to mix this stiff clay.They both played for awhile. The novelty wore off after about 30 minutes. I noticed there were several smaller things they created. With PD there would have been more elaborate construction sites and scenes by that time.We were able to roll each color into a little ball and store in a plastic bin for later use. For the price it is a great addition to our open ended play/ electronic free game house hold.

Fun for kids but doesn't harden when you bake it . This is fun modeling clay to play with. It doesn't seem to harden if you bake it. We bought it because one other reviewer said it hardens when you bake it but it didn't harden for us. It just got soft.

good and bad . i buy this for my kid he have to do a 3D school project this is good clay and price its much less than other's but it get hard to mold if the temperatures are cold i put it an drawn in the kitchen to get back on room temperature.

oops not a fimo substitute . so I bought this hoping it was a substitute for polymer clay. my fault, so i tried to rate it without letting that impact my opinion. however, if anyone figures out how to get this stuff to harden, please let me know. I tried the usual baking regimen and is still soft.

Love this activity book! . For their 4th birthday a friend gave them these activity books. They can't write, they can't read, and they are not good with scissors. The problem I had found with many activity books is that there was much in them my girls could not do yet, either reading or cutting things out to make things or whatever. With this book almost everything they could do without my help. There are dot to dot drawings, again they can do these without me and they are a great activity for practicing fine motor skills (one of our twins is left handed and struggles with writing utensils) and with counting. There is also a maze, a matching page, a what's wrong with the picture page, a which one is different page, all that they can do without my help as long as they are told the directions. There is a wand and crown that need to be cut out, and another page where you cut out pictures and put them in order to tell a story. Some of the pages have specific stickers that are supposed to be used with them which would need a parents' directions to a non-reader, one of the twins got into her book by herself and used many stickers elsewhere and when it came time to put the shoes on the princess those stickers were already gone, but she did figure out to put the draw bridge sticker in the right place on the castle page. All of the pages are black and white for coloring, and the pages are a nice thick paper and I was able in many instances to save stickers pt on wrong without ripping anything. I also like that it is spiral bound, pages lay flat when open which is easier for little ones to work on pages then. I looked at some of the other "Artivity" books and this one seemed best for non-reading aged girls, though I have not yet been able to look inside the "Enchanted Lands" one as most retailers are out of it. Also, buy this book online, it is like $7 retail in a store. If the girls had not already done these books these would be going with us on our big road trip! Anyway, highly recommend this book.

Cons Review

Not as nice as expected for the price . Based on previous reviews I thought this would be very nice for the price. The positive features are that the drawings are on one side of each page, so markers or paints can be used without ruining other drawings, and that the spiral binding allows the pages to be laid flat without having to hold the book open with one hand while coloring the pages.Otherwise, the drawings aren't very interesting, and some activities DO require reading of instructions to a younger child, contrary to what another reviewer said. I'd set aside a similar book of this series for later, but deleted it from my cart after seeing this one in person. For coloring with crayons or other media, I much prefer the Dover coloring books for children; some of those have designs on only one side of each page for use with wet media such as markers or paints. I frequently find much nicer activity books than this with much better pricing. At the local dollar store and in other local stores there are activity books with more variety of designs, and more pages for only a dollar. If the kids want to use wet markers or paints on some pages, I just copy and print those pages for them.

My kids loved it! . My 8 and 5 year old girls loved this kit! We used the clay to cover the planets and had just the right amount to finish! We let my oldest do the "blended" planets and my youngest do some of the smaller single color planets. By the 2nd one each, they were experts at it! I helped very little and it turned out as good as an 8th grade science project. It was fun to "google" facet about each planet as the girls worked. I recommend it!

Great Project for kids . My seven year old son put this together for a school project. We did not have to help him very much. If you follow the instructions there is plenty of clay. He even had some left over to make his own creation. He had fun and learned a little too!

Not as easy as the box says . We wanted to do this mobile to hang on our toddler's room. So when I say 'we' I mean a combined 60+ year old couple. If you add the cats' age (who, for whatever reason, wanted to help make this) it would be a combined 100+... And there was no way we could do it.

Not enough clay. The clay's quality was... not. It was also dry. The overall quality of the product is so low that it makes you wonder why it is so pricey.

It was frustrating. Once we decided the product had beaten us, we went to the official website for this product, where 90 % of the raters agreed with what we had just suffered [...]

A lot of fun for a little price . The entire dinosaur model series by Action Products is outstanding. The assembly of the kits is simple and straightfoward and next to impossible to mess up. Once assembled, the figures are quite substantial so make sure you have plenty of available shelf space on which to put them because your children will probably want the entire series. The assembled dinosaurs look fine in their unfinished wood form, but they look fantastic if they've been painted. A fluorescent lime stegasaurus? A cherry red tyrannosaurus? A black-and-white triceratops? The color is entirely up to you. Spraypainting is definitely the way to go, but if you want your child to have a more hands-on experience you can allow them to use a paintbrush to decorate their creations. And the great thing is they can repaint the dinosaurs a different color whenever they tire of the old colors. Total assembly time (including the time it takes for the glue and paint to dry) will vary according to the age of the child, but the average time will be about 5 hours (which can be spread over a couple of afternoons). Paints, paintbrushes (if used), and wood glue are NOT included in the sets so you'll have to purchase them seperately if you don't already have them in your household. Amazon recommends these model kits for ages 7 and up, but they're also appropriate for 5- and 6-year-olds (provided they don't decide to have dinosaur "wars" which, in that case, you'll have to do some regluing).

Surprisingly tough . I bought this product to conduct an official toy review of it for my personal site and for the $3.99 I paid for it, I quite honestly expected it to be flimsy and worth only the $3.99 I paid for it; however, I was pleasantly surprised.

The toy comes packed as pre-cut pieces on a wooden "page" and the pieces pop out easily in order to assemble the toy itself. I expected the pieces to be difficult to push out of the wooden "page"; however they weren't, nor were they thin flimsy pieces that snapped in a heartbeat. The pieces withstand quite a bit of playing around and slotting together the wrong way around etc. The toy is also pretty easily constructed and much larger than expected when it is complete. As another review above also states, the toy can be customized with paint as well which is a huge bonus as far as i'm concerned because it allows kids to put their own touch on to it.

I highly recommend this toy for anyone, child or grown up alike, for under $5 you get craft time, educational value, amazing durability (assuming you are not smashing these together in play) and creativity.
