Great beeswax crayons . I ordered this set after several of our more expensive beeswax crayons broke. I was skeptical because of the price. I thought there was no way they could be beeswax or that they would be cheap or flimsy. Boy, was I wrong! These are great. I love the variety of colors and they are are huge! I was hoping they would be larger than the stockmar stick crayons and they are. I was so pleased with these that I ordered two more sets.
Faber-Castell 24ct Beeswax Crayons Reviews
Great crayons . I bought these for my daughter who has been using several other student level crayon brand. The results she gets from these are just superior. They have a lot more color and instead of a light, somewhat diluted picture, she gets vibrant drawings every time. The packaging is great too, with each crayon sitting securely in a tray. Nothing flimsy here, which makes for great transportation and storage, no spilling of crayons.

They have 24 shades, which is more than a standard pack of 12, and I would love to see a bigger pack with more shades.

Apart from that, they are worth every cent.
Faber-Castell 24ct Beeswax Crayons Opinions
Best beeswax crayons! . I also agree that these beeswax crayons are better than others you can buy that at least double the price. If you are debating between the two, choose these. you will not regret it and your pocket book will thank you.
Warning - made in china . These crayons are durable and colorful. Beeswax crayons had been recommended to me because of their more vibrant colors. That combined with the fact that they are not made from a petroleum-based substance convinced me that beeswax crayons were a good investment. I was happy to find this brand of beeswax crayon at a much lower price than the Stockmar brand beeswax crayons that are made in Germany. However, when these crayons arrived, I was disappointed to learn that they are made in China. That leaves a question in my mind about what else they might contain besides the beeswax. As such, I wish I had just paid more for the Stockmar crayons which are made for the well-known Waldorf schools and reportedly made under high quality control.
Really Big Thick Crayons--Great for Younger Kids . 99% of the time, my kids color with Crayolas. We buy a bunch of boxes at the beginning of the school year when they're usually 25 cents or so---and leave it at that. But, I've always wanted to try beeswax crayons. Perhaps I've been on too many Waldorf forums... but every time I see them, I kind of salivate...yet I can't justify the price. I saw some on sale on a different site, so was searching on Amazon to compare prices and came across these Faber-Castell crayons. They're still a lot more expensive than Crayolas--but a better deal than most beeswax crayons. These are really thick crayons...think 3-4 Crayolas thick...with great colors. A few different shades of tan/brown... a bunch of gorgeous blues and greens. Really lovely. They're super sturdy, so great for smaller kids who tend to put a lot of pressure on crayons and break them. I'm glad I splurged. We'll still buy the Crayolas for school, but the "special" crayons will be broken out for special art projects, etc. We've had these about a week now--and my kids have zero desire to go back to Crayolas. They notice a difference when coloring. My daughter(4) says, "The colors are so nice and it's fun to color with them." I tried a bit of coloring with them too, and I have to agree.
Like coloring with velvet . I don't think I will ever be able to go back to petroleum-based crayons again. These beeswax crayons are like coloring with velvet. The colors are so much richer compared side-by-side to my old petroleum crayons. There is no strange crayon smell and they feel very sturdy. The color selection in this pack is quite lovely, especially the warm colors and the dark blue. Honestly, I didn't know crayons could be such a wonderful medium to work in. I'd recommend you try these out before spending three times as much for another popular brand of beeswax crayons. Beeswax really does make a difference, but there is no need to break the bank.
Safe crayons vibrant colours . I am so pleased with the quality of these crayons. They are a bit softer than crayola crayons, so the colour is much more vibrant and glides smoothly onto the paper. They are the perfect size for the hands of young children. I got them for my 2 year old son, who loves to draw. I wasn't crazy about him potentially consuming petroleum wax (he was only a year old at the time), so happy these are made of beeswax. They are a wider crayon, easier to grip and more difficult to break. They do not permanently stain carpet , fabrics, or wood. In fact, they clean up very easily with wet wipes. I buy these for all the kids I know.
Better quality than regular crayons but..... . These beeswax crayons require less pressure to color with, and produce richer colors than regular crayons. While children might prefer these wider crayons, I would prefer them in the regular size for comfort and for coloring smaller details. The quality is good, but I don't enjoy coloring with these thick crayons.I'm giving them a 4 for their quality, and for children's use, but I would prefer thinner crayons in many more colors, including metalic gold, silver, copper, etc..
