Wonderful markers . I bought these markers to write on black card stock with for scrapbooking and card making, my kids and wife love them and use them all of the time.

Five PLUS Stars . WOW - The new "Gel Markers" are FANTASTIC. I've been looking for a product that would have great color on black paper ever since "milky pens" went out of business. We've had many disappointments but the new crayola gel markers fit the bill. Not sure HOW they work - but they work GREAT! I hope Crayola will add more colors and also invent some crayons that will write on black paper.

Pretty colors . These work just like they are supposed to, similar to gel pens. However, it does take them a few seconds for the ink to show up, so younger children may have trouble. I teach 1st grade and think they would be fine for them. The colors are vibrant and pretty.

What is the FX? May be an improvement over Crayola Gel . I'm not sure what the FX means or if it is any different from the regular Crayola gel markers.
The crayola gel markers were a bit disappointing. They are not nearly as vibrant as the Foohy markers are (were???? they don't sell these anymore!!!!). In general, however, they are very good marker in good colors.
Good idea to store upside down - you get more for your buck by doing so.

Does anyone know the difference between the Gel and the Gel FX? I'd love to know if the FX colors are more vibrant? I think folks who used to use Foohy will understand what I mean by that.

Cons Review
Foohy Gel Markers Were Better . I used to have these markers made by Foohy, and I still use what's left of the ones that I have. But when Foohy stopped making their gel markers, I tried Crayola. Let's just say I was disappointed. They just don't compare to how well the Foohy brand markers worked. They take longer to dry, and aren't as versatile as the other markers were. Of course, Crayola is known for being THE brand in education, and I will admit that I love their colored pencils. But as for the gel markers: I donated mine and bought some paint markers instead. I'm only sorry that there are no longer any good kid friendly gel markers out there. I wish Foohy would make their gel markers again.
