Doesn't work . We got this toy for our four year old for Christmas and it did not work. Yes, we put in the batteries, yes we could see the lightbulb was working but the bulb was way to dim to project the image. We took it into the darkest room we could find and still no image. The people who love this toy could not have gotten the same one (different factory?) as we did. Very disappointing from a company who claims to make educational toys.

Projector great hit! . This projector was a great hit from the get-go. There are many, many images to pick from and really bring out the artistic side of any child. This is a great and inexpensive gift that won't likely be duplicated. Really pleased with this purchase.

Cons Review
Neither original nor replacement work. . I apologize for being so late in offering a review. I purchased this at the end of Dec 2009. There were no reviews at the time. The E-Z Art Projector is very well designed and engineered. There is only one problem. It doesn't work! Not even a dim light. I put it together, took it apart and changed batteries several times. I even found a specialty light bulb shop for a replacement bulb. (Lights Plus did not have one.) We were able to R & R the original bulb with difficulty. However the replacement bulb of the exact same type was slightly bigger. After several attempts we broke the $10 replacement bulb trying to get it through the access hole into the socket.
I related this to the manufacturer who quickly replaced the toy. SAME, IDENTICAL PROBLEM. I envy the other reviewers who got theirs to work.

VERY Poor quality...DISAPPOINTED! . This projector is junk. The light does not shine bright enough for my 5 year old to draw even in the dark!
Quality is a problem . My 5 yr old daughter received this tracing projector for Christmas 2010. She loved it! Lots of tracing discs. However, the quality is terrible, she only got to use the lamp a few days before the connections between the upright and the base quit working. Bending it to one side or the other will cause it to work for a few seconds until...no light again. Changed batteries, took apart, just junk connections. Great idea, your kid will like it, but only for a day or two.
Poor quality . I am extremely disappointed in this product.My grandson was only able to use it for about 15 minutes before the light went out and it was very hot inside. I would not recommend anyone to waste their money on this product. I would love to find one similiar that works.
One of the best gifts thru the years . This was one of the best gifts we've received through the years. We're not gentle on our toys & it's lasted well. We like that the pieces can be taken apart & put back together easily. In 2 years time, we've definitely used it enough to warrant buying a replacement bulb. Great for children who need more drawing-confidence & for those who enjoy tracing. The only thing I would improve: offering a choice in the images (i.e. more transportation/animals instead of clothing/household/food). That said, there was enough variety to please most kids.
Nice Projector . For being one of the least expensive projectors out there, this is a great choice. It's easy to put together, pretty durable, and it comes wil a lot of slides so kids can trace hundreds of items. My 5 year old girls love it.
fussyladyinNE . My 8 year old loves to draw so I thought this was a perfect gift for her. I was dissappointed in the quality of the product. Overall it is ok but the battery cover could be broken by an infant and does not feel like it will hold batteries in. Other than that it works good and my child is having fun making stories out of all of the images.
Great toy! . After reading other reviews on this item and similar projectors I almost didn't buy it. However it has turned out to be one of the best Christmas presents of all! The projector itself is made from a light weight plastic so it should be handled gently. The light is very bright and the images can be focused to a very clear outline. My 6 year old loves it and the rest of the family has also done their share of drawing. Great toy for the money!
