Worth the money! . I love this easel! I searched and searched for a easel for my son. He's 7 so this is perfect and he will be able to use it for a few years because it is a little taller than others. I didn't want something cheap that would fall apart easy. This easel is great!! Great construction! Easy to assemble. Worth the money!!

Missing Pieces . When we unpacked the items it all scattered. There were pieces missing and extra parts we did not need. Bought it for my daughter for Christmas, will be returning it and requesting for my money back. Will not buy from this company ever again.

Double Sided Easel Opinions
The one I was looking for . This is great, arrived in 2 days. The black chalkboard surface is 23 x 23 and the white surface side is the same. From the floor up to the bottom of the tray is 20". It took about 1 hour for us to put it together. Of course my husband and I had to have the usual ranting and raving during the process. The red cloth storage baskets have strong velcro straps that velcro around the board rather than loop thru it. I placed large plastic shoe boxes from the Dollar Store in each of the three compartments to put supplies in to keep the compartments looking nice We are grandparents and it took us back to those late Christmas Eve nights in the 1970's of 50,000 screws and missing parts. But this was NOT the case with this easel. All parts and all screws were there! I highly recommend this item.

Good for my toddler. . This item was a gift for my 2.5 year old and although we were concerned it might be a bit tall we bought it anyway and were pleasantly surprised to find out it had adjustable height making it short enough for my daughter to use but also giving it the ability to grown with her. My husband and brother put it together and it was fairly uncomplicated however the pictures were not entirely clear about the orientation of the pieces. The only complaint we have about the easle so far is that the chalk board is hard to write on. We've used a couple different types of chalk and they seem to be rubbing chalboard paint off more than writing on the board. We can't figure out how to make it better - maybe continued usage will wear it in a bit? Other than that we really like this for our child. The baskets hold a lot and they are right at her level and we hope she will continue to get a lot of enjoyment out of it for years to come.

Cons Review

Pleasantly surprised! . I purchased this as a Christmas gift for our 4 and a half year old daughter who loves arts and crafts! When it arrived, the main pieces were missing to put it together (all the screws and caps). There was no way to have it up and ready for Santa in the morning. I contacted the seller and they shipped the missing pieces within days! I had thought that this would have been a ravingly bad review but I was pleasantly suprised at the customer service efforts. SHE LOVES IT! Great quality and it is BIG - large enough to keep growing into it!Thank you!!!

great products . I bought 2 of these about 4 years ago when my twins were in nursery school. They are in first grade now and they are holding up great. I has a very sturdy front and several pockets. My suggestions to the other parents who say the other products were torn up by the children is to place these treasures in a place where only an adult can reach them. Even my first graders get excited to look through their old art work and I have to supervise. I do not want anything to get messed up. The folder has been a great storage saver and helps me keep the artwork from each twin separate.

Doesn't work . We got this toy for our four year old for Christmas and it did not work. Yes, we put in the batteries, yes we could see the lightbulb was working but the bulb was way to dim to project the image. We took it into the darkest room we could find and still no image. The people who love this toy could not have gotten the same one (different factory?) as we did. Very disappointing from a company who claims to make educational toys.

Projector great hit! . This projector was a great hit from the get-go. There are many, many images to pick from and really bring out the artistic side of any child. This is a great and inexpensive gift that won't likely be duplicated. Really pleased with this purchase.

Cons Review

Neither original nor replacement work. . I apologize for being so late in offering a review. I purchased this at the end of Dec 2009. There were no reviews at the time. The E-Z Art Projector is very well designed and engineered. There is only one problem. It doesn't work! Not even a dim light. I put it together, took it apart and changed batteries several times. I even found a specialty light bulb shop for a replacement bulb. (Lights Plus did not have one.) We were able to R & R the original bulb with difficulty. However the replacement bulb of the exact same type was slightly bigger. After several attempts we broke the $10 replacement bulb trying to get it through the access hole into the socket.
I related this to the manufacturer who quickly replaced the toy. SAME, IDENTICAL PROBLEM. I envy the other reviewers who got theirs to work.
(Too bad the minimum rating is one star.)

VERY Poor quality...DISAPPOINTED! . This projector is junk. The light does not shine bright enough for my 5 year old to draw even in the dark!

Quality is a problem . My 5 yr old daughter received this tracing projector for Christmas 2010. She loved it! Lots of tracing discs. However, the quality is terrible, she only got to use the lamp a few days before the connections between the upright and the base quit working. Bending it to one side or the other will cause it to work for a few seconds until...no light again. Changed batteries, took apart, just junk connections. Great idea, your kid will like it, but only for a day or two.

Poor quality . I am extremely disappointed in this product.My grandson was only able to use it for about 15 minutes before the light went out and it was very hot inside. I would not recommend anyone to waste their money on this product. I would love to find one similiar that works.

One of the best gifts thru the years . This was one of the best gifts we've received through the years. We're not gentle on our toys & it's lasted well. We like that the pieces can be taken apart & put back together easily. In 2 years time, we've definitely used it enough to warrant buying a replacement bulb. Great for children who need more drawing-confidence & for those who enjoy tracing. The only thing I would improve: offering a choice in the images (i.e. more transportation/animals instead of clothing/household/food). That said, there was enough variety to please most kids.

Nice Projector . For being one of the least expensive projectors out there, this is a great choice. It's easy to put together, pretty durable, and it comes wil a lot of slides so kids can trace hundreds of items. My 5 year old girls love it.

fussyladyinNE . My 8 year old loves to draw so I thought this was a perfect gift for her. I was dissappointed in the quality of the product. Overall it is ok but the battery cover could be broken by an infant and does not feel like it will hold batteries in. Other than that it works good and my child is having fun making stories out of all of the images.

Great toy! . After reading other reviews on this item and similar projectors I almost didn't buy it. However it has turned out to be one of the best Christmas presents of all! The projector itself is made from a light weight plastic so it should be handled gently. The light is very bright and the images can be focused to a very clear outline. My 6 year old loves it and the rest of the family has also done their share of drawing. Great toy for the money!

Great Easel! . I bought this table top easel for my son quite awhile ago and he loved it. I used it until he outgrew it and then passed it on to family who are still using it. It is durable and will last. I recently purchased another one for the little boys I babysit for Christmas and I am sure they will get tons of use out of it as well. It's great because it has the clips up top to hold paper and the tray on the bottom to hold paints and markers etc... It's nice because it doesn't take up a lot of space like floor easels and you can sit at a table and paint. It also has the dry erase board and the chalk board for added fun. I highly recommend this product and I would purchase it again for any other child. This is by far the best table top easel you can get and the price is good as well.

5-year old loves it! . My 5-year old son LOVES this easel. He loves the dry erase board, the chalkboard and the fact that he can clip pieces of paper to it to color it with crayons, regular markers or paint. He is also using it to practice writing, which I love. He loves that it is lighweight enough that he can carry it to the table himself (so long as the art supplies aren't "weighing down the tray") and I think that is helping him feel ownership of and responsibility for it. It was also very easy to assemble when we first got it. The only negative I have is that he gets so excited about using it, that he decides to go from the dry erase board (on one side) to the chalkboard (on the other side) in a matter of seconds and drags the easel when he flips it around- which scratched our table. We did end up adding foam to the bottom of he legs ourselves and the problem is now solved. But I guess it can't be so much of a negative since, after all, he prefers to play on this easel over watching TV-- now that's the real miracle.

Perfect Child's Easel . My two and a half year old grandson is truly enjoying his easel. I set it on his table and it's the perfect height. This easel is well made (sturdy) and extremely easy to assemble. Perfect for grandma's house!

excellent easel! . We love this easel- it's very good quality and the dry erase board and chalk board are excellent. The clips for the paper fit the Melissa and Doug easel pad paper perfectly. My 4 year old has a lot of fun with this, and it was definitely worth the money! Would recommend it enthusiastically!

Very Pleased . After looking at many different easels I decided to purchase this one for my 4 year old. It's very sturdy and doesn't slide on the table when my son uses it. The chalkboard and magnetic board work well and I'm glad the tray to whole supplies are generic so you can put any supplies you and were not preshaped for paint cups etc. I had purchased other products from Constructive Playthings and was very impressed so I wasn't expecting anything less, I was not disappointed.

Lots of fun! . This easle had been a lot of fun. My 6 yr. old daughter has enjoyed it very much. The clips are a little cheap that come with it, but so far every time they come apart I have been able to put them back together. The quality of the easle is very well built and sturdy. Overall, very happy with the purchase.

Great for artists of any age . A little difficult to attach the wingnuts on assembly, but other than that this is a great table top easel and both my kids 4 & 8 LOVE IT. We dont even put it away anymore because the kids are always playing with it. The best chalk to use for the chalk board is regular, plain ole white teachers chalk. I think this is a great buy.

Assembly made more difficult by plastic wrap . This easel looks good, but they made it more difficult to put together than it needed to be. They took sheets of plastic wrapped around the chalkboard and the white board on both sides and screwed through them into the posts that hold them up so that the only way to really get them off was to take the whole thing apart and put it back together. I hope it gets better from here.

great easel . I wanted something that i could set up on the table and leave for my daycare kids to be able to use when they want. It is sturdy and works great. my only complaint is that they do not fold down. but other then that, the chalkboard works great and erases well and same with the whiteboard. my kids are always using this and love it.

I Love it! . I love this easel, not onlyy did it arrive ahead of schedule, my one year old is having so much fun getting messy with every color paint there is! Its a way to teach your toddlers colors also. Have fun ;-)
