Fabulous - but NOT for under 10-12 years old . This toy is well-made and easy to carry and put away. Lots of supplies and I would definitely buy it again - if it were for a much older child than I bought it for (a 7 year old). The box says for 6 and above, but if a kid can figure it out at that age, then she should be enrolled in MIT. Child's mom and I sat down with the directions and wove a complicated combustion of colored strings (loop one over two, now three over 5, now.....). The child ended up getting bored and walking away as mom and I figured things out. If your kid can read and comprehend well and is somewhat talented in crafts, I highly reccomend this toy. If your kid is under 10, I wouldn't try it unless you, yourself, are interested in completing the project.

Excellent Product!!! . This is an excellent product! I bought this for my 8 year-old daughter. It was perfect she was able to use this with very little instruction and has made 3 bracelets since. She is almost ready for the more difficult patterns. It is really great to find a toy that is educational and promotes creativity that my child loves!

Does your bracelet curl . Love the product and is easy to use...but does anyone have any problems with the bracelets curling as they get longer? Ours never lays flat.

However for a child that young a parent or older child should help. it is very nice, although we have not tried any of the other friendship bracelet maker designs. I love that the patterns are free, and you can watch them on utube. The clip should have a stronger spring or some sort of a latch. Over all it is a very nice design.

Great creative thing to do . My daughter wanted to knit bracelets and when we saw this at Cosco (at about twice as cheap than here) we grabbed it. She got the hang of it pretty quickly. She is doing her first bracelet and though it has a few weak spots it looks good. My daughter is 6 and I think the age range is just fine. If the kid wants to learn it, they will. It is not that complicated. The most important thing is to start with the easy patterns like the stripe so that you can understand the basic idea how it is done. The instructional dvd is great in explaining how to do those bracelets. I was fearing it was going to be some really short video that will not be thorough but it actually is. This makes for a great gift!
Great As a Gift to Young Girls . Bought this for my 10 year old niece. She loves it. This kit has extra materials to make more bracelets.
Great toy! DVD was very helpful. . My 6 and 8 year olds use this all the time. There friends seem to like them as well. The DVD was very helpful.
