Couldn't Believe It! . Of all the markers that I have bought in the past that said "WASHABLE", they were up to a point, there was always that telltale shadow. Not these, they actually washed off my floor, table & wall, 3 different surfaces. I will always keep these markers in my house for my grandchildren & visitors to use...They are the BEST!
Crayola Washable Markers, Broad Point, Classic Colors, 8/Pack (58-7808) Reviews
New BLACK barrel pen body a deal breaker for the young. . My daughter has been using these markers daily for about two weeks.
First off, the performance of this marker set is wonderful. It is everything you should expect from Crayola.

But, this new BLACK barrel has no indication of the color of the ink inside. If your child is not old enough to put the caps back on the marker correctly, the only way to know the ink color is opening the cap, maybe looking at the tip, but, mostly by making a mark.

Would not buy this product again. But, I would happily buy regular (not washable) markers with the BLACK barrel for older children.

Yes it really will wash out of your child's clothes . My daughter is not exactly the color-inside-the-lines type, so she gets pretty covered in color. And it always comes out - every last bit.

Great does what it says! . When buying something that says washable, I'm usually the skeptic. But since these were required by our school, I bought them and was pleasantly surprised. Kindergartners have a way of attracting stains sometimes and this just washed out like a dream. Can't say enough good about them - the only complaint is that they dry out somewhat quickly. Other than that, highly recommend!
Washable? YES! . I cannot comment on the item itself, as I didn't pay much attention to if and how the item works. However, my 3 year old twins got hold of these markers, and while we thought they were taking a nap, they decided to color my (expensive)linen! When I saw the extent of their decorations, I honestly thought that it would not come out, sheets, bed-spreads, pillow cases, the works. For whatever reason, I was not able to wash the linen for THREE days. I soaked each set separately in oxy, then ran it through the washing machine..... and PRAYED!
When I took out the linen from the wash and inspected, I turned it back and forth over and over - I was shocked. There was NOT ONE stain on the linen!
Thank you Crayola for producing washable markers that truly are washable!
Agree with other posters black barrel is awful for preschoolers. . Same thing here, my 2.5 year old can't match the cap to the base by herself, since the base pen has no color identifier. Yes, I can cap them for her, but she loves cleaning up her own activities! Crayola I like where you are going environmentally, but there has to be a better way to do it.
Black barrel needs to go . I bought my kids (4,2) two sets of these for Easter to replace the old ones that were getting dry. The black barrel is ridiculous. You cannot match the lid with the pen. With the old markers, my kids were so proud of themselves when they matched the lid to the marker. We used it as a tool to learn colors and learn the concept of matching. Now, I cannot tell what lid goes with what marker unless I draw with it first. When we are in a hurry, we now grab any old lid and put it on the marker. Then the kids get frustrated the next time they want blue and end up drawing with purple instead. As soon as I can find a replacement, these are going in the trash.
a classic with a new twist . I recently purchased a few packs of these to help out with supplies in my sons classroom. I like that they've switched to recycled plastic. These markers definitely hold up better than off brands like Rose Art, but they don't seem to last as long as they did when I was a kid.
WASHABLE and FUN for my 4-year-old . I, too, was skeptical about a MARKER with claims it could be washed out of clothing. But I am very happy to report that Crayola's claim is true! My 4-year-old son loves using markers, but he doesn't always think about what he's doing with his hands when the cap of the marker is off (i.e. wiping his nose, scratching an itch on his leg, etc.) -- as you can imagine, he ends up with marker in many places other than paper. Thankfully, it washes off of skin fairly easily too. The markers are also easily wiped off of our dining room table. He is never allowed to use them unsupervised, however -- as I don't necessarily want to test the markers' washability from the walls... :)
Great For the Budding Artists . This was a gift for a young grandson who loves to color beyond anything else! These markers are great because they live up to their name...they are washable! Grandson and his mom are both happy!
