Very cute but not necessarily durable... . I purchased this doodle pro for my daughter for Christmas because she loves her mini one. She loved this one as well and has carried it around everywhere with her.

However, let me mention some of the pros and cons of the product since you are not reading this to find out if my child loved it or not.

Pros:

This is super cute, and it comes with stencils to increase the fun of using it.

The stencils are easily traceable even by my child (who happens to be in occupational therapy for fine-motor skills). I know some other reviewers mentioned that the tracing is not very dark, but I had no problem with it, and neither did my daughter.

There is a slot in the upper right hand corner to store the pen, so it does not hang out all of the time, and the handle makes the product easy to carry places.

Cons:

After using the product a few times, I noticed that it is not erasing as well or as thoroughly, so I'm ordering a replacement. Hopefully mine is a dud, and I'll update this review to that effect when I receive it.

The stencils can't be stored in the product, so they are easily lost. My daughter has been looking for the "pink one" for days now.

At any rate, at the price I purchased this, I am very happy, and my daughter loves it, so while I knocked off a star for the stencils storage and the erasing issue, I'm very pleased with it and would probably buy it again.

Awesome!! . My nephews are toy story freaks! They love this gift. The Magna Doodle itself but having the toystory stencils made the gift for them!

Tough Doodle Pro . This is a great doodle pro made by fisher price. I absolutely love that it has stencils with different Toy Story 3 characters which makes the doodle pro even funner! The characters look very much like the stencils when traced on the doodle pro. The only con i'd say about the product, is that it doesn't have a compartment to hold the stencils in. other than that, it is an excellent durable and fun doodle pro.

Great doodle pad for toddlers . This is a tough magnetic doodle pad. My 2 year old loves to scribble on it and its great not having to worry about him coloring on the sofa or walls. It has a place to store the pen but no place to store the stencils. Its a great size not too big or small. The Toy Story designs are really cute. The stencils are very detailed but should have a way of staying put when using them. Its ok for an adult to use but I would imagine small kids would have trouble using them. Overall a great value for $12.50 (got it as a lightning deal) I haven't seen a quality doodler for any cheaper than $15 but are generally almost $20.

Cons Review

Doodle Pro No . We have owned several Doodle Pros over the years, and I was excited to get this one for my 2 year old since she loves Toy Story. Well, the slides that you trace that come with it are not easy even for my 6 year old. They get lost since there is no where to store them and the pen doesn't have a way to not flop all around. At least it's attached so it doesn't get lost! The doodle pad part of the toy stays dark even though we slide the slider to clear it, but it doesn't all go away as others have done in the past. I wouldn't buy this or recommend it again. Although, the other Doodle Pro products that we've purchased in the past have always been great!

Very fun! . My son loved this and enjoyed being able to draw Buzz and Woody. Durable and easy to use, great for in the car.

Doodling fun . This toy is large and was fun for my young grandson on a long car ride but he doesn't play it a lot at home. The stencils do not adhere to the surface so it is hard for him to hold the board, the stencil, and the stylus to do the tracing so he usually just scribbles and erases. I was also a little disappointed that a magna doodle at this price did not include any of the shape magnets that you can press on the surface to make things. We have several in our church nursery that were cheaper than this and they included the magnets which is one of the children's favorite parts of playing with them. I thought they all came with it so I didn't check when I ordered this one.

Good idea....keeps my child busy . The only problem I had this item was the instant I took it out of its plastic wrap and opened it up, the chalkboard fell out of its hinges on the top. A little bit of extra strength super glue fixed it and am hoping the dry erase side doesn't fall out later. Otherwise my 2.5yr old loves writing with the chalk and putting magnetic letters on the other side. Great investment - even if I have chalk dust all over my floor.

Melissa and Doug magnetic dry erase easel . I like this little easel very much. I teach literacy and I needed something I could put on top of a table. It allows the kids to have a close view of the letters and words. Since painting is not part of my program, I use the holders for my pencils and markers...Perfect! I have to transport it back and forth several times from my literacy program site to my car, so I do wish that it folded without my having to unscrew the wooded pegs each time. However, if you have a permanent spot for this little easel, you will just love it!

Table top easel . The "dry erase" board is only a white plastic board with plastic over the top; therefore, it is next to impossible to clean. I was very disappointed and would not recommend this to anyone

My daughter loves this toy! . My 8 year old daughter got this for Christmas last year and she loves it. She keeps it on her short dresser which is nice because it doesn't take up floor space. She plays with it all the time. She loves to play school with her little sister and friends. It has been durable, the only issue I had was my daughter wiped the chalkboard side with a wet paper towel a few times and it started to warp the board a little. You can't tell unless you push hard on it in a certain spot. This is definitely one toy we have gotten our moneys worth out of.

Great Idea--Poor Execution . This table-top easel would be a great and useful "toy" if it were made well. We homeschool and have had this easel for a couple of years. It almost immediately fell apart. We have re-glued and re-stapled it several times. All Melissa and Doug painted-wood items we have purchased have not held together. This is because all the individual parts are painted before gluing, and the joints don't hold. As I stare at the pieces of this easel, which has fallen apart YET AGAIN, I would suggest that you search for a better table-top easel.

both received broken...poor product . both were received broken. Glue didn't hold produc together. it fell apart when it was opened. the would was so fragle it cracked in my hand...very disapointed.

Just what I was looking for. . This easle is the perfect size, not to big not to small. Great on top of my daughters little table and chairs. Her brother can use one side and she can use the other at the same time.

Very durable. They dropped it on the floor the other day and I found them riding it like a horse but it was no trouble at all.

The only problem that we are having is that the boards on each side are starting to come loose. I think I'm going to wait until they peel off a little more and then glue them back on. Right now it's not affecting it's use.

easel hunter . My 3year old son loves this easel. I like it because it sits on the table instead of most of them that take up a lot of room on the floor. We have had this easel for a year now and it has been pretty durable, one of the wooden screws will not stay screwed in anymore but it isn't an issue.

Cons Review

Easel(y) a Great Purchase . This is a great easel. The two sides provide a choice between chalk (which is what we're using most with my two year old) or dry erase marker. One of the best features is the magnetic surfaces on BOTH chalkboard and dry erase surfaces. You can play with this easel either on a table top or just on the floor. Educationally, the sky is the limit.

I highly recommend this easel. It' great fun. Easel(y), one of the best purchases we've made for our child.

I have had the same problems with this as others . As soon as I took it out of the plastic and picked it up, the easel fell apart. I was so upset because I was looking forward to opening this item and immediately surprising my child with some quality time and activity.

This is poorly put together, but once you use some glue and let it sit for while to dry it should be fine. My child absolutely loves the easel. Learning ABC's and numbers(education), drawing pictures(creativity), and playing connect the dots with straight lines(dexterity) all keep a child occupied, happy and more importantly interested.

Great idea. Poorly built product that can be fixed with some epoxy. I would have given 5 stars if it didn't immediately fall apart right out of the original packaging.

Needs better instructions . I'm an adult, and I got this for myself because I wanted a relatively inexpensive loom to fiddle with, to see if I could actually make something useful from this "toy". I figured since this was a toy, it would be easier. Well, having tinkered with the thing for about ten minutes now, my initial impression is that there is no way a 7 year old could figure out how to work this thing by themselves. The directions are perplexing to say the least. There are two booklets; one of them is supposed to be a quick start guide and the other a book of projects. For the rainbow scarf, I found you have to refer back and forth (at least to start) to both booklets. It felt like someone showing you what a bike was, the pieces of it, and then you were expected to just get on and peddle yourself off into the sunset. Not so much.

I feel like this loom COULD be easy to use, and that they PROBABLY did do all the hard work already getting it so it's ready to go when you receive it, but the instructions and illustrations are so confusing that I'm just not so sure anymore. I was more certain of its ease before the directions than after, and I think that says something. For example, the extra shuttle that's in the loom, is that supposed to be there? Do I need to take it out? They don't mention this in the booklets. The section on re-threading is so unintuitive that I've decided to read it again tomorrow when I've had some coffee and a night's rest. I mean, this really shouldn't be rocket science.

Overall, I've given this thing 4 stars because I think it WILL be easy to use once I figure out how to do it (on the Internet, not through the materials they've provided), and because it seems to be built sturdy (sturdily?). I'm sure I will get hours of enjoyment out of it and hopefully a completed, usable product; however, all this is wishful thinking in light of the fact that for now I simply cannot figure out if I'm even using this "toy" correctly at all.

By the way, this is the Easy Weaver A, not B. The booklets refer to both, and the box does not seem to mention the model.

HARRISVILLE LOOM ..... IS NOT THE BEST LOOM DEAL !! . After reading the rather weak Amazon reviews for this Harrisville loom I still did ( reluctantly ) order this loom from Amazon (for grandaughter 11th birthday ).
Shortly thereafter I discovered a superior quality loom from another source, and for less money. I cancelled my Amazon order!
The loom I purchased, is called "Little Quick Weaver", and is a mom and pop product from Michigan.
If you do an internet search, or an E-Bay search, using the "Little Quick Weaver" name, you will find where/how to purchase one.
I tried to provide the ordering/purchase specifics here, but Amazon removed that review.

Toy? or Mess! . I purchased the Easy Weaver A used for myself. Expecting it to be ready for weaving, the entire loom was a tangled mess. After untangling all the yarn and figuring out how to get it going took most of a day. It was a good thing that it was not purchased for a child. I was looking for something simple to learn weaving with and thought I would buy used.

When it arrived, I was very disappointed. I believe that the seller had misrepresented the item by not declaring that someone had cut the yarn at the base creating the mess. And it was definitely a mess.

Next time I will spend the extra to buy new.

this was $20 at Toys R us . This same kit was in the big toy book last Christmas (2006). It was less than twenty five dollars. My kids loved it but the wood case hinges did break rather quickly. Shop around for a good deal.

Why so much on Amazon? . Great gift but only $32.99 at Toys R Us this year. Why such a MAJOR price difference on this site? Ridiculous!

Disappointing Case . The contents of the case are wonderful! It contains crayons, colored pencils, markers, oil markers, water colors (with one small brush), glitter, glue, scissors (no paper). I bought this for my 8 yr. old grandson who enjoys and does well in using art to express himself. The case arrived in shrink wrap. I immediately saw the handle was cracked and one edge of the case was chipped. The handle broke in two. Rather than return it and since we do woodworking, I decided we would repair the handle. We have glued it. The repair was not perfect; and I now must sand and restain. In retrospect I could have bought something equal to this case at an arts and crafts store or possibly bought each of the Crayola contents in separate packages. The contents are great; the case very disappointing. I bought the smaller art kit for my granddaughter. The colors were packed in Crayola boxes. Paper, scissors and glue included. I had to set up the kit. We have to glue in the liners of the case. When you close the lid the contents fall out.

Nice Art Set - Buy somewhere else . I saw this same art set at our local Toys 'R Us and didn't immediately buy it because I wanted to see if I could get it cheaper on Amazon (which is often the case). Toys 'R Us was selling the same item for $34.99 which is needless to say where I purchased it. Looks to be a very nice art set for my daughter.

Awesome Item for Christmas! . We got this as a Santa gift for our 6 year old daughter. She hasn't opened it yet, obviously, since it's not Christmas but it arrived on time and it wasn't broken. We did, however, buy it from Toys R Us. Just wanted to review on here, as well. I have shopped at amazon.com for YEARS and have always been pleased with their service and their competitive pricing. That being said, I can not believe that this is going for $75 now! I bought it at Toys R Us for $24.99 a few weeks ago! They are now out of stock, and maybe Crayola is discontinuing this product, which would explain the sky-high price on amazon. It's a great set, but definitely not worth paying $75 for it! Save your money and get the Crayola Super Art Coloring Kit - your child will still be thrilled and you will still be able to sleep at night! :)

The Reason for $$$$ . The complaint seems to be that this site is asking way too much money for this item. It's because it is not being sold by Amazon, but by "sillyfamilyof7LLC" who are obviously trying to rip off the general public by charging nearly double what it actually retails for. Gotta love it.

Disappointed w/ design flaws . While this product is great for small spaces and offers fun activities as promised, I had a problem with mine sliding back while my child was "creating." When I set something behind the legs to keep it from sliding, it began collapsing altogether. I didn't rate it lower because I put it away for when she can draw with a lighter hand. I was also thinking I might affix some sort of rubber to the legs because our table is very smooth (but it is a "tabletop" easel so I would have thought the designers would have accounted for smooth surfaces.) Also, I didn't like the way the paint tray/cups cover the bottom portion of the marker board/painting surface.

Excellent Table-Top Easel . This table-top easel is great because we have a small apt. It currently sits on a small play table and when our toddler paints we move it to our dining room table so she has more space. When the paints are not in use, our 3 yr uses it to draw/story-tell. Even our 1 yr old likes to cruise by and make marks with the crayons/chalk. It is very nice quality and easy to put together. Since this easel is easy to assemble/disassemble, you need to re-tighten the side knobs occasionally. I like that if we want to store away, it won't take up a ton of space. It would make a great toddler gift.

Great hands-on toy . Purchased these for a 5-year old girl-s birthday. She (and her brothers) have had a blast with them. They're such an easy toy to pick up and play with - and the bright colors and softness and suppleness of them makes everyone want to grab one or more. From there, imagination takes off! Had I seen these in person in time, I would have bought them for my family to play with when the adults get together for wine, cheese, opening gifts, and fun. We love to be kids again and I know everyone would have been playing! I'll buy them for next year.A good thing to know: these really are large pipe cleaners - I was amazed at how long they are and how soft and fluffy, even though I had read the dimensions. The colors are awesome, and if a parent helps open the box, they can be stored in the box with the top on so they don't get lost!

Hrs of fun . We gave this as a birthday gift to a 6 yr old girl. Her and my daughter played with it for hrs building and rebuilding different things. They had fun attaching it to themselves. Creative low-tech toy . We got my 3 yr. old this toy for Christmas. She loves it! She draws on it, then erases, and keeps repeating! It's really hard to find a toy that a child will love that doesn't take batteries in this day and age, which is what makes this toy so special. I'm a big fan of low-tech toys that encourage creativity and this one definitely fits that bill! The only thing I don't like about this sketch pad is that it doesn't hold the magnetic shapes securely. We have only had it for 2 weeks and two of the shapes are missing. I'm thinking about removing the other two shapes and putting them away because I'm afraid my infant is going to swallow them.

Good entertainment . The Doodle Sketch is a good toy for little hands that are beginning to draw. My only criticism is that the erasing mechanism can be too hard for little ones - as I have three of these for grandchildren I know that this is different for each toy. I still recommend it. The smaller version is good for travel and just as entertaining.

not bad but... . We bought this for our 27 month old for Christmas and she loves it. She had a smaller/travel/pocket version, so we suspected that a bigger one would be a hit. It feels very light and I wish it were a little sturdier/durable feeling for a toddler toy and I second the annoyance of the um-magnetic stamps that a previous poster has noted. It is hard for my toddler to get the "pencil" out of its holder on the side (which doesn't really bother me), but what does bother me is the design of the star. Rather than make it equal sided, it's a stylized star which means that it will only go in ONE way (otherwise, getting lost, misplaced, etc). That is VERY annoying and easily fixed by someone thinking about it from a kid's point of view.

Disappointed . This is a fun toy. However, the magnetic powder does not last very long. The drawings fade quickly. It doesn't mark like it should. We have a different brand which looks almost identical, that works a lot better.

My grandkids love it . I had one of these for my kids, and they loved it. Now, I've bought them for my grandkids, and they love them. They play with it for long periods. It's good for a broad range of ages. I bought one for my older grandson, but my one year old twin grandkids always wanted to play with it, so I bought ones for them, too. The only bad thing is you do have to be careful with the younger ones, because they tend to lean on it or step on it, and that can damage it somewhat, but all in all, it holds up pretty well even to that.

Cons Review

Disappointment . I was disappointed in the quality of this toy. Maybe I got a defective one, but the white surface "bubbles" up so you have to really press down with the pen to make contact with the magnet (and thus doodle). This frustrated my 2 year old son, since he is not coordinated enough to press down really hard with the pen. Also, the erase lever did not work well either because of the surface bubble. You have to press down on the white surface while you move the lever, otherwise the eraser does not make contact and it does not erase the drawing. We are planning to donate this to goodwill and get a Fisher Price doodler instead. I wish I had looked at one in the store before ordering on-line.

Love Doodle Pads . We bought this for my 3-year-old's birthday. He had a travel Doodle Pad and loved playing with it. He had played with this type of pad with the shapes to use as well as the pen and really liked it so I thought he would enjoy it. The Ohio Art one was less expensive than the others and although the shapes were not held in a tray/drawer I thought if he did not like it I had not spent $30 or $40 on it so that would be fine. Well, he LOVES this pad. The shapes stay pretty well in the holders as they are magnets but you have to keep a watch that they don't get lost. He likes making the letters of the alphabet on it or we draw them for him and he will trace or erase the drawing and try it himself. Sometimes he will want us to hold his hand to help him draw the letter or picture.
Pros: Great for over 3 to practice drawing skills.
Can teach shapes also.
Carry handle and not too large to travel with if wanted.
Less expensive than others.

Cons: Usually takes 2 or 3 passes to fully erase a drawing.
There is a small part on our pad that cannot be erased... some sort of broken area.
Small shapes can fall off the pad and get lost or put in smaller kids' mouth!

Overall, we love this Doodle Pad even with a small part that won't erase. Luckily the main artist of the family does not seem to mind this minor defect.

Cheap quality . I was very disappointed when I removed this product from the box. Very cheap feeling. The shape magnents don't stay in there spots. You are not getting a good deal it is junk. Highly recommend buying a Fisher Price on instead.

Hours of fun . We purchased this toy for our young granddaughter. She loves to draw constantly and on everything. The ability to draw, erase, draw erase has kept her busy and delighted for hours at at a time. It's also a perfect in the car toy, nothing to melt or stain. The toy is perfect lap sized, easy to use and seems quite durable. We are getting her one for her home as well for her birthday we are so pleased with the doodle sketch.

Picnic in a Tote . This has a large canvas bag, a set of fleece blankets, and Crayola color markers. I made a picnic blanket out of the two fleece pieces by tying the edges. It was a fun time with my daughter. I let her color the bag with the markers and it turned out well. Now I have a picknic in a bag and a fond memory. This is a fun project for young girls(or boys)

ART EASEL DESK Reviews - A perfect place to create a masterpiece with room to share! The Art Easel Desk is a desk with plenty of storage, plus a sturdy easel with a supply shelf and art clip.

Super cute! . The Art Easel Desk possesses all the qualities I've come to know and love about the Step 2 company's products. They make products that hold up even with the toughest kids. Believe me I know. Assembly was really easy, but somewhat time consuming. Getting the screws through the hard plastic will take some muscle. I don't consider myself all that savvy when it comes to putting things together or to have much in the muscles department, but I had this up and ready to use in about 45 minutes. The instructions have nicely illustrated pictures and everything is labeled with a letter. I loved how easy they were to follow. This desk is recommended for ages 1 1/2 + I honestly think a child under 2 would be too tiny to really enjoy this. Size wise this is perfect for kids between the ages of 2-5. My 6 year old is even enjoying it, but she is too big to really use the desk side. It is very stable unlike some of the table and chair sets made for toddlers. I don't think this would have any tipping issues. I love the hidden compartment under the small whiteboard. It is a great place to stow crayons and a coloring book. The other organizer keeps markers handy and within reach. If there were bins underneath I'd consider this the perfect starter desk for toddlers and preschoolers.This is all around durable product, and exactly what you'd expect from Step 2.

Desktop could be bigger otherwise okay. . I am totally inept when it comes to building things, so I saved it for my husband. Maybe he made it look easy, but it only took him about 15 minutes with an automatic screwdriver and I didn't hear any swearing so I figured that was a good sign. Like with other Step2 products, it seems very sturdy.My son knew it was for him and went over to it immediately upon completion. However, he had a bit of trouble getting his legs over and inside the desk. He's almost 3 but is above the 100th percentile in both height and weight (40" tall and 41#), so he's a big kid--probably about the size of at least a normal 4 or 5 year old--and he seems to be almost too big for this desk. Yes he can sit at the desk, but it takes a bit of finagling and it looks a bit awkward.I think the desktop itself could be just a bit larger. It won't even fit a regular-sized coloring book--so the book has to sit cockeyed on it or you have to shove it between the sides so the ends curl up. Also, the holes for markers/pencils/crayons is neat, but I feel it's a bit too shallow for markers and the holes are a bit too big for crayons (but not big enough for two) so you really can't fit that many in there. Books do fit behind the marker stand but not in the desk itself (under the lid). We don't have a lot of space so thought this was a good option. We'll see how much my son actually uses it, as it's been together for about five days and he's played at it three times for maybe a total of 15 minutes.

Well Designed Product . We bought this easel for our 3 yr old nephew who loves to draw and paint. My husband assembled it prior to giving it to him as a gift, and setup was easy, only taking about 10 minutes. It seems very sturdy, and although it was smaller than I expected, it is more than adequate for a young child. However, our nephew is of average size, and I think the desk might be outgrown fairly quickly. His 5 year old older sister is already too large for the desk.Our nephew loves using the easel. He has spent countless hours both sitting in the chair, drawing and painting to his hearts delight. All in all, this easel provides good value for the money.

Best for ages 1 to 4 . This is a sturdy little plastic desk and easel combination best suited for ages 1 to 4. We tried it in a small classroom with ages 1 to 7. The desk is sized best for ages 2-4 and the easel for ages 1-3. Older than that would either hunch over at the desk or be too tall for the easel, which is just under 3 feet tall. While slightly larger children could still use it for shorter periods, if you are shopping for someone older than 4 look for something more appropriate.For the younger children, the desk and easel worked well and it was nice and sturdy. It was pretty much what we expected, as we have a similar desk (without easel) made by Today's Kids. We (and the children) really like that this can be used by 2 children at once.Assembly was fairly simple. It is held together by a bunch of screws that you poke through a hole in once piece into a dimple in the other, and push hard enough to start a new hole. Be careful not to over-tighten; there isn't much resistance when fully tight so watch to see when the screw is all the way in. It does require a bit of force to start a new hole, and be sure to push the screw in straight so it starts correctly.Both whiteboards (one on the desk and one for the easel) arrived chipped around the edges, which was disappointing.This is a small and stable desk which doesn't take up much room; however, note that it does NOT "fold for easy storage" as the product description on amazon states.Recommended for small children.

Great Desk/Easel for younger children . Step 2 has made another great product. This Art Easel Desk is perfect for the little budding artist. It features a white board with a clip on one side that also has a little shelf to store markers, etc. The desk side of the easel is perfect for coloring. The desk lifts up for more storage and there is also storage above for markers and coloring books. This desk is best suited for younger children. This desk is almost too small for my 4-year old (he is big for his age). Assembly is fairly easy and I would recommend a power screw driver because it is a lot easier. The unit is fairly compact so it is great for smaller homes. Highly recommend!

The perfect desk for my 2yr old! . I've long been a fan of Step2 products, with a 7 1/2yr old and almost 2yr old we've owned many. I prefer natural materials for most of my childrens toys when appropriate but when it comes to art desks, slides, etc nothing beats the quality or construction and the lasting value of Step2... I swear you could drop one from a roof or off a truck and it would bounce down and be perfect. When my older daughter was a toddler we bought her the step2 art desk, I thought it was great but quickly realized that it was really too big (she'd try to climb on it to reach the markers and crayons stored on top, it took up a huge amount of space) and that the chair being separate meant that she was either dragging it around to get into trouble (using it to climb onto things) or falling off it when trying to climb on it to reach the top of the desk. When I saw this option for my 2yr old I knew I found the perfect first art desk. It's much more compact, yes the surface is little... but so is my 2yr old! I love that the seat is built in so she can't topple backwards or drag the chair away. The easel on the other side is a wonderful use of space and the whole thing fits in a small space and is light enough for me to move around as needed. By the time my daughter outgrows this desk she'll be ready to sit at the actual table to do her drawings and coloring. Way to go Step2 on another great product!

A very fun solution for kid's creativity . As a parent of four children, I'm always on the lookout for creative art solutions for them. We have a small space in our townhome, so we can't always go with huge easels and other art solutions. So that's why we love this art easel desk. It's nice in that at least two kids can be occupied at the same time. One can sit and the other can stand. If your kids are younger, you might even get two at the desk. We also like the storage space underneath the desk/drawing area. This allows you to store your markers and other art utensils. Also, this is made of durable, flexible plastic--kid friendly--so they won't get hurt when they bump into it and it won't snap or crack. It's also just the right size. IT won't take up a ton of room, especially if you have a small space. Lastly, the instructions were surprisingly easy. It was a snap to put together. I highly recommend this art station.

Great easel/desk with a small footpring . This is a neat solution for smaller spaces, the desk and easel combo combine two things that take up the space of one. I was disappointed that the eraser board slat for the easel was dinged pretty badly right out of the box. This is a major bummer, but I am going to call Step2's customer service to see if they will send a replacement. Other than that, I am really happy with it.

Suitable for kids shorter than 3 feet . I own several Step2 products. Art Easel Desk offers similar quality product at a reasonable price. While it isn't as future proof as more expensive products such as Alex My Art Desk with Paper Roll, but it is perfectly cute, durable, and functional for younger kids.Step2's Art Easel Desk is easy to put together, minus few "oops, that goes over there" hiccups. My 3 year old son enjoyed building it together in about 30 minutes. The easel desk consists of two parts: (1) activity desk and (2) easel.First, the desk. My son is 38 inches tall and it is all too small for him to sit comfortably. I would say the desk is usable for kids 32 inches or shorter. In addition, it can be a bit difficult for younger kids (18 months to 2 year) to get in and out on their own. Although the desk is more durable than it appears, the paper-based drawing pad may wear out if it gets too wet (e.g., oil painting).Second, the easel. The easel is also too short for taller kids. It's suitable for kids 34 inches or shorter. The easel pad is also paper-based. Step2 missed the opportunity to substitute magnet friendly metal pad.All in all, Step2's art easel desk is good in concept but marred by small size. Integrated chair is very nice and the product occupies very small space. But for those with tall kids, I recommend getting more future proof products instead.

Cool in theory but a bit disappointing. . My 3-year-old son is a huge fan of the Magna Doodle so we were excited when he received this as a gift for his birthday. The stencils are nice but the dry erase markers are horrible. The eraser that comes with it does not erase the marker at all. It just makes a huge mess across the screen and the red leave in on it no matter how much you scrub with the eraser. Pretty much I'll have to go at it with some cleaning products and paper towel.

It was a great idea, though.

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!! . My 2 1/2 year old daughter loves her old doodle pad so much it was time to get a new one. We saw this and thought it looked great! It is a joke. Not only are the markers dull in color, they do not erase off the screen at all with the eraser. Also, we found that even when using the traditional magnet pen we had trouble erasing the screen. We went from having a doodle pad be a independent play toy to one that she needs constant help with. Stick with the plain old doodle pad - which is what we went back and got!

Not impressed . I do not recommend this toy at all. The package makes it look great, but it's very deceiving. The colors are not as bright as they appear. The markers are so messy. They marker eraser doesn't work. I would title this toy "JUNK" Don't waste your money.

The best toy ever invented! . This is awesome. My 5 year old and my 21 month old each have their own. They would always fight over one so we had to buy another. They sit next to eachother and doodle for hours. And ask me to draw (which I love) We have so much fun with it. I don't much care for the markers, although the ones that came with ours are very bright and colorful, its a pain to clean the color off (will only come of with a wet cloth, then a dry one) the dry eraser for the markers doesn't work for crap. Its really neat that you can color your pictures but I get tired of cleaning it off for my 5 year old every few minutes and end up telling her "Lets not use the markers anymore today" They are better for an older kid unless you don't mind keeping some wet wipes handy to clean it off every time. But the magnetic pen, the drawing part is just awesome. My girls never ever ever get tired of playing with this. We also have a smaller one that we take with us (it helps keep my toddler quiet in church and other places)
I think just about any kid would probably love this toy.
Sometimes we have to pull the erase thing across it more than once, but that is really not a big deal. Be sure and read the instructions before using this. It says to color the screen in completley and erase several times before using it to draw. That could be why some people have problems with it. Maybe they did not read where it says to do that.

Cons Review

Doodle Prow Glow . Great product with pro's & con's like most. The drawing board lights up blinks & glows. Includes 3 glow markers, 5 tracing templates & eraser-plus a storage drawer for the markers and a separate storage slot for the tracing templates.

Offers quite a bit more than your traditional Magna Doodle, but with that come some inconveniences. For one be prepared, to assist your child in removing and returning the tracing templates to the storage slot. Which, is far to narrow for a 3 or 4 year old to maneuver without tearing the templates.

My 4-year old loves this product and does an amazing job of tracing the pictures, but erasing the pictures is an entirely different story. We used the dry eraser per the instructions and ended up with a mess and a scratched drawing surface. So, we've resorted to first wetting the eraser then drying the drawing surface after with a paper towel. This has worked out very well and my preschooler can do this on her own.

One of the biggest cons for us is not being able to purchase additional markers without buying the accessory packs, which include 3 markers and 10 tracing templates. Although, the cost will only set you back about four dollars, we've already purchased 3 accessory packs leaving us with 35 templates, which is about the max the storage slot will hold. At this point I would rather just purchase 10 markers.

great toy! . my sister got this toy for her 5th birthday and i play with it more then she does and we're 7 years apart! (i'm 12!)

Not so happy with this! . We really like Magna doodles but not this one...it really does not work so good and it just isn't worth it for me! Pass on this one.

Very Misleading . The picture they use is very misleading. The "color" componant is comprised of three dry erase markers. The eraser that is included does not erase in the least bit, so you have to use a wet paper towel or equivalent. Stick to the basic Magnadoodle as the color one has no added benefits.

Positive Review . I purchased two Doodle Pros for 2 five year olds, one boy, one girl. They both enjoy playing with them for long periods of time. The parents have fun with them as well. The tracing feature is different and fun. The colors wipe off easily with a wet cloth but can be messy on the hands. When using just the magnetic drawing pencil we found it to erase just fine. We were careful to color in the entire screen before use however, per the instructions. I like the way the markers have their own storage drawer in the screen itself. I would say this product is worth the money.
