PERFECT for travel . This kept my 34 month old daughter occupied during a recent long plane trip. I was able to pull out the Wikki Stix again and again when she got bored or restless. It's nice and compact, not messy, and quiet. These will be a go to toy for us again. I highly recommend it.

Fun for my 5yo and 2yo . My son has been asking me for bendaroos for the longest time so i got him these since they are pretty much the same thing. i believe the only difference is that the wikkistix have an adhensive quality that lets them stick to glossy books or other shiney surfaces. the book included is very amusing and give kids creative ways to use the wikkistix. for example there is a page with under water scenery with seaweed and such and you use the wikkistix as if they are seaweed and create other under water critters or scenery. my son wraps them around his pencils, toys, and uses them in other books. overall he has a lot of fun with them and it allows him to express some creativity. the other day he made me "heart balloons" with them. my 2yo mimics what he does and they can play together easily without fighting over them since there are many.

Wikki Stix . I got this for my best friends little girl when she turned 4 years old in February. She absolutely loves these Wikki Stixs and spends hours creating interesting things with them.

Made in the USA! . Wikki stix are an excellent, quiet time activity that is highly entertaining. The books are sturdy and well constructed. No need to worry about toxicity from Chinese manufacturing with this. Nice job!

Wikki Stix . This came in so handy on my recent flight. Entertained my 2 year old for a good 1/2 hour.

Great fun for a vacation and plane ride . This is not a long-term toy that your toddler is going to want to keep going back to play with (at least it wasn't for mine). It kept her busy on an international plane ride and a 2 week vacation --- along with other toys of course. She was only 2.5 at the time and really couldn't use the wikki stix like the book's pictures, but she still had fun sticking them in different positions throughout the book. If your child is older, they might appreciate the book more. Otherwise, for toddlers, you can get the wiki stix at dollar stores for cheaper and just use any old hard page book (so no page ripping) --- it could be just as fun. I liked this purchase because the price was reasonable and it is a really cute hard page book that came with colored wikki stix.

Wonderful WIkkis - A great quite toy . My 3 yr old twins love Wikki sticks. I usually break them out when we are restaurants, or any place we need a quite contained toy. They are great for airplanes to - they even stick on the windows and they don't leave any residue behind. They easily entertain my kids for at least a half an hour.

Quickly Used Up . The description gives the impression that the wikki stix can be used over and over again. We probably played with them twice before the were over. The problem is that they stick to other things, not leaving a residue but picking up fine hairs and fibers that eventually they no longer stick the pages. And when you do remove them from the original packaging it is a pain to put them back.

Many reasons to love this . First, Amazon really rose to the occasion when this gift was somehow lost in the mail. Without having to blame the USPS (whose fault we all suspected it was), they just said..."we'll ship another". And, my niece got it before Xmas! Cheers to you Amazon for excellent client service, I will definately remember that next time I need to shop online. Moreover...apparently the toy is really cool and my niece loves to play with it (she's 5). Good experience all around. Cheers!

Wikki Sticks . I was a little nervous after reading various negative reviews when considering purchasing Wikki Sticks for my 5-year-old daughter. Primarily, I read about them being sticky and messy, and since I have virtually outlawed PlayDough in my house, this caused no little concern. However, the Wikki Sticks are perfectly clean. They don't leave much if any "sticky residue," as I read in one complaint. They certainly don't cause "tracking" in any way. They are easily manipulated and contorted by my little girl's hands (which are small and not exceptionally strong). The only complaint I would have is that there are no "molds" or "forms" for which she can follow to make things. She doesn't seem to mind, however. She is perfectly happy to make little scrunched-up balls. So, in short, I think the Wikki Sticks are a good, safe, and educational (inspiring some imagination) toy. I am happy with this purchase!

You just can't have too many. . If you have children, you need wiki sticks. Any age, any interests, any anything. The kids can use Wiki sticks. I have enjoyed seeing the multitude of creative ideas my daughter has had for them. Of course, kinesthetic learners can really this sort of "hands-on" training for letters and shapes. Trust me, you can't go wrong with these things. They make a great birthday gift for the child you don't know too. You WILL find them stuck and wrapped around any number of things in your house, but they are just waxy strings and pull right off. I have never had anything stained by them either.

Adaptable Play . My 7 year old daughter makes jewelry with these and enjoys making different color combinations. They are a quiet and clean activity and she uses them over and over. They are good for in the car. We store them in a resealable bag.

Wikki Stix are great but this package is only a pretty good value. . My wife heard a recommendation for Wikki Stix, and this seemed like a pretty good package to start out with. There were about twelve colors total - ten different colors in the main set of 72, and some of the favor bags included other colors that were not in the main set. The included games were pretty nice, but not really necessary. You get a spinner that has several categories, like "types of food" or "something in a house", and the players are then supposed to make something that fits into that category. A set of white cards are included to stick the creations on. Also included is a very large picture of a clown for a "Stick the Nose on the Clown" game. The instructions suggest having each player write their name in the spot they stuck the nose, and then you are left with a picture with everyone's name on it as a keepsake. I think that's a nice idea. So overall the extra game pieces are pretty good, but it would be easy to play the same games without the same pieces.

If I was ordering again, I would probably pick a larger set like BIG COUNT BOX by Wikki Stix, which is a much better per-piece value, but I'm still happy with my purchase of the Party Kit.

Fun times two! . We are already fans of Wikki Stix in our home, so I wanted something I could include in a few activity bags our church has out to occupy small children during services. The party favor bags in this set are perfect for that. For 7.99, I got eight favor sized bags with ten stix and an activity sheet to include in the bags plus the 100 stix and large clown activity for my own children to play with. We also took these on a road trip, and they occupied the girls for a couple of hours!

The cats LOVE it! . This was a great deal! $5 for endless kitty amusement.

I really like the stems, they are a little fluffy and the striped colors are excellent. If I was still making pipe-cleaner animals I'd choose these over the plain colors. However, the purpose for this batch was to entertain my 4 cats (1 kitten). Scrunch the stems so they are springy, or just throw them on a slippery surface, and the cats will chase them all over the place. I was a little worried they might try to chew the ends and hurt themselves, but this hasn't been a problem. (They do like chewing them, but it seems safe.) I also gave some to a friend with 2 cats, and his cats also go wild over the stems. The stems don't really wear out, so as long as you can fish them out from under the fridge they should last for ages.

A fantastic buy!

Got the job done . I needed an oversize pipe cleaner to clean out the orfice in the lid of my pressure cooker, and this was just the ticket.

Great hands-on toy . Purchased these for a 5-year old girl-s birthday. She (and her brothers) have had a blast with them. They're such an easy toy to pick up and play with - and the bright colors and softness and suppleness of them makes everyone want to grab one or more. From there, imagination takes off! Had I seen these in person in time, I would have bought them for my family to play with when the adults get together for wine, cheese, opening gifts, and fun. We love to be kids again and I know everyone would have been playing! I'll buy them for next year.A good thing to know: these really are large pipe cleaners - I was amazed at how long they are and how soft and fluffy, even though I had read the dimensions. Great for travel . I purchased this for a road trip and was so pleased that despite its simplicity (waxed yarn, who knew??), it kept the kids (2 and 5 at the time) entertained for a good amount of time. I wish I had purchased the kind that come in a tube because dirt and fuzz are kryptonite to wiki stix. Be sure to put the stix away in a closed container or their lifespan will be significantly diminished. One small annoyance is that wiki stix do leave a little bit of a residue on your hands after playing with them.

pricey for what you get but it is a great airplane toy . I am always on a hunt for the holy trinity of airplane toys: quiet, lightweight, keeps the kid occupied for a good long while. Wikki Stix (which are wax-covered string) are it! My preschooler enjoyed playing with them on the airplane, and when we reached our destination, her older cousins loved playing with them too. They can be re-used many times.

This set comes with a bunch of the Stix and also cardboard cards where you can practice making basic shapes and combining basic shapes. My daughter was not interested in the cards and neither were her older cousins. So next time I think I would get a big set with more Stix and no cards.

Best Wikki Stix Trick or Treat Pak

great for classroom parties . Bought these for an activity for 3rd graders to use at a classroom party. No mess, kids all liked them, and the activity kept them busy just as long as the party planners wanted them to be. It only takes a couple of minutes to use the alloted wikki stix to do the dot-to-dot sheet but then kids were trading sheets and trying other dot-to-dots and the party parents made suggestions like making a 3-D person (directions on back of dot-to-dot. Kids got to take home their wikki stix; better than a piece of junk craft that has wet glue and just gets tossed out. The teachers were happy there was no mess. The parents of kids with allergies were happy that we could verify that the product was peanut product-free and latex free.

Note that there are assorted dot-to-dots in each bundle. The colors of wikki stix in each pack differ according to what the picture is. So if you have a cat it will be mostly black wikkis. If you have a pumpkin it'll be mostly orange. This was not a big deal for our group. Kids shared if they wanted to try a different color scheme.

Wikki Stixs . Kindergarten class loved making shapes, letters, and pictures. Excellent alternative to giving candy at Halloween.

Wikki Stix Books GREAT for plane travel . This was great to distract/occupy my 3-year old twins on a 1.5 hour plane ride. They spent at least 30 minutes playing with this book and another I purchased. Thirty minutes for a three-year old is AMAZING. I could not have asked for more. FYI, I like the wiggles and squiggles Wikki Stix book a little better than this one for my just-turned 3-year olds. The Curious George one is better for older 3-year olds, I think, although both were GREAT.

Fun enough . I bought this on sale for a Christmas Eve activity and my kids enjoyed it. I wish the pages weren't printed back-to-back so you could keep the sticks on one activity without having to take them off 2 seconds later so you could work on the other page. And the packet doesn't come with very many sticks. Now, having said that, it includes paper ornaments you can cut out and decorate and those were a hit!

great resource fun tool . This item is a fabulous resource. Being a teacher of special education, wikkistix are an easy item to utilise. In the past, I've used them with blind children when creating tactile maps, as a sensitising precursor to following a line of braille dots. They are a great multisensory activity builder, especially if children are tactile defensive. With the students I am teaching at the moment, we are forming letters and tracing them; we use them to bundle sticks. I use the wikkistix as a type of assessment tool, e.g asking the students to make the letter they hear at the beginning of a spoken word. It's non-threatening and novel. They can be pulled out as an instant resource - no preparation needed.I'm sure they could be utilised in many more ways too.

lots of fun! . 144 pieces is alot of wiki sticks! it kept my kids happy for a really long time. there is no mess and they are reuseable so we dont have to throw them out after a use. These are great for long car rides.

Fantastic . Wiki sticks are so fantastic. They provide people of all ages a lot of creative fun. These are great to bring along with little ones to a restaurant. They sit quietly and have fun using their imagination. Totally great product.

Great Arts and Crafts Kit! . For anyone not familiar with Wikki Stix they're yarn covered in special wax that can be molded, stuck together, and stuck on surfaces. They're great for little kids since they don't leave a residue and can be used over and over again. No more worrying about mess. I highly recommend them to anyone with young children.

Awesome . The best craft toy my daughter has ever played with. If I give my daughter a few of these, she will play quietly by herself for hours at a time. She is almost 4 and loves shaping the stix into letters, numbers, animal shapes. She makes necklaces and rings. The best part is that there is no mess, and when she's done, she can straighten them out and use them all over again.

As described . Product was exactly described. I just expected 144 pieces to look like more and was surprised when I got the package. I have not used them yet with my class, but I suspect they will be a hit.

Wikki Stix are Wicked Fun! . Wikki Stix are durable enough for a classroom of 20 Kindergarten students, and able to be used in as many ways as you can imagine. As a bonus, they make a perfect quiet toy to keep in the back seat or in your bag without a mess, whenever you need a distraction (restaurants, banks, etc.). Write big letters on index cards, and let kids press down stix to match letters. Wrap them around a pencil to make a quick grip, or have kids use them to "fish" for plastic magnetic letters ... endless possibilities from a classic toy.

Disappointed . Decided to give Wikki stixs a try after my sons (age 6 and almost 4) begged me for Bendaroos. The Wikki stixs do everything that they state but found after one use they need to be thrown away. The problem is that the sticky substance picks up everything - dog hair, lint, etc...(yes, I clean my house on a regular basis). Not only that, my kids became very bored with them after a short time. If you decided to purchase them, but be a good idea to get an instruction book to go with them.

not worth the money . There is really not too much to say about this. A VERY EXPENSIVE craft item.
There are several bendable sticks with colorful material on it and yes you can create different shapes,but out of this box you don't gain a dinosaur or anything big.
You would have to buy more of them.
I see restaurants use them for entertainment while kids wait for their meal and that is about all it is worth.
VERY much overpriced.
Would you pay $10 or more for a row of 4 playdough buckets?
That is pretty much what it comes down to.
The box is very flat, small and holds a few of these sticks.
Are they fun? Sure.
Do kids like playing with them? Sure.
Was I excited to purchase them for my kids? Sure. But when the box arrived, I felt let down and very disappointed because I was holding this thin, flat, small carton with a few stix in it.
So that was not worth $10+ dollars.

Kids love these! . Took these to a party with about 8 kids between the ages 2 and 8 and these were the absolute hit of the party. Kids were using them on paper to make art, or turning them into jewelry such as rings and necklaces. These are simple and clean fun for kids.

Great Craft Projects! . For anyone unfamiliar with wikki stix they are basically yarn dipped in wax. You can bend them, sculpt with them or stick them to different surfaces. They don't leave residue and are easy to use. They can be reused again and again. Great for letting kids be creative without causing a mess that parents need to spend tons of time and energy cleaning up. Plus if kids drop these on the floor or clothing you don't need to worry about staining.

Creative fun . I knew what I was getting before I ordered them. I've played with these in the past & thought my son would like them on an upcoming plane ride. They're fun & truly are sticky without leaving residue behind...so it's nice clean fun. I think actually making things out of them (like a dinosaur--as pictured) would be very difficult for any child to do, but maybe that's just my opinion. It only comes with instructions on how to make a stick figure with them (but then again it doesn't say it comes with instructions anyway). I got what I thought I was going to get, so I'm happy. I do think they're a little overpriced AND I do wish they came in better packaging...now I need to get something to put them in or just put them in a baggie.

Neat Idea . I ordered these for my two year old. At first, he thought they were great (5 minutes of greatness), but then he discarded them. I believe that they would probably be better for older children or when they are in a confined space with no other options, aka a car ride. I also had a real problem keeping them clean and lint free. I followed the directions on the packaging, but was never really able to get them acceptably clean.

Cons Review

Simple & fun... . My daughter likes these a lot. The only thing I don't like is that they get all fuzzy & mucky if you're not careful. But a good toy, nonetheless.

Another vote for very expensive craft . A favorite restaurant we frequent has these stix for the children to play with while eating. I found these on Amazon, and ordered them because I knew how fun they were. Well, I was sadly disappointed when I opened the box and found a very small container that I paid over $6 per pack. Not impressed with that at all! I guess I should have really thought about how little 48 stix really is.

It is very unlikely that I will buy these again.
