best pencil . These pencils are worth the money. I use them for everyday use. The lead is a perfect darkness. The grip makes it possible to write longer without hand fatigue. It is also helpful to my 9 year old who is a lefty and has poor handwriting. I prefer pencils to pens and love these pencils in particular.

Dim sum yum! . Well, obviously, these erasers are not edible, but they sure look yummy! My daughter and I collect novelty erasers (something which I've been doing since my childhood and am now sharing with my kindergartner). We own many of the Iwako novelty erasers sets. They are one of the best makers of novelty erasers - the details are amazing compared to the other brands. They may be more expensive but you certainly get what you pay for. We get ours from a neighborhood Japanese grocery store. These erasers are modeled on the Chinese dim sum delicacies - 2 baskets of dim sum, a plate of dumplings, a plate of fried rice, 2 bowls of noodles, and 4 chopstick sets. Like all other Iwako erasers, the pieces can be taken apart and put together again, which keeps my child entertained. They are small enough that they can also be used in creative play, in dollhouses, etc.

You're worth it! . Before I start, I must warn you these crayons WILL spoil you. If these are your child's first crayons, they may find the rest inferior, but that is nothing to worry about. These last a long time and do not break easily. The rectangular Stockmar crayons are especially good for toddlers and are hard to break. We have had these and the rectangular ones for 4 years now, and they are both a delight for the little ones and adults who color with them. We tried these when our toddler was going through boxes of Crayolas that kept breaking, and we've never looked back. However, when he was 3, someone put out a box of crayola's. As he colored, he brushed away tiny bits of crayon residue, and frowned, "Mommy. Something is wrong with these crayons. They don't work right." I was horrified for an instant that our children were so spoiled, but I realized how much money we've saved by not having to replace crayons over the years. We have only had to replace a couple favorite colors one by one. Now we have the Stockmar Crayons, Lyra colored pencils and graphite pencils. Coloring and writing is luxurious for me. I mean for the children.

Lovely colors . I was worried that these crayons would be pale and ineffective, being beeswax. Ha! Their colors are rich and brilliant.

Fantastic 'First' Crayons . This is our first set of Stockmar crayons, and I'm totally sold on them. They're a joy to color with. The colors are incredibly vibrant. The red - one of my favorites - isn't just red like you get in a box of Crayolas, it's this deep, intense, velvet color. The same is true of the other colors to varying degrees, the reds, blues and purple being the best in the tin.

Of course, if you're wanting a subdued color, you aren't going to find it here. Even the browns are unusually rich, and my husband isn't fond of this. He says he'd like nice muted color, and even when he tries to mix them, the colors are still too unusual and too vivid, and not at all what he grew up with.

The kids don't seem to mind this, and neither do I, so it's just a matter of taste, I suppose.

I like that they're made in Germany and I feel safe with my kids handling them on a daily basis, that they're made of beeswax (which just smells nice), that they're really thick, and easy to grasp for little hands just learning to color and draw. The 16-pack seems to contain the perfect range of colors. There are just enough to be versatile, without being an overwhelming amount.

The only drawback is that there is a learning curve when it comes to the colors. The names of all the colors, though easy enough to decipher, are all in German, and the colors of the the crayons themselves don't necessarily correlate to the color that will end up on the paper. The crayons are quite dark, making them all look far too similar, and since my children have removed the labels, I often find myself drawing with the red-brown crayon when I meant to use the true red, for example. I imagine the kids have this problem too, since they cannot read the labels anyway, and all the blues, reds and browns are difficult to differentiate unless you're under really bright light - which we often are not.

They're still, hands down, worth it in my mind. The colors aren't just nice - they're memorable.

so disappointed . So disappointed in these crayons after reading all of the amazing reviews. My 5 year old has used these crayons for 4 weeks and 4 of the 16 have broken. They break when they roll off the table, not from pressure. For 22.77, I expected them to hold up much better.

Wonderful set of crayons . These crayons are way above and beyond the crayolas my daughter has been using. She noticed immediately the brilliance and concentration of the color as well as the way the crayon glide across the paper: more smoothly. It is thicker than the typical crayolas so it is easier for her hands too (My daughter is four). She loved the neat tricks we can do by applying heat to her act work after. She also liked the metal case the crayons came in. She put everyone back carefully after drawing with them. Highly recommended!

Good quality but colors are "off" . I bought these for my daughter because I liked that they were made with beeswax and soy, and are truly non-toxic. The quality of the crayons is excellent - color just pops off the paper. Where I am disappointed is in the accuracy of the colors. I would expect that in the basic set of 16 crayons that they would have true primary and secondary colors, as well as a few other common colors (pink, brown). Instead, the Stockmar colors are a bit "off" from what I consider to be true red, blue, etc. The blue is a bit turquoise-ish, the red a bit pinkish, etc. I actually went out and bought some crayolas, just so we'd have some accurate primary and secondary colors!Overall, I like the crayons, but didn't see any feedback on the color issue, and felt it should be here.

Cons Review

Crayons the Natural Way . There's one reason I shell out the bigger bucks for German-made Stockmar crayons: no petroleum products. Every Crayola crayon is labeled "safe" and "non-toxic," but I'm much more comfortable giving my son crayons made with beeswax than paraffin, which is made from crude oil.

These crayons have a greater transparency than Crayolas, making their colors less intense, more like watercolors. The colors in this set are vibrant, but are more reflective of nature's palette. I love the container, which keeps the crayons from breaking. These crayons are also wider in diameter than Crayolas, but in my experience, they are still prone to breaking if too much pressure is applied while drawing. Highly recommended.

Exactly what I needed! . I do stop-motion as a hobby and I can't tell you how long I've been looking for the right kind of clay. This stuff was exactly what I was looking for. It's much more dense than Play-dough and won't dry even if you leave it out unsealed overnight. Although I do wish it came in a slightly higher quantity, I didn't have any trouble working with what I got and if I need more I can just buy another pack :)

They last just as long as Crayola brand . I have had people tell me not to buy the Roseart brand because it is very inferior to Crayola. I did not have this experience. I bought a bunch of these for my son to use (he also has crayola markers) and they last every bit as long as Crayola does (provided he remembers to put the cap back on after using them. The colors are pretty much the same too.

Crayola markers are great, but they are so much more expensive. I feel the quality of the RoseArt and the Crayola are the same so why would I want to pay more? It is after all - just a marker.

Cons Review

Not totally washable . These markers are not as washable as I hoped they would be. They have left slight marks on my kitchen table after my son colored there. Everything else wipes right off of the table, but not these. I would recommend Crayola!

Their markers are bright, true to color, flow easily, and don't run out quickly. Nice for the price . I have used Sakura, Copic, Faber Castell and Pentel brush pens and I think these stack up very well against all of them. Inexpensive too!
I compared the black pen with my Copic brush pen and the Prismacolor was just as dark with very consistent ink flow.
The Sakura brush pen was the worst of the lot.
The Pentel was very dark, but too wide for detail work and too much ink came out if you hesitated at all in the stroke.I prefer the thinner tips on the Prismacolor brush pens for detail work and Japanese kana.

Really made the grandkids happy . These were sent as a "Just because" gift to my granddaughter who is 9 - she loves them - as do her older sister - the scents are bold enough to tell but my daughter says they do not "stink" - the colors are pretty and washable if necessary - great product at a great price!!!

My girls love these markers! . I bought these for my girls and they have performed pretty well. The markers have nice bold colors with a variety of scents. The only problem I have found with them is if my 4 year old colors and entire picture with one marker (which she is prone to do) the marker gets dried out. But I would think any marker would do that.

Just okay.... . Thought I would give these Rose Art scented markers a try, because the Mr. Sketch ones are a lot more expensive, and my kids can't keep their hands off of my Mr. Sketchs. Well, you get what you pay for in this case. I might have been happy with the Rose Art ones, if I did not already know what the others were like. The Rose Art ones have much less scent, a few of the scents you can't really smell much at all, not enough to figure out what they are. Some of them are very pleasant smelling and robust. I would rate them as "okay".

Fainted scent . The markers work fine for markers, but I was specifically looking for scented markers. My son was thrilled to get these, but very disappointed that they barely smelled when you put it to your nose, and not at all when on paper. He was very disappointed because the scented markers at our children's church are very smelly! Thought these were the same ones, but it is obviously a different brand.

Finally found it! . I have had this exact bulletin/dry erase board for 15 years on the wall of my kitchen. It lasted through the teenage years of a now 30 and 27 year old. The messages left on the dry erase side could fill a memoir or a comics routine. It was time to replace it since the cork side was crumbling. I was not able to locate one at any discount store or major office store. But thank goodness for Amazon. After about a 5 minute search...there it was! Exactly like it was in 1995! The messages are as silly, but still a perfect place to organize my life!

Good cork and whiteboard . Works great, has whiteboard and cork board for doing two tasks. I use mine on the wall next to the fridge for either pinning up doctor cards and use the whiteboard for reminders or just drawing funny cartoons on :) The same brand magnetic markers are great and have built in eraser on the top of the markers (not included) it should how ever come with at least a box of push pins, it did come with one magnet.

Took forever to hang up . If you're going to use this for to-do lists, like me, you'll have to be sure to schedule at least 20 minutes of your day to get the little screws on right so you can hang it on your wall. If you have big clumsy hands, you will need more time.

Is not ready to hang!! . This come with 2 hangers that must be screwed on with 2 tiny screws. Not very convenient. It should come ready to hang.

ok but better product at walmart and target . I do most of my shopping on the internet this is the first time I was disappointed. I found better quality and cheaper prices after ordering this at the stores

Didn't realize this was a toy?!? . So I bought this for personal home/office use. Frame is pretty cheap and the cork is pretty dense. Also the mounting hardware was not installed which isn't much of a hassle but seriously come on. Just install the hardware fro your customers. I'm sure the plastic bag and machine to put the hardware and screws in the bag and seal it cost more than two guys with screw guns. Anyways, I'll let you know if it breaks in an unreasonable amount of time.
P.S. walmart has it cheaper.. which really pissed me off because they never have anything cheaper than amazon with prime shipping.

Perfect for labeling books! . I purchased these stickers to organize the various bins of books that I have in my second grade classroom. There are enough stickers of each color to label a large bin of books without having to switch to a different color or purchase more stickers. These stickers are perfect for what I need!

Useful for organization . I needed some way to mark the edge of items to know what category they fit. These stickers work well on the record sleeves to allow me to sort them one way and know other information about them before I pull them off the shelf. I am using them for 45 rpm records in a museum collection for the Juke Boxes, but they would work for many other items. I plan to order more since they worked so well. In my case it would have been better to get more of the basic colors and fewer of some other colors, but at the price, it does not really matter.

The best pencils ever . I could not be happier. The pencils come in a wonderful range of tones and even metallic. They are beautifully coloured on paper, even with gentle strokes the colour is dense, not patchy like with other brands. They blend really well, and I have not encountered that waxy buildup that appears with others. They sharpen well, they appear to use a much finer timber than other brands, There is not the tedious waste of re-sharpening from split timber and broken leads. They are truly quality pencils.
I have absolutely nothing negative to say about them, they are truly divine.

beyond durable . I've had a set of these crayons for 20 years -- they were used by my children, and now by my grandchildren! Not dry at all, beautiful colors, still good as new.

Durable and safe - perfect for toddlers! . These are extremely durable, lasting crayons that have vibrant colors and are safe even if toddlers knaw on them. I'm delighted to have found this product and see that even know they appear very expensive they cost less overall that "regular" crayons; they will outlast any crayola by years and years, and they are safe in a way that most crayons on the market are not. One set will last for ages (see the other reviewer for more about that).

Beeswax crayons are wonderful!! . These beeswax crayons are wonderful! They are sturdy, and the color is very vibrant. They are great for all ages, but especially 3-5 years.

smaller than expected but nice . thought these blocks for the price would be a little bigger, they are only an inch by inch and a half (approx).. i used a few with my toddler, and they dont look like they will last long eighter... but beeswax is safest for those who still like to eat there toys in that split second... wouldn't buy again when she has more control
