Paint for young minds . Pros:
- Quality paint, vibrant colors, not thin or transparent
- Washable

Cons:
- Need different containers use paint out of.
- If you buy a bunch of colors, storing the bottles of paint starts to take up space

I was looking for inexpensive paint so my kids could go hog wild painting anytime they wanted without breaking the bank. This fit the bill. I bought 10 different colors of Crayola Artista II paint. You get a lot paint for your money with these 16oz jars, but you need to buy something to store the point in that is kid friendly. You're not going to be able to dip you paint brush in these paint containers. If you just squirt some on a palate, then you will end up through a lot of paint away after each painting session. You also lose a lot of paint if you rinse out a single brush between colors. My solution was to buy 10 paint cups and 10 paint brushes one for each color. It works great; my little girls have fun and don't have to worry about running out of paint.

- Chenille Kraft Preschool Paint Brush Assortment

I like the bushes; a lot of brushes with good variety of styles and widths.
I'm not a fan of the paint cups. They work alright, but they don't seal very well so the paint may dry out over time.

paint . Paint was used to put lines on gym floor. They worked great. Kids had fun putting paint down.

When we're done we'll wash it up.

good . Paint was just as detailed. Arrived on time. cleans up easy. i would buy again and the price isn't too bad.

high quality washable good dark colors . Okay the only downside is that this paint smells a little funny. However, it is washable (very washable), dark colored, and high quality in my opinion. Love it. Love the larger size so I don't have to be the product police and limit his use of a certain color. Nice price, etc.

Exactly what I needed! . I do stop-motion as a hobby and I can't tell you how long I've been looking for the right kind of clay. This stuff was exactly what I was looking for. It's much more dense than Play-dough and won't dry even if you leave it out unsealed overnight. Although I do wish it came in a slightly higher quantity, I didn't have any trouble working with what I got and if I need more I can just buy another pack :)

Great Product . This is much better than the kind from Walmart that gets unbelievably hard when it dries out. Easy to use and no mess.

Crayola Model Magic Naturals . Model Magic is good stuff. It is so easy to use and is not as messy as clay. Small pieces dry fairly quickly. I have trouble with very large pieces cracking as they dry. I often use this product in the construction of positioning equipment for very young children with disabilities - it is light weight, can be colorful, and can be molded precisely.

Fun to create cartoon character . This is good for a beginner. It is soft and at the same time doesn't stick to the fingers. Although some package is more damp and does stick a little, it doesn't stick after a little kneading. I love that it can air dry. The texture is spongy and very light. A little too light for me because the figurines I made topple easily. Each piece sticks together easily unless it dries too much. Try to stick them together as soon as possible. If not, might need to use wire. The surface once dried is easy to paint. While it's soft, it is harder to paint because it gets dented easily if using marker.

My only complaint is that this clay is hard to remove the seam and it gets dented easily. Another thing is, it is not good for fine texture. I tried to make duck feather texture but once dried the texture on the surface is almost not visible.

Nice for the price . I have used Sakura, Copic, Faber Castell and Pentel brush pens and I think these stack up very well against all of them. Inexpensive too!
I compared the black pen with my Copic brush pen and the Prismacolor was just as dark with very consistent ink flow.
The Sakura brush pen was the worst of the lot.
The Pentel was very dark, but too wide for detail work and too much ink came out if you hesitated at all in the stroke.I prefer the thinner tips on the Prismacolor brush pens for detail work and Japanese kana.

Great Marker . My husband asked me to buy an oil based paint marker and I didn't have a clue what he meant. Then I found the markers and couldn't believe how much they cost. He said "Get it and you'll see". I bought the marker, gave it to hubby and he started marking everything from the pool pump (where stickers were placed to designate recirc, waste. etc), plastic buckets, cables, hard drives. I later noticed that when I washed items labeled with this marker the writing didn't fade or change at all. Even the dishwasher didn't faze the writing on the plastic buckets. I'm sold, I found the marker in his drawer and use it on everything. The tip is very precise. I can even read my own writing. I still own sharpies but I don't use them anymore. This marker has been worth every penny we paid for it. We have owned it for several months and it doesn't show any sign of drying out or running out of paint.Buy it, you won't regret it.

plant markers . Yeah, I'm not a craft person, and didn't buy these for any craft. But just so you'll know, these are wonderful and inexpensive sticks for the home gardener to use in marking the veggie variety, date planted, etc., then sticking them into the dirt next to the plant. Perfect for stick bombs . We bought these for building stick bombs, which are those little woven structures that act a little like exploding Dominoes when built (see the Wikipedia article on Stick Bombs). Works perfectly for that task. Cheap and functional, exactly what we wanted.

The sticks could be smoother... . Fast shipping, they are as described, my only complaint is that the sticks aren't smooth... and are kind of brittle. I wouldn't recommend these for use with kids, because I can definitely see splinters being a problem... Other than that, I guess they serve their purpose.

good but not what it is claimed to be . These are your basic wood craft sticks. They work well for crafting with kids. However, if you are counting on the box holding 500 - buy another product. My box didn't even have 450 in it. Considering I am using it to make a craft with 120 little kids (and bought it specifically for the fact it held 500 craft sticks), it was a big dissapointment. Now I have to go out and buy some more craft sticks... Needless to say, I didn't save any money buying this product!

Low Quality . Purchased these sticks for craft activities with children but they were so rough and had splinters coming out of almost all of them. Dangerous! Will not be keeping these.

Fun for grown-ups too. . Crayola has long been the provider of my "budget" colored pencils... and while I've tried other brands, I've kept going back to Crayola. Drawing and coloring (yes, they make coloring books for grown-ups now, too) are relaxing activities, perfect for unwinding from an otherwise stressful life, and something that can allow you to connect with the little ones in your life... which is something the little ones desperately need these days! (Real interaction... Imagine that!)

I normally use ordinary Crayola pencils, but I have tried the watercolor pencils, and I have to say... if I could afford it, I'd buy a ton of these. The main difference in my opinion, is that the color seemed a bit richer with these than with ordinary pencils. And of course, you can use water to create watercolor effects. Sadly, I only bought the 8-pack. But the more colors the merrier, right? I buy the other Crayola pencils by the biggest packs I can afford, and always keep every color on hand that I can get my hands on. But I'd keep these in stock too, if I could afford to.

So pick up a pack for the kids... and while you're at it, order one for you, too. (Come on... You know you want to!)

Crayola 24ct Watercolor Colored Pencils Reviews
Great for face painting! . I saw these used for "face painting" at a couple of kids' parties. That's what I got them for. Actual face paint is too messy. These pencils are great. I have a bowl with a wet sponge in it. Then I just dip the tip of a pencil on the sponge and then just draw on my kids' skin. They're non-toxic, so it's ok. They don't leave stains after it's washed off the skin. We have yet to use them for watercoloring. Haha!

Just alright . Not a big fan, the color quality is better than the regular Crayola color pencils but sharpening is always a problem and the watercolor quality not great. I wouldn't buy them for watercolor use but for straight coloring prefer these to the regular variety.

great leds poor quality wood . The colors are nice and watercolor effect is nice. My only concern is the wood does not seem very good so they are hard to sharpen.

Best way for a youngster to do watercolor pictures . These watercolor pencils are so convenient and NEAT. They can be used anywhere to do the drawing and when you are in a place where can be added - the pictures can become real watercolors. No mess - no water spills in inconvenient places - no holes in the paper!! Supervision is only needed at the stage where water is introduced to the drawing. The child quickly learns that light use of pencil produces a light er shade and heavier use of pencil will produce a darker shade. A second color can be layered over the first one drawn - and then blended by the wet brush with great results.

I have since bought additional pencils and am very happy with the results.

Good price. Kids love it. . Yes, it's not heavyweight paper, but that doesn't matter to us. I was surprised by how light it was, but no matter. The kids don't care and it has supplied us with hours of fun.

Lots of Colors but thin paper . This pack has a great color selection but the construction paper is really thin, so if you are looking for heavy construction paper this is not it, if you are looking for thin paper-like construction paper this will work great for you!

Not your standard construction paper . This is not much heavier than printer paper - I haven't tried yet, but suspect it would run though the printer with no problems. It is alright for crafts that do not require a heavier weight paper. We cut it into 1/2" strips to make a paper chain for our Christmas tree.

Awesome Value!!! Great 'daily use' Construction Paper. . While this is not, as other reviewers have mentioned, the 'thick' heavy-weight construction paper, it's thicker than printer paper, and a fun colorful paper for kids. My children go through A LOT of paper, they are drawing and 'project' fiends, so this is a perfect value for us, and as it's less dense, it's better for the environment and the recycling box. I did purchase the 300-sheet pack of heavy weight for specific 'projects', and I think both packages offer value in different regards. It's a HUGE stack, about the size of 2 or 2.5 reems of Printer paper. Vibrant colors, good texture and TONS of paper, can't be beat.

It's paper. . I have to admit I've never touched the stuff, but my 4 year old's been using it for over a month now and never once complained about the weight. :)

Metallic Pens . These pens work great. There is never a void in writing (unless the pen runs out of ink). Very smooth writing, great for scrapbooking and journaling.

Formulated to wash from skin but not clothing or porous surfaces . 'Washable' is a misleading adjective for this product, because it states on the back of the box that it is "formulated to wash from skin, but not from clothing or porous surfaces. Staining is possible on synthetic fabrics."

I tested the Prang metallic pens against another brand, and they are:

- less expensive
- sold in packs of six colors, as opposed to five for the more expensive brand
- produce a broader, more uniform line
- dry more quickly on glossy surfaces such as photographic paper

Both brands are advertised as archival, and both can be used on dark or light paper, but I would definitely recommend the Prang Metallic markers.

Excellent choice . These are excellent paints that are easy to use and are an extremely good resource for young children, who naturally notice different skin colors and want to explore them.
