PERFECT for travel . This kept my 34 month old daughter occupied during a recent long plane trip. I was able to pull out the Wikki Stix again and again when she got bored or restless. It's nice and compact, not messy, and quiet. These will be a go to toy for us again. I highly recommend it.

Fun for my 5yo and 2yo . My son has been asking me for bendaroos for the longest time so i got him these since they are pretty much the same thing. i believe the only difference is that the wikkistix have an adhensive quality that lets them stick to glossy books or other shiney surfaces. the book included is very amusing and give kids creative ways to use the wikkistix. for example there is a page with under water scenery with seaweed and such and you use the wikkistix as if they are seaweed and create other under water critters or scenery. my son wraps them around his pencils, toys, and uses them in other books. overall he has a lot of fun with them and it allows him to express some creativity. the other day he made me "heart balloons" with them. my 2yo mimics what he does and they can play together easily without fighting over them since there are many.

Wikki Stix . I got this for my best friends little girl when she turned 4 years old in February. She absolutely loves these Wikki Stixs and spends hours creating interesting things with them.

Made in the USA! . Wikki stix are an excellent, quiet time activity that is highly entertaining. The books are sturdy and well constructed. No need to worry about toxicity from Chinese manufacturing with this. Nice job!

Wikki Stix . This came in so handy on my recent flight. Entertained my 2 year old for a good 1/2 hour.

Great fun for a vacation and plane ride . This is not a long-term toy that your toddler is going to want to keep going back to play with (at least it wasn't for mine). It kept her busy on an international plane ride and a 2 week vacation --- along with other toys of course. She was only 2.5 at the time and really couldn't use the wikki stix like the book's pictures, but she still had fun sticking them in different positions throughout the book. If your child is older, they might appreciate the book more. Otherwise, for toddlers, you can get the wiki stix at dollar stores for cheaper and just use any old hard page book (so no page ripping) --- it could be just as fun. I liked this purchase because the price was reasonable and it is a really cute hard page book that came with colored wikki stix.

Wonderful WIkkis - A great quite toy . My 3 yr old twins love Wikki sticks. I usually break them out when we are restaurants, or any place we need a quite contained toy. They are great for airplanes to - they even stick on the windows and they don't leave any residue behind. They easily entertain my kids for at least a half an hour.

Quickly Used Up . The description gives the impression that the wikki stix can be used over and over again. We probably played with them twice before the were over. The problem is that they stick to other things, not leaving a residue but picking up fine hairs and fibers that eventually they no longer stick the pages. And when you do remove them from the original packaging it is a pain to put them back.

Many reasons to love this . First, Amazon really rose to the occasion when this gift was somehow lost in the mail. Without having to blame the USPS (whose fault we all suspected it was), they just said..."we'll ship another". And, my niece got it before Xmas! Cheers to you Amazon for excellent client service, I will definately remember that next time I need to shop online. Moreover...apparently the toy is really cool and my niece loves to play with it (she's 5). Good experience all around. Cheers!

Wikki Stix are great but this package is only a pretty good value. . My wife heard a recommendation for Wikki Stix, and this seemed like a pretty good package to start out with. There were about twelve colors total - ten different colors in the main set of 72, and some of the favor bags included other colors that were not in the main set. The included games were pretty nice, but not really necessary. You get a spinner that has several categories, like "types of food" or "something in a house", and the players are then supposed to make something that fits into that category. A set of white cards are included to stick the creations on. Also included is a very large picture of a clown for a "Stick the Nose on the Clown" game. The instructions suggest having each player write their name in the spot they stuck the nose, and then you are left with a picture with everyone's name on it as a keepsake. I think that's a nice idea. So overall the extra game pieces are pretty good, but it would be easy to play the same games without the same pieces.

If I was ordering again, I would probably pick a larger set like BIG COUNT BOX by Wikki Stix, which is a much better per-piece value, but I'm still happy with my purchase of the Party Kit.

Fun times two! . We are already fans of Wikki Stix in our home, so I wanted something I could include in a few activity bags our church has out to occupy small children during services. The party favor bags in this set are perfect for that. For 7.99, I got eight favor sized bags with ten stix and an activity sheet to include in the bags plus the 100 stix and large clown activity for my own children to play with. We also took these on a road trip, and they occupied the girls for a couple of hours!

Great package for restaurants . I went to a restaurant a few weeks back and they gave my children a small pack of half-sized Wikki Stix instead of the obligate crayons that end up broken, eaten, or under the table. One very wonderful hour later, I realized the hubby and myself had actually managed to have a conversation because the kids were still engaged. We literally wore those little stix out.

This school fun kit comes in a handy clear zippered pouch that can easily slide behind one of the kids at a restaurant. The stix are separated in manageable groups (about the size of a small sandwich bag) on what looks like wax paper. There are large cut-outs of purple fish and yellow butterflies. I was a little disappointed thinking there would be more variety, but this appears to be packaged for a daycare or school setting. There is a very nice idea book, with places inside the kids can decorate with their stix - e.g. Easter eggs, license plate.

These have been stuck to the windows of my car and various walls leaving behind no problematic residue. The color does not appear to transfer. I have not left them in the car to find out if they would melt - I guess they would (wax). In any event - they get thumbs up from my 4 year old and my 10 year old - and mom and dad too - who could really use some quality chat time.

Update: After forgetting a pack of soda in my car and subsequently having to strip the car down to clean, I discovered a few of these in my daughter's seat. So, no, apparently they hold up fine (much better than cans of soda) in hot cars. Good to know.

Mom of a crafty guy. . My just-turned-five year old loves to draw and make things. He saw Bendaroos on television and was begging for them for his birthday. I purchased Wikki Stix based on reviews on Amazon and because of Amazon's super saver shipping. He was thrilled and his bedroom wall is covered with a garden (yes, flowers everywhere) of Wikki Stix as well as his name, a basketball hoop and a soccer goal.

A very versatile toy . We purchased this product because it was so similar to Bendaroos, which is something our children had wanted. They were unaware that this was a different brand mainly because they've had so much fun with the Wikki Stix, still calling them Bendaroos of course.

I think the primary reason the kids like them so much is that the toy's purpose is open to creative interpretation. We have Wikki Stix on doors, on paper, on the wall, on lamp shades, etc., and the only limit to what they can be is a child's imagination. Overall a really solid and fairly inexpensive toy.

Where Have These Been All My Life??? . My kids and I love these. So easy to use! No fuss, no mess...no cleanup! We've already had to reorder. Their friends now want them. You can't go wrong with these.

Good for creative play . I like these. I read a lot of reviews before buying them. I wanted the bendaroos but Wiki Stix actually had parent awards and Bendaroos had bad reviews but none for Wiki Stix. Some reviewer said they bought both and they are exactly the same. So, I'm not sure why the difference in reviews. Most of them I read had to do with purchasing and not with the product itself. Anyway, they are good. They feel a little sticky but nothing stays on your hands. My son is 3 and if I play with him we will play with them for a while but his level of creativity is not like an older child. I imagine the older you get, the longer these might hold the attention span. He has had fun with these and his friend. So I guess like anything else, playing with someone else is more fun. They are a no mess toy. It looks like just a little bit as you open the package, but it's quite a lot. If you like to try to find non frilly toys that can be used in a hundred ways, its uses wont burn out, you can use it for education, battery-less, then add these to your collection. God bless =)

Fun for a group . We used this for an activity at my daughter's 7th birthday party. There are cut-outs of butterflies and fish, and we gave each child a cut-out and 10 wikki stix. It kept them busy a long time. As one child left, she said, "That was the most fun birthday party ever!"

This is the kind of activity you pull out occasionally and play with a long time, not a use-every-day kind of toy. It comes with a booklet of ideas, but my kids (13, 7, 5) weren't too impressed with the suggestions. We've used both Wikki Stix and Bendaroos, and neither are quite as cool as the Bendaroo commercials make them look, but they are fun. Wikki Stix have a smaller diameter than Bendaroos, which is the only real difference we noticed.

My one suggestion is that you are careful about cutting the stix for crafts. The stix are reusable, but once cut are pretty much garbage can fodder.

Wikki Stix After School Fun Kit . This was purchased as a gift for my daughter. She's very happy with it. It's a decent set of waxed string in both primary and bright colors, and it comes with some accessories plus a nice case to keep it all in. This is really a nice, creative craft that kiddos or adults can do anytime (home, car, waiting in a restaurant, babysitters house, etc) without creating a mess. I'm pleased with this purchase.

MORE PRODUCT LESS PACKAGING . Entertaining for children six and under. I made the mistake of purchasing the After School Fun Kit thinking it would nice for each child to have their own bag. The kit comes with a couple of templates, but who wants to use the same templates over and over? If I had it to do over I would purchase the big box to get more product and let the children us their own imagination.

Excellent mess-free fun . My kids (9 and 5) love their Wikki Stix. It's very easy for both of them to make things with them, and they don't leave a mess behind. I especially love the storage pouch, which keeps everything corralled when they're done! I'd highly recommend these if your kids are into arts & crafts.

Great for travel . I purchased this for a road trip and was so pleased that despite its simplicity (waxed yarn, who knew??), it kept the kids (2 and 5 at the time) entertained for a good amount of time. I wish I had purchased the kind that come in a tube because dirt and fuzz are kryptonite to wiki stix. Be sure to put the stix away in a closed container or their lifespan will be significantly diminished. One small annoyance is that wiki stix do leave a little bit of a residue on your hands after playing with them.

pricey for what you get but it is a great airplane toy . I am always on a hunt for the holy trinity of airplane toys: quiet, lightweight, keeps the kid occupied for a good long while. Wikki Stix (which are wax-covered string) are it! My preschooler enjoyed playing with them on the airplane, and when we reached our destination, her older cousins loved playing with them too. They can be re-used many times.

This set comes with a bunch of the Stix and also cardboard cards where you can practice making basic shapes and combining basic shapes. My daughter was not interested in the cards and neither were her older cousins. So next time I think I would get a big set with more Stix and no cards.

great for classroom parties . Bought these for an activity for 3rd graders to use at a classroom party. No mess, kids all liked them, and the activity kept them busy just as long as the party planners wanted them to be. It only takes a couple of minutes to use the alloted wikki stix to do the dot-to-dot sheet but then kids were trading sheets and trying other dot-to-dots and the party parents made suggestions like making a 3-D person (directions on back of dot-to-dot. Kids got to take home their wikki stix; better than a piece of junk craft that has wet glue and just gets tossed out. The teachers were happy there was no mess. The parents of kids with allergies were happy that we could verify that the product was peanut product-free and latex free.

Note that there are assorted dot-to-dots in each bundle. The colors of wikki stix in each pack differ according to what the picture is. So if you have a cat it will be mostly black wikkis. If you have a pumpkin it'll be mostly orange. This was not a big deal for our group. Kids shared if they wanted to try a different color scheme.

Wikki Stixs . Kindergarten class loved making shapes, letters, and pictures. Excellent alternative to giving candy at Halloween.

Wikki Stix Books GREAT for plane travel . This was great to distract/occupy my 3-year old twins on a 1.5 hour plane ride. They spent at least 30 minutes playing with this book and another I purchased. Thirty minutes for a three-year old is AMAZING. I could not have asked for more. FYI, I like the wiggles and squiggles Wikki Stix book a little better than this one for my just-turned 3-year olds. The Curious George one is better for older 3-year olds, I think, although both were GREAT.

Fun enough . I bought this on sale for a Christmas Eve activity and my kids enjoyed it. I wish the pages weren't printed back-to-back so you could keep the sticks on one activity without having to take them off 2 seconds later so you could work on the other page. And the packet doesn't come with very many sticks. Now, having said that, it includes paper ornaments you can cut out and decorate and those were a hit!

Like all Wikki Stix these are great for creative non-messy play! . Like all Wikki Stix, these appeal to a wide age range and encourage very creative play. Adults love them too, and educators often sing their praises. While I have not used this super-long size, I have used the regular 6-inch ones often. At family reunions, they can be used by all from little ones to teens to make fun sculptures or to trace 2-dimensional shapes on paper. They are great to take in the car. Clean up is easy. I am sorry that one poster had trouble with her cat getting into them, but that does not take away from the many virtues of this toy!

Very versatile and supports creativity . I use these with my son and in my classroom. They are great for making letters, words, and underlining or circling words in a book. They stick well to big books without leaving marks when they are removed. For the poster with a cat I would recommend them only being used on a table top and kept in a plastic container when not in use so their not around the cat hair. The same would apply to other craft products like clays or Play-Doh.

Creative toy for hours of fun! . The only thing cooler than Wikki Stix... are SUPER Wikki Stix!
This package includes dozens of colorful wax-covered "sticks", each measuring three feet long! By comparison, the "regular" Wikki Stix measure about a foot long each.

The sticks (actually stiff, wax-covered strings) are easy to bend and mold, and will stick to one another. Children ages 2 1/2 to 5 will play with them enthusiastically, but are somewhat limited in their ability to visualize and construct in a 3-dimensional manner.

Slightly older kids (kindergarten and beyond) will use them to sculpt animals and characters, create jewelry, and more. Preteens and teens are magnetically drawn to them, as well, despite their best efforts to act indifferent. These would even be fun to liven up adult workshops and meetings. I've used them in many different settings, and have never met anyone who did not enjoy playing with Wikki Stix.

Wikki Stix are quiet, pleasant smelling and practically mess-free, though they can leave slight waxy smudges on tabletops and other hard surfaces. The sticks can be resused over and over again, as long as they are treated fairly gently. They do not dry out, but can pick up lint and dust if dropped on the floor.

These come packed in a sturdy, capped tube that makes an attractive gift and can be used to store the product.

Cool toy for kids . My boys - 5 and 9 - both loved playing with their wikki stix. I found them to be a bit icky - that's only because they are sticky and the boys leave them in places where lint and any other little particles stick to them. No fault of the toy!

Great for all ages.

Not good if you have pets! . Did not like because it is sticky and my cats hair was all over in it. Needless to say, we threw it all away within a week.

I love Wikki Stix . My children, all 6 of them, have enjoyed wikki stix for years. They are a great QUIET activity perfect for car trips, doctors waiting rooms, etc. They don't take up a lot of space, so are nice to pack for a trip especially. The only downside is that they do leave a residue which is hard to remove from glass and other surfaces. This set comes with a play board so as long as they stay there, the problem is solved.

a Great Restaurant giveaway . We first received our wikkiSticks at a restaurant and subsequently bought the 2 sets. One was a gift and the other entertains my grandchildren for hours. I carry some in my purse for our trips to dine out,etc. and they can be used to trace simple dot to dot book pages as well as the pages included in the packet.

Great toy for keeping kids busy!! . We brought wikki stix on vacation with us for our 3 1/2 year old son and this was all he needed on the airplane and at dinner to keep himself busy.

Good reusable fun . My 8-yr-old daughter wanted Bendaroos for Christmas, but I have a bias against "as seen on TV" purchases. So, we got the American-made Wikkis, and she's been very pleased. I will say that the toy is not as reusable as touted - anything dipped in waxed is going to pick up lint and pet fur if it touches the ground. On the other hand, she's had a lot of fun with the toy. I would recommend this as a good item to encourage creativity and keep kids busy on the run.

A great toy for needed quiet time . I bought this for my 3 year old daughter and 6 year old son specifically for going out to dinner. It works great for us for that purpose; they only play with it when out to dinner and using this way helps keep it interesting. If it were available to them all the time I am not sure it would remain as interesting. I really like this kit for our purpose because the tray that comes with it does keep any residue, which there is just a bit of, off any linens. For the first time in a long time my daughter was occupied for the entire hour we were at the restaurant (as was my son but he is less difficult). I will say i had hoped there would have been more sticks included in the kit but that was/is easily remedied by a reorder of sticks. Great product!

Twisty fun over and over again! . My kids love Wikki Stix and play with them all the time. They don't dry out like Play-Doh and can be used over and over. The wax does start to peel off if you are very rough with them, but that hasn't really been an issue for us. You can twist and turn and bend and shape and have lot of fun, then put it away and do it all over again another day!

A lot of fun . Wanted to wait a couple months before I reviewed these to see how they stood up. They are a great quiet toy for my four year old. They have stood up to being rolled into tiny balls, twisted together and being left all over the house. As said in their description they never dry out or break. I'm very happy with these, hours of fun for her at a low price.

Wikki Stix . I got these for my daughter, who is 10. She loves sticking them to her wall, making words and designs. They do not leave any marks on the surfaces they are attached to. I think they were a good buy.

I guess you were looking for Bendaroos but these are better . This set is MUCH better value than Bendaroos (we have both) and comes with a board plus a resealable large storage plastic bag. Wikki Stix are virtually 98% identical to Bendaroos. The wax layer is slightly thicker on these sticks (still we are talking fractions of millimetres here) but they are just as flexible, colourful and fun. I wish I'd never bought the vastly overpriced Bendaroos now which for comparison came in a tiny brown cardboard box (no effort on packaging whatsoever) and were shorter.
My three children aged 4-9 have all enjoyed playing with these, they leave no mess, stains or residue and have been stuck to doors, walls and picures with no problems. My 7 year old likes making bridges and tracks for his toy cars with his. My 9 year old is making lots of plaited jewellery and my 4 year old makes 'pictures' and sticks them to everything in sight. You need to hold them for a few seconds to stick them together, the warmth from your fingers slightly softens the wax so they join. My 4 year old hasn't quite got the hang of this but he's still happy freestyling and making his own wierd and wonderful creations.
Great activity toy which has kept my children occupied for hours and as an adult I've enjoyed playing with them too.
They don't crumble or dry out and there are no sharp parts.

Best Attention Grabber . We had our 4 grand kids at a restaurant (11 of us altogether), which typically would have meant chaos, bedlam, and constant interruptions for attention. Then the owner brought out Wikki Stix for each. What followed was deep concentration and quiet activity in the kids that lasted all through the meal, indeed all weekend! Eating was almost an annoying interlude for them! Their creativity and concentration was amazing. The rest of us were so impressed! We actually got to talk and visit! Where have these been all these years? I'm buying some for gifts and toys. I can't recommend them highly enough! Much more educational and engaging than connect the dots or crayons.

Great educational tool . From a teacher's perspective, this product is great for use in the classroom or reinforcement at home. Children can find letters or sightwords in books, and circle them with the wikki stix (without harming the books). travel fun . bought this product to keep my 8 yr.old daughter busy while on a vacation road trip.she had a ball making flowers,glasses and other items with the sticks.

my 5 year old LOVES it! . My daughter got a pack of 8 in a kids meal. I had never heard of these, but she LOVES them. She makes eyeglasses, mermaids, her name, little people, and that's just with 8 of them. Not messy, no annoying sounds, and lots of fun to use. Sometimes simple toys are the best.

My kids love them! . We visited my parents in Santa Fe this summer, and were given some wikki stix at a restaurant. When it was time to board the first of two long flights to get home, the kids wanted to play with the wikki stix instead of the load of bulky toys we brought with us. I was amazed! Wikki Stix Learning . Wikki Stix can be just for fun. However, you can also use it to practice letter format and even make a "stencil" for practicing letter formation with a writing utensil.

great resource fun tool . This item is a fabulous resource. Being a teacher of special education, wikkistix are an easy item to utilise. In the past, I've used them with blind children when creating tactile maps, as a sensitising precursor to following a line of braille dots. They are a great multisensory activity builder, especially if children are tactile defensive. With the students I am teaching at the moment, we are forming letters and tracing them; we use them to bundle sticks. I use the wikkistix as a type of assessment tool, e.g asking the students to make the letter they hear at the beginning of a spoken word. It's non-threatening and novel. They can be pulled out as an instant resource - no preparation needed.I'm sure they could be utilised in many more ways too.

Great Arts and Crafts Kit! . For anyone not familiar with Wikki Stix they're yarn covered in special wax that can be molded, stuck together, and stuck on surfaces. Awesome . The best craft toy my daughter has ever played with. If I give my daughter a few of these, she will play quietly by herself for hours at a time. She is almost 4 and loves shaping the stix into letters, numbers, animal shapes. She makes necklaces and rings. The best part is that there is no mess, and when she's done, she can straighten them out and use them all over again.
