Good accessory . This was one of the accessories I got for my 4 year old neice's aquadoodle, they were the least played with due to the stamper pad had to be really full of water or they had to press down hard for the whole stamp image to appear. Fun toy but the brush and pen accessory were used far more.

therapistmom . I initially bought this as a toy for work. Playdough is a great fine motor activity and can be used in a variety of ways during therapy sessions for kids of all ages. Of course, it found it's way into my 2 year olds hands and she loves it! Rolling out the dough and pressing out shapes..she could do this for hours. The plunger is a little difficult to use for little hands, and it may cause frustration if there is not and adult there to help. The little scissors are also a big hit and a great way to teach scissor skills. The bucket also keeps everything together. And if the playdough only gets put in the bucket and not their little containers..it still stays fresh.

Hours of fun . I'm the grandmother, who loves to play with the kids. I bought this for my 3 year old grandson several years ago. Now his 3 year old sister is still playing and enjoying all the accessory pieces. I also purchased a small playdoh table. It's always in the "playroom" in the basement. Playdoh is a great way for kids to express themselves and use their immagination.

great all in one storage for play doh . we got this when my son was 2. Not sure what else I can say about play doh - it's fun and colorful and really holds my son's attention. He loves to squish it and cut it and roll it into little balls and will play with it for hours if I let him.

What I like so much about this particular set is that everything stores so nicely in the bucket. The bucket cover has a nice "tuperware-like" seal which my son can't open by himself (which I like because I don't really want him taking this out without me). There are all kinds of cookie cutters in all different shapes and all of this, plus several tubs of play doh pack away nicely when you're done.

I would recommend play-doh as a great toy for toddler aged kids on up, and would recommend this set especially because it cleans up/stores away so well.

rainy day fun . The bucket of playdoh is great because it comes with all the doodads that are fun with playdoh. The best thing is that you can take it any where.

Very cute but not necessarily durable... . I purchased this doodle pro for my daughter for Christmas because she loves her mini one. She loved this one as well and has carried it around everywhere with her.

However, let me mention some of the pros and cons of the product since you are not reading this to find out if my child loved it or not.

Pros:

This is super cute, and it comes with stencils to increase the fun of using it.

The stencils are easily traceable even by my child (who happens to be in occupational therapy for fine-motor skills). I know some other reviewers mentioned that the tracing is not very dark, but I had no problem with it, and neither did my daughter.

There is a slot in the upper right hand corner to store the pen, so it does not hang out all of the time, and the handle makes the product easy to carry places.

Cons:

After using the product a few times, I noticed that it is not erasing as well or as thoroughly, so I'm ordering a replacement. Hopefully mine is a dud, and I'll update this review to that effect when I receive it.

The stencils can't be stored in the product, so they are easily lost. My daughter has been looking for the "pink one" for days now.

At any rate, at the price I purchased this, I am very happy, and my daughter loves it, so while I knocked off a star for the stencils storage and the erasing issue, I'm very pleased with it and would probably buy it again.

Awesome!! . My nephews are toy story freaks! They love this gift. The Magna Doodle itself but having the toystory stencils made the gift for them!

Tough Doodle Pro . This is a great doodle pro made by fisher price. I absolutely love that it has stencils with different Toy Story 3 characters which makes the doodle pro even funner! The characters look very much like the stencils when traced on the doodle pro. The only con i'd say about the product, is that it doesn't have a compartment to hold the stencils in. other than that, it is an excellent durable and fun doodle pro.

Great doodle pad for toddlers . This is a tough magnetic doodle pad. My 2 year old loves to scribble on it and its great not having to worry about him coloring on the sofa or walls. It has a place to store the pen but no place to store the stencils. Its a great size not too big or small. The Toy Story designs are really cute. The stencils are very detailed but should have a way of staying put when using them. Its ok for an adult to use but I would imagine small kids would have trouble using them. Overall a great value for $12.50 (got it as a lightning deal) I haven't seen a quality doodler for any cheaper than $15 but are generally almost $20.

Cons Review

Doodle Pro No . We have owned several Doodle Pros over the years, and I was excited to get this one for my 2 year old since she loves Toy Story. Well, the slides that you trace that come with it are not easy even for my 6 year old. They get lost since there is no where to store them and the pen doesn't have a way to not flop all around. At least it's attached so it doesn't get lost! The doodle pad part of the toy stays dark even though we slide the slider to clear it, but it doesn't all go away as others have done in the past. I wouldn't buy this or recommend it again. Although, the other Doodle Pro products that we've purchased in the past have always been great!

Very fun! . My son loved this and enjoyed being able to draw Buzz and Woody. Durable and easy to use, great for in the car.

Doodling fun . This toy is large and was fun for my young grandson on a long car ride but he doesn't play it a lot at home. The stencils do not adhere to the surface so it is hard for him to hold the board, the stencil, and the stylus to do the tracing so he usually just scribbles and erases. I was also a little disappointed that a magna doodle at this price did not include any of the shape magnets that you can press on the surface to make things. We have several in our church nursery that were cheaper than this and they included the magnets which is one of the children's favorite parts of playing with them. I thought they all came with it so I didn't check when I ordered this one.

Keep kids entertained . This was purchased as a birthday gift for a 6 year old boy. His mom informed me that not only did he use it, but so did his 9 year old brother. She said it kept them busy and gave her some much needed peace. When they were done she threw it into the washer and it came out clean and ready to go.

Cons Review

Not all that. . I bought the activity table cloth for my kids after seeing it in a magazine. It looked like fun and I suppose on some level it is, but it's mostly a pain.
It's not like a table cloth; it's more like a diaper changing pad. It's thick and squishy which makes coloring on it pretty awkward.
The good part is: if you use washable markers (for quality I would recommend Crayola Washable Markers - not the markers it comes with) then it does wash clean and can be used again.
We pull this out sometimes on rainy days, but if we didn't have it, we could find plenty of other things to do.
It's just not all that.

A good purchase . Santa bought this for my 5 yr old daughter. I waited to review it as I wanted to see how clean it came when it was washed. It did come perfectly clean--even using washable markers that did not come with it. I would say it is appropriate for 4-7 yr olds. Children older than that would not be challenged by the word finds or dot to dots as they are not that hard. Overall a good toy. My daughter likes it.

Absolutely great for small kids . Amazing gift for boys or girls. I gave it to my 3 year old nephew, and both his 4 year old sister and 18 month cousins love it. It's huge (can easily accomodate 4 kids playing in it) and to wash. I would very highly recommend it!

Great fun!! . I bought this tablecloth for my daughter's baptism because there was at least 12 toddlers that needed to be entertained.. I bought them each a pack of Crayola washable markers (a customer review stated that the markers included don't wash that good). The kids actually filled both sides and they loved it. Long story short my mother-in-law was here from Spain for the baptism and she was impressed with the tablecloth and the fact that it's washable. She immediately thought of taking one home with her for my niece and nephew there. I just gave her mine instead of ordering another one. She's been back for a week and they had used it twice and she washed it twice. She said it looked like new each time but she let it air dry. The kids love it.

Needs to be more durable . These stamps looked great on the website, unfortunately when my first graders put any type of force on the stamps when pushing into the stamp pad, the red stamp holders are hollow and they crack. My students have used them for 3 weeks, 4 to 6 letters of each set is cracked. Home use is probably ok, but not for classroom use.

Lots of fun! . Adorable Backyardigan play-doh toy! The pirate theme is absolutely adorable. The pieces are very durable - although some are smaller then I'd like! They clean up really easily! I thought play doh might get stuck in the canon (its where you push the playdoh out through it and it makes it into shapes/spaghetti-ish). But I was surprised! The cardboard backing is a bit of a pain so we don't usually attach it. Some of the pieces don't do much. The set only comes with a couple small containers of play doh so for ultimate enjoyment you'll need more playdoh! But its cute and durable...and we got it for a great price!

The peices are easy to lose because some of them are small. Also the cardboard background went in the trash the first day. However, they do play with it all the time. I have 3 boys and they have yet to break any of their playdough toys so I'd have to say it's pretty durable!!!

Waste of money for younger children . We have two boys, one 2 1/2 and the other 3 1/2. When I saw 36 months as the lower recommended age, I figured this must be somewhat durable. We immediately had to get rid of the cardboard background because it wouldn't stay in place. Also know that the base (looks like sand) and the ship do not lock together. The ship has notches and simply sits on the pegs of the base but they are in no way secure to each other. So when they try to put the pieces back on the boat (cutting wheel, plank), the set falls apart. The little Pablo figure that comes with it has been the biggest hit of this playset. I wouldn't recommend it for younger children.

I love these markers! . I have been using these shimmer markers at home for when I babysit my nieces.. they go wild for these markers! So happy to find this product . My kids have been using the do a dot shimmer markers in pre-school for years. I have been looking for these at every office supply, craft and retail store (i.e. Target) and no one has them. I love the shimmer paint and they aren't as messy as using paint and a paint brush. The metallic shimmer looks cool and is something different for the kids.

not very shimmery . I was very disappointed in the product as I do like the dot painters. There is really very little shimmer. The silver is just grey and the gold is just yellow.

Great set . I am not sure what all the hubbub is on here about Do-A-Dot markers being super-staining. While we have not actually dumped the ink out of these things to ensure they won't stain my carpet, my daughter is definitely not "careful" with them and we've never had a problem. They certainly come off a kitchen counter, a wood floor, an IKEA desk, windowsills, and a coffee table. They also come off her skin just fine. And so far I have not encountered stains on her clothing which tells me laundry detergent is at least getting it off her sleeves/cuffs. Not that I would recommend doing these on carpet, or giving them to a hyperactive child, but they are SO much fun, it's hard to not recommend them. My four year old, six year old, and even my seven year old enjoy them. They are very different from regular markers or paints--a great experience of their own. And I give this set in particular five stars because the regular Rainbow set is missing pink and purple, which most little girls really want. I'm not sure they "shimmer" in any true sense--they don't have glitter or sparkles in them--but the silver and yellow-gold colors are nice to have. Just FYI, the purple, yellow, and blue are NOT repeats from the Rainbow pack. They are different shades, so I appreciated that.

We love these . These are great. We have three sets (all but the fluorescent ones) and use them often, they always work and aren't showing any signs of running out soon. We usually use them on newsprint with a second sheet below, and that's sufficient that they don't bleed through to the table. The ink dries in minutes, even if an area is saturated. We've left them open for ~30 min, they're still fine. Some of the other reviews mentioned staining, but I've had no trouble - ink may leave a little colored residue on the skin after gentle washing, but just for a day and it's no worse than any other marker or paint that we've used.They really are glittery, too. The ink goes down without much shimmer, but the glitter is more evident as it dries. You can layer different colors while the page is till wet, they don't get muddy. Good toys.Update a year later - they're still going strong! We love 'em.

love the dots - sad about the shimmer . We love the dots, we color with them quite a bit. No problem with staining. In fact the puppy got a tube and made a big mess and it didn't stain. But there isn't much shimmer, glitter, or sparkle. Disappointing about that part. Just get the regular colors.

FUN CRAFTS TOOL . As his "brother", the Melissa & Doug Border Punch comes in a cute carrying case for you to store all the pieces. Border Punch is much cheaper though. I would like it to be a bit more sturdy-made but it is alright.

Please, mind to test it on some old papers before using it on real crafts as the first uses of mine left oil stains on paper.

Good selection of borders, although some of the shapes have to be pressed out of paper and the Punch sometimes gets stuck on regular paper sheets when you try to remove it after making the shapes.

Love em! . I absolutely love these punches. I've used other punches that you just have to punch with your fingers and this one so much better with the tool that helps you punch the thing.

great for making stationery & scrapbooking . My sister uses this for scrapbooking. I think it is perfect for making custom notecards. It comes well packaged in a neat carrying case and makes a great gift for a scrapbooker of any age. I don't know why the other reviewer said this was cheaply made (i've used cheap punches and they are frustrating).

Six Year Old LOVES It! . My 6 year old daughter received this for Christmas. She loves it! It is easy to use and has withstood the abuse of her two year old brother.

cheaply made doesn't work . Although I was attracted by the patterns of these punches, I am extremely disappointed in the product. Most of the punches will not punch all the way through the paper, even though we've tried many types and weights of paper. It is a complete waste of money.

Classic fun for kids and adults of all ages . I have 7 young children that were kept amused for several hours thanks to this mega pack of play-doh. Even my 2 year old, sat at our dining room table for TWO STRAIGHT HOURS making various pretend foods and flowers and trees. Play-doh is a classic. It's great for fine tuning gross motor skills in young children, while capturing the imagination for children and adults alike.
Would I buy this again? You bet.

Awesome gift for multi-kid households . Tonight I got pictures from both families who recieved a megabox of playdoh for Christmas. Kids aged from 2-8, and it was fun for all six of them. Safe for the toddlers, and enough colors so that sibling disagreements were limited. Great vibrant colors, and good old playdoh fun. I sent cookie cutters of bugs and animals with the playdoh too.

LOTS of colors . It is what it is: a big box of Play-doh! Lots of colors, and lots of fun. If your kids (or you!) enjoy Play-doh as much as my daughter (or me!) you will have a seemingly endless supply. For some reason, I always used to cringe when my daughter mixed the colors, but not any more; there's just so much of it now!

kids like all the colors . People must be complaining about their play-doh drying out because these lids are HARD to get off! Other than that, the colors are bright and good play doh quality.

massive stockpile . This product is simple. Its a whole bunch of Play-Doh. got it during Black Friday week or weeks or whatever it was called over the past two months. Great deal for a huge amount that made my kids very happy.

What more can you ask for? . Every color imaginable! My children will never run out of doh now...or at least until they've all dried up. I find that as long as you keep the lids on, play-doh is wonderfully durable. Love it!

Only in America can a boy look Santa to bring him 36 cans of Play Doh, that stinky but amusing substitute for expensive modeling clay that your parents bought you as a child. American children have learned to make all kinds of things using Play Doh, and I suspect they have consumed several million pounds of it as well. Maybe calling it DOH was a bad idea. Little Jimmy loves when mommy let's him eat the raw cookie DOUGH...but little Jimmy doesn't know DOH is not DOUGH and despite the stink, which is trumped by the "pretty colors", little Jimmy and little Suzie are BOUND to take a wee nibble now and again! But only at Amazon.com can you find this amazing value. 36 cans for $20?? My parents only WISH they had Amazon.com back in the day when they were too cheap to buy me the good modeling clay! LOL! So now I pass the heritage of cheap Play Doh on to my boy, with a napkin. Play well, boy. And if you need some Di-gel, it's in the medicine cabinet! 8=)

Not for left handed users . I bought two of these for my boys to use for a camping trip (just in case it rained).. unfortunately, the left-handed child had issues because the pen is tied to the right side. usually you can flip the board over and continue to use it but upside down, the pen hardly reaches the board. Just a heads up for those with lefties!

My son loves it . Got this for my 16 month old son for Christmas because he loves to color. It is a nice alternative to possibly messy crayons, markers, pencils, or pens. One main reason I got this one was because of the light. It's great for car rides! It's really easy for my son to use too. Sometimes they are difficult to erase but he can do it with ease. He can also turn on the light with no problem. I also like the feature that turns off the light automatically after 3 minutes. Overall, really like the product. My son has used it every day since Christmas. The only reason I gave it a one-star for educational is that we really don't use it much for that purpose at this point. I'll use it to write words and draw pictures of things to teach him, but that's about it right now. I'm sure later on it will be nice for him to practice writing his letters/words.

We love this one! . We have four boys and they all like to draw on doodle pads and we have gone through four of them but this one has lasted for a whole year and is still in good shape even though it belongs to a just three year old active boy! It is awesome for trips because if he is awake in the car he can entertain himself and is not bugging anybody else. the batteries last pretty long too and are screwed in instead of a pop out cover so banging it around is not an issue.

Bright Light . Very cute travel toy. My son can't put it down. the light is very bright. The only downside to this is that my son is left handed so he doesn't have much slack with the string that attaches with the pen. It is attached to the upper right corner. he resolved this by turning it upside down so he can get more slack. It's very cute, and a great gift for my three year old.

LOVE THIS TOY!!! . I got this for my 2 1/2 year old for Christmas and it turned out to be her favorite toy. The night light is great and doesn't bother me at all while I am driving. You can barely see it through the rear view mirror. It lights up the doodle pro well, it keeps her entertained and is easy for her to use while we are driving at night (or during the day). The light automatcially turns off after a few minutes, so I don't have to worry about the battery dying - and it's easy for my daugther to turn on by herself. Another bonus of the toy - it's quite...no loud noises coming from it while I am driving. Would recommend for anyone!

Kid Tough is right!! . We bought this to have on the plane for a 2+ hour flight for my daughter at age 18 months. She liked playing with it for a while, but would get bored fairly quickly. However, she was 18 months! To keep her interest, we would create new games, like tracing our hands on it. It's nice to have tucked in the diaper bag for when you get stuck somewhere and need something to entertain them with.

Educationally, I'd say it's what you make of it! You can write out ABC's, numbers, draw things for them to identify... it's up to you!

It's very tough too! I've noticed that the screen will start to look a bit gray when it's in the toy box or diaper bag, like the particles inside aren't cleaning off. But I discovered that if you use the pen and draw all over it, then clear the screen again, it will clean up pretty well. Haven't had any issues with it, and it's been put through some serious beatings!

Great toy for traveling in the car etc. . My nearly-2 year-old son loves to draw, but I wanted to get him something we could take on a long road trip that had minimal pieces and wouldn't involve any clean-up after. This magnetic doodler has an attached pen/wand and a flip-up light when it gets dark. We've gotten a lot of mileage out of this. The only downside is that in only 3 weeks it's alerady starting to not erase as well, leaving some of the magnetic dust on the screen even after sliding the "eraser" back and forth in all kids of different ways. But still, our son enjoys it and when it dies we'll probably buy another one to replace it.

travel doodler . Bought this for the grandkids and they love it. They keep it in the car and use it all the time. Helps to entertain them when they are traveling.

This is great . It's small so it's great for travel. It fits easily into a diaper bag. great for a restaurant, or car. Love it! My 2 year old can easily move the slider to erase her drwing. I don't have to help unless I want to. :)
