Not for left handed users . I bought two of these for my boys to use for a camping trip (just in case it rained).. unfortunately, the left-handed child had issues because the pen is tied to the right side. usually you can flip the board over and continue to use it but upside down, the pen hardly reaches the board. Just a heads up for those with lefties!

Fisher Price Kid Tough Travel Doodle Pro with Light Reviews
My son loves it . Got this for my 16 month old son for Christmas because he loves to color. It is a nice alternative to possibly messy crayons, markers, pencils, or pens. One main reason I got this one was because of the light. It's great for car rides! It's really easy for my son to use too. Sometimes they are difficult to erase but he can do it with ease. He can also turn on the light with no problem. I also like the feature that turns off the light automatically after 3 minutes. Overall, really like the product. My son has used it every day since Christmas. The only reason I gave it a one-star for educational is that we really don't use it much for that purpose at this point. I'll use it to write words and draw pictures of things to teach him, but that's about it right now. I'm sure later on it will be nice for him to practice writing his letters/words.

We love this one! . We have four boys and they all like to draw on doodle pads and we have gone through four of them but this one has lasted for a whole year and is still in good shape even though it belongs to a just three year old active boy! It is awesome for trips because if he is awake in the car he can entertain himself and is not bugging anybody else. the batteries last pretty long too and are screwed in instead of a pop out cover so banging it around is not an issue.

Bright Light . Very cute travel toy. My son can't put it down. the light is very bright. The only downside to this is that my son is left handed so he doesn't have much slack with the string that attaches with the pen. It is attached to the upper right corner. he resolved this by turning it upside down so he can get more slack. It's very cute, and a great gift for my three year old.
LOVE THIS TOY!!! . I got this for my 2 1/2 year old for Christmas and it turned out to be her favorite toy. The night light is great and doesn't bother me at all while I am driving. You can barely see it through the rear view mirror. It lights up the doodle pro well, it keeps her entertained and is easy for her to use while we are driving at night (or during the day). The light automatcially turns off after a few minutes, so I don't have to worry about the battery dying - and it's easy for my daugther to turn on by herself. Another bonus of the toy - it's quite...no loud noises coming from it while I am driving. Would recommend for anyone!
Kid Tough is right!! . We bought this to have on the plane for a 2+ hour flight for my daughter at age 18 months. She liked playing with it for a while, but would get bored fairly quickly. However, she was 18 months! To keep her interest, we would create new games, like tracing our hands on it. It's nice to have tucked in the diaper bag for when you get stuck somewhere and need something to entertain them with.
Educationally, I'd say it's what you make of it! You can write out ABC's, numbers, draw things for them to identify... it's up to you!

But I discovered that if you use the pen and draw all over it, then clear the screen again, it will clean up pretty well. Haven't had any issues with it, and it's been put through some serious beatings!

Great toy for traveling in the car etc. . My nearly-2 year-old son loves to draw, but I wanted to get him something we could take on a long road trip that had minimal pieces and wouldn't involve any clean-up after. This magnetic doodler has an attached pen/wand and a flip-up light when it gets dark. We've gotten a lot of mileage out of this. The only downside is that in only 3 weeks it's alerady starting to not erase as well, leaving some of the magnetic dust on the screen even after sliding the "eraser" back and forth in all kids of different ways. But still, our son enjoys it and when it dies we'll probably buy another one to replace it.
travel doodler . Bought this for the grandkids and they love it. They keep it in the car and use it all the time. Helps to entertain them when they are traveling.
This is great . It's small so it's great for travel. It fits easily into a diaper bag. great for a restaurant, or car. Love it! My 2 year old can easily move the slider to erase her drwing. I don't have to help unless I want to. :)
