Good accessory . This was one of the accessories I got for my 4 year old neice's aquadoodle, they were the least played with due to the stamper pad had to be really full of water or they had to press down hard for the whole stamp image to appear. Fun toy but the brush and pen accessory were used far more.

Spend your money on a coloring book and crayons . My daughter (then 21 months) received this for Christmas last year (2010). This has been in our "craft cabinet" since a week after Christmas last year. My kids haven't touched it since. It's not that I doubt the quality of this toy as it does seem durable (although it hasn't been played with much in our home) but I just don't see why this toy is needed and there are better toys like this to spend your money on. I feel it encourages your child to scribble to get the music to play and doesn't really encourage using your imagination to draw a picture or color in the lines. My other child (4 yrs old) would also scrible on it as fast as she could for a minute or two to get the music to play faster, then the toy would be put to the side. They both prefer to color in a coloring book or draw a picture on regular paper. This toy is now in a box to go to goodwill.

Great Educational Toy for kids . Great toy for children two and a half old help with colour and writing also. Education wise great. Thank you.

Great idea bad execution . Like several others have said, this seemed like the perfect gift for my 15 month old. He LOVES music and has recently shown an interest in coloring with his older siblings. He will play with this for a few minutes, then just wants to scribble elsewhere. The music is boring and non-descript. Why not choose tunes kids are familiar with? Overall, my suggestion would be to get out some paper and turn on your favorite kids cd while they color.

Meh not much interest . My best advice? Skip it.
I bought this for my daughters 2nd birthday, she LOVES to color and she dances every time there's music playing, I thought this would be perfect blend of her interests. It was fun for her to un wrap and hasnt been played with since. My 6yr old tried it too and gave up on it shortly there after. The idea behind it was great but the product missed the mark.The toy itself seems reasonably well made, it has a high-low volume switch, paper seems to fit well under the tabs, and it does what it says it will. The music isnt very entertaining, I dont recognize any one tune and the sound quality is very much lacking. It takes quite a bit of pressure to get it going, more than my daughter is used to and my son broke a crayon trying.
Over all, I regret wasting my money on it.

Who cares about the music! . My 18 month old LOVES to color but can't grasp the concept of holding the paper to keep it still. I am constantly using tape to keep her creations in one space. This little lap desk is the perfect alternative! The paper clips into place and stays still. I don't really care about the music either way.

good toy for toddlers . We had a paper aquadoodle first, it was taped to the wall and lasted for about a year with my toddler daughter drawing on it almost everyday, until my 14 months son decided to rip it one day. We replaced it with this deluxe version. It appears to be made of a durable material that my son won't be able to rip off, but it also seems to not draw on as well as paper, but overall I still think it's an awesome product for toddlers who like to draw.

Perfectly Clean Mess . I love the idea of having creative kids, but am not in love with making a mess every time they want to pull out markers or paint. For young children still learning how to "stay inside the lines" or on the paper for that matter, this is a great fit. The mat has lasted years (I bought ours 3 years ago). Childsupply Economic Adj. Easel . The holes where the screws go into were sharp and the wood on several was splintered. Screws were to short or stripped, wooden knobs can't be tightened or loosened because the screws aren't secured, dry esase dosen't erase, (no instructions as to whether this is even a dry erase) although it looks exactly like all the dry erase boards in my house. Will erase if you do it immediately, if you wait 2 seconds forget it. The wooden tray falls off if bumped at all, easel then collapses and falls over, very dangerous for small children. My 8 year old Granddaughter tipped it over twice in 30 minutes.

This product was the worst item I have purchased in years. Not worth a third of the money even without the above defects. Junk!!!!

Don't waste your money . We purchased this easel for our 7 year old daughter. It's a HUGE disappointment. Extended to its full height, my daughter still has to kneel to use it. The claim that it grows with your child is bogus. Not sure how a 14-year-old will use it without having to put it on a raised surface. The chalkboard doesn't really take to chalk very well, you really have to push down. The dry erase board, well, doesn't erase very well at all. We used good dry erase markers on it, and when we erased, it left a lot of ghosting. We've had it for less than a month, and we're already in the market for a new easel - one that stands taller, and has better a quality chalkboard and dry erase surface. This one's going in the trash.

good easel poor assembly instructions . We bought this easel for our 21-month-old toddler. She loves, the easel, and we like it a lot too. So far she only draws on paper -- we have not tried the chalkboard or whiteboard yet. The easel is quite stable, and although it's true that the chalk tray can get bumped out of place, this doesn't seem to happen too often and when it does, the easel doesn't collapse.

The assembly was quite a problem for us. The main issue is that the assembly instructions show the entire upper portion of the easel (the chalkboard-whiteboard-hinge assembly) as though it were already put together, but it was not -- it came in pieces. It's not that hard to assemble it, but without any instructions to do so it took us 30 minutes or so extra. Also, one of the screws was incorrect. I called the company today and they promised to send a new one. Another reviewer commented on sharp and splintered wood. We didn't encounter that.

Birthday present for my son's teacher. . The 1st grade class helped to purchase this for their teachers birthday. She just absolutley loves and uses it everyday. She told me that this was the best present she has ever received.

Classic fun for kids and adults of all ages . I have 7 young children that were kept amused for several hours thanks to this mega pack of play-doh. Even my 2 year old, sat at our dining room table for TWO STRAIGHT HOURS making various pretend foods and flowers and trees. Play-doh is a classic. It's great for fine tuning gross motor skills in young children, while capturing the imagination for children and adults alike.

Awesome gift for multi-kid households . Tonight I got pictures from both families who recieved a megabox of playdoh for Christmas. Kids aged from 2-8, and it was fun for all six of them. Safe for the toddlers, and enough colors so that sibling disagreements were limited. Great vibrant colors, and good old playdoh fun. I sent cookie cutters of bugs and animals with the playdoh too.

LOTS of colors . It is what it is: a big box of Play-doh! Lots of colors, and lots of fun. If your kids (or you!) enjoy Play-doh as much as my daughter (or me!) you will have a seemingly endless supply. For some reason, I always used to cringe when my daughter mixed the colors, but not any more; there's just so much of it now!

kids like all the colors . People must be complaining about their play-doh drying out because these lids are HARD to get off! Other than that, the colors are bright and good play doh quality.

massive stockpile . This product is simple. Its a whole bunch of Play-Doh. got it during Black Friday week or weeks or whatever it was called over the past two months. Great deal for a huge amount that made my kids very happy.

What more can you ask for? . Every color imaginable! My children will never run out of doh now...or at least until they've all dried up. I find that as long as you keep the lids on, play-doh is wonderfully durable. Love it!

Only in America can a boy look Santa to bring him 36 cans of Play Doh, that stinky but amusing substitute for expensive modeling clay that your parents bought you as a child. American children have learned to make all kinds of things using Play Doh, and I suspect they have consumed several million pounds of it as well. Maybe calling it DOH was a bad idea. Little Jimmy loves when mommy let's him eat the raw cookie DOUGH...but little Jimmy doesn't know DOH is not DOUGH and despite the stink, which is trumped by the "pretty colors", little Jimmy and little Suzie are BOUND to take a wee nibble now and again! But only at Amazon.com can you find this amazing value. 36 cans for $20?? My parents only WISH they had Amazon.com back in the day when they were too cheap to buy me the good modeling clay! LOL! So now I pass the heritage of cheap Play Doh on to my boy, with a napkin. Play well, boy. And if you need some Di-gel, it's in the medicine cabinet! 8=)

Good markers for young toddlers . These were perfect for my young toddler when he starting to draw. He bit the tips off of regular markers, so these were a good solution. They are like bingo dobbers. An adult or older child will need to get the markers started by pressing them to paper to get the ink running. I stored them flat and haven't had a problem.

Cons Review

Pointillism Disaster . These markers say they are for 24 months and up.....except what 2 year old doesn't dabble with a little pointillism? In our case, my toddler making dots on her paper caused a flurry of blue ink from one end of my kitchen to the other. Flecks of blue were in a radius of nearly 6 feet; blue was on her face, blue was on the wall...it looked like my sweet child had committed a homicidal act on a Smurf. The ink on these suckers either gushes or doesn't flow at all, so by her just making dots on construction paper, ink was practically shooting out the tip. We've disappeared these in favor of crayons for now.

Hard to use . Hard to use for my 15 mo old. You need to have the markers completely vertical so the ink is on the paper. It's hard for her to hold it this way. She enjoys traditional markers better compared to these.

good idea but not reliable . Product arrived with leaks in 2 out of the 5 markers. Very messy. Awkward to store in classroom environment, because must remain upright or the ink flows out too much or too little--a frustration for preschool kids (and teacher!). Bright and vibrant colors. Good design for how 3-4 year olds hold the marker, and helps encourage development of a tripod grasp. I wouldn't buy this product again.

disappointing but still fun . I had hoped that using these different textured brushes would create different effects. Unfortunately, when used by a toddler (or an adult) the paint simply smears. You might as well crumple paper or old shirts-- you would get the same effect. That being said, my son does enjoy using them because they are so big and different. He doesn't mind that they don't make different patterns.

Pretty cool . I like that this chalk is in holders, because it's less messy when my son draws with it. Not as big a fan of the 2 colors in each holder though... it's half and half, and easily splits down the center when handled by a toddler who hasn't quite gotten the concept yet of GENTLY making lines with the chalk!!!

What I love about this chalk is that it's great for both the sidewalk and the chalkboard... some "sidewalk chalks" are too rough on chalkboards, but this is more like regular chalk that's just thicker. Overall good stuff.

Good chalk for a toddler . I bought this chalk for my 2 yr old duaghter to use with the double easel board I bought for her birthday. The chalk is big and has a holder which is great for toddlers. My daughter loves drawing on her chalkbodard. The only con I would say is that although it is great for toddlers it still leaves chalk dust everywhere which can be kind of messy and annoying. It's play doh! . It would be nice if they had in the description which colors were in this box, but it's not that big of a deal. You can purchase 1 can of playdoh for around $1 at Walmart, so for 24 cans at $15 (or I got it for $7.50 on sale) it was a decent deal. I just wish Play-doh would do something magical to keep it from drying out all the time!

The bus=pack of 24 cans is great - you can divide it up as stocking stuffers or small gifts among all the nieces/nephews/kids/grandkids.

We <3 Play Doh! . I bought this pre-Christmas when it was $7.50 to go with the Mega Fun Factory I already bought. As it turns out, we don't play with the Fun Factory at all, but we break out the entire case of this and have entire evenings of fun. My 9 year old son, 5 year old daughter, and I make animals with cookie cutters and play zoo. We make beach scenes and all sorts of imaginative themes. My kids do not realize that manipulating the dough improves hand strength and coordination for use with fine motor activities such as writing. I thought we would throw the cardboard container away, but it is just the right size and perfect for storing the dough. I am surprised it has held up this long.

The color assortment is also nice. We already had 20 colors and this nicely filled in our selection of blues, purples, browns, greens, and pinks.

Good old playdough- lots of unusual colors as well as old favorites.

Play-Doh Fun . I bought this for my 3 almost 4 year old for Christmas. The price was too good to pass up for 24 packs of Play-Doh. It has been a HUGE hit! I got some cookie cutters from the Dollar store and she will sit and play with them for like half an hour. Very worth it in my opinion!!

Really Cool! . Ok, for the price, I did not expect 24 full sized cans of play-doh. BUT that is what I got! My girls are so excited. We got 24 different colors in full sized cans. I am not going to list the colors as I expect they probably vary from box to box, but we did get a really good mix of primarys and pastels. We even got a can of black!

I will definetly repurchase this product again!

Edit: I discovered a bunch of dried, caked in Play Doh on my tile floor last night. So I pulled out my Shark Steam Mop ProEuro-Pro Shark S3501 Deluxe Steam Pocket Mop to see if that would take it up. Within minutes all the Play Doh was up and it did not require any scrubbing or scrapping. I'm adding this edit in case someone else needs a quick clean up tip!

Keeps my toddler occupied! . My toddler loves play-doh, and this was an excellent value delivered right to our door in time for Christmas. We only gave him 3 to play with and we'll continue to open them as needed. Hopefully, they'll last a long time. Wonderful value, great fine motor skill use, and awesome help in improving pretend and imagination play.

great! . This is a great big case of play-doh for a great price. I think they have improved their formula because it doesn't seem to dry out as fast as it used to. Nice variety of colors. My kids love it.

Cons Review

Smaller than I thought . I read reviews about this product before purchasing it and I was under the impression that the containers are the regular size. They're not, they're actually about half the size. There's many different colors, some double. My kids love playdoh and I let them play with four containers at a time until they've dried up, then we take another four. I reccomend buying playdoh cut-outs or something to shape the dough with because it can get pretty boring just using playdoh alone.

Great item--Terrible Presentation . I recently purchased the Child to Cherish Crayon Apron to give for a child's birthday. Cute and functional! . I bought this for my 4 year old niece and she did like it (well, let's face it, she likes all things pink). Great construction and durable material. I was worried that the apron strings would be too short but they were perfect. I did notice that the apron did get a bit heavy with all the crayons in it but I guess that's the price you have to pay for creative beauty!

Great for little painters . My daughter loves these paintbrushes (it's her on the box enjoying them when she was two) and now she enjoys them even more at age three. You just have to make sure you have at least two pieces of paper so it doesn't seep through to the table. They are easy to use once you get the hang of pressing them down to get the paint out.

Great idea poor execution . Bought these to use with 3 year old with a disability. I was excited about the triangle shape to encourage a tripod grasp. I was very disappointed by the amount of pressure required to get the paint out. The paint was also watery, and strokes could not deliver a smooth and fluid output of paint.

Great for outdoors! . We love to use these outside with fingerpaints! We use the waxy fingerpaint paper, tap the colors onto the paper and spread the colors with wet fingers. I first thought they were more like markers and used them inside on normal paper but quickly learned that the paint will splatter if you tap the brushes too hard, and that it soaks through normal paper. The paints washed out of my kids' clothes without any problem. They are great for making creative messes outside!

Surprisingly poor product from kids craft mavens . These are nothing like paintbrushes in any way, shape or form. The brushes are hard and spiky and don't spread the color well. The color is not at all like paint; more like marker ink. The brushes have to be constantly pumped to get the ink to flow, but one pump too much and it floods. Like marker ink, it seeps through the paper and on permeable papers like construction, it feathers badly. It is not washable; it stains everything it touches. This is a surprisingly poor product from a company I normally associate with excellent products for little artists and crafters, and I would not recommend it.
