Good Loom For Adults and Children . A 10 yr. old boy is working his third bracelet and is doing a necklace on this easy to use and very sturdy. I would buy again is the need arises. A good value for the money spent.

Don't waste your time . A great idea, in theory, but I think this is a very poor design. The wing nuts do not tighten sufficiently to hold the strings in place - they just spin around and around. I will be able to get it working, with a bit of work and a few bits and pieces from around the house, but if I had given this to a child for Christmas I would feel awful about it...

Great for Beadweaving! . I copy portions of works of art from the Great Masters and turn them into Jewelry
or amulet bags.
All I needed was the loom. I bought suitable thread and size 15/0 beads for my work separately.
I can imagine it being super easy with larger beads.
Being portable, this loom is perfect for me.

Summer fun . Bought my girls two over the summer for something different to do and they made nice bracelets. They really enjoyed using these.
Flimsy but fun . Other than the thread with the strength of wet spaghetti, and the slippery, hard to maneuver springs that hold the weak threads in place, and the wingnut that may not actually tighten down when you need it to, it's still a fun little gizmo. I replaced the thread with a stronger type and I can now give away my beaded creations without the "it's likely to break and scatter all over the floor" disclaimer. It requires some gettin' used to, but ultimately it can be made to work. I've seen looms of this variety that were far more sturdy. Perhaps they were also far more expensive.
requires patience and persistance . I bought this for my 8 year old grand-daughter but ended up giving it to the 14 year old and was GLAD I did. Would have been much too hard for the younger girl. Required my assistance even though the 14 year old is highly capable. She did really enjoy it, though, which I wasn't sure she would -- was not too juvenile for her.
Great Tool . This loom is small yet durable. Absolutely portable and a great tool to use for beading. I couldn't have anticipated such an enjoyable hobby and this tool made the hobby even more enjoyable.
Difficult . We bought this for our 11 year old daughter. She is very crafty and imaginative. However, this loom was a nightmare. She tried it twice, and was on the verge of tears with frustration. I think it will end up at Goodwill!

First, the thread sent with the loom is very cheap and breaks easily. Second, the size of the beads does not match the space created by the loom to fit them into. Third, you'd have to be a neurosurgeon to be able to manipulate this, and my 10 year old daughter is not a neurosurgeon. She was in tears trying to do this, and I took over just trying to set it up for her, and I was ready to throw it out the window within 15 minutes. I won't throw it out the window....I'll get my money back.

Bead Loom Review . This was exactly what I was looking for. I haven't had one since I was a kid and I wanted to get back into loom beading. Very simple design, great for beginners.
