Nothing like a creative picnic . I purchased this so that my Mom and I could make fun food for our granddaughter. She loves to play house and I thought she would love to have something that was made by her great and great great grandmas. Details on making and patterns are great. Also you could make some of them into magnets.

Good product - lots of fun! . I bought this for my almost six year old. I wanted to get her some play food for her kitchen and thought this was a great choice. She needs some help from me but not too much that it feels like my project. I would recommend this to anyone with a child about her age - not too much younger.

great for kids! . It is a great thing for kids that have a basic knowledge of stitching. You definitely have to be there to do it with them if they don't know how to stitch, because otherwise it will not match up. I do wish that the thread they gave you matched the item you were trying to stitch. Purple doesn't really match up well with green and red. Any kid can put this together, it just may not be what you want if you are not helping them and showing them where to go next. But they should have fun doing it. I would recommend it for ages 9+.

Great for teaching Patience! . I bought this for our 7 yr old and admit it was a little difficult for her. As with any beginning needlework; tangling the thread and making correct stitches can be a frustrating. I think she will enjoy it even more when she is a bit older, of course then I don't know if her interest in playfood will last. Overall, I do enjoy kits like this, it teaches patience, survival skills and is more practical than most toys!
Don't waste your money . This is a total waste of money....The string and other peice colors dont make the picture. When you put it together no matter how you follow the direction(which are really bad directions) They dont look anything like the box. It looks like something a 2 year old made. Just search Felt food patterns and buy them on line and make them. Thats what I ended up having to do.
