Not as pictured! . Crayola now offers markers made from recycled plastic. All markers are black! I purposely ordered these because they were picutred on the site to be the original white plastic with the colored stripes that match the caps. It is very difficult for students to grab the right color (assuming more than one have the caps off). It also makes it difficult to get the caps back on the right marker. Not always does the tip appear to be the color it does on paper. I am disappointed that I received the ones I was trying to avoid getting.

Product Review . Although the gift was received with great enthusiasm, for the price the product did not seem to warrant the price charged. It was much smaller than I anticipated. I hope the product holds up to a child's usage of the product. The cost for the item, in my opinion was overpriced. It is merely a piece of colored particle board with a roll of paper.
As the purchaser I'm disappointed but it was well received by the receiver of the gift and her parents.

Wall Easel . I have limited space and this is turning out to be the perfect solution. It is used by about 9 children ages 18 months to 5 years and fills their needs nicely.
It was easy to hang taking only about 15 minutes. I need to help them tear the paper or slide it under the plastic bar. I would recommend this to others.

Alex Toys My Wall Easel Opinions
Great for an almost 3yr old . We bought this for our daughter for Christmas. She will be three in a couple of months. The first one arrived damaged, but due to the ease of amazon returns we were able to return it and get a new one. So much easier than waiting in line to return something at the store. Just print the label and give it to your UPS man...get online and order a new one. Refund actually came through the day after we got the replacement. The replacement is great. Easy to hang...a level and cordless drill were needed. It comes loaded with the paper and the cups to hold crayons to a paint (we are not to the paint stage yet). We have not used the chalk board feature yet, but it did not come with an eraser.

Product looks great and our daughter loves it. The mounting system seems to have it securely fastened to the wall. Would recommend this product. And like always, you cannot beat Amazon Prime Shipping.

Good purchase . We were impressed with this product overall. Great colours, roll of paper rolls easily and mounting was fine. The paper roll itself is a smaller width than standard easels.

Exactly what I wanted to wish it were bigger . This is exactly what I wanted. An easel that hangs on the wall and out of the way. The roll of paper is convenient to pull down and use and the guide at the bottom to hold the paper in place is great. The blackboard seems to be a little on the cheap side so not sure how long that will last. My only issue with this easel is that I wish it were a little bigger. The cups on the bottom are nice, but if this were about 6 inches wider, with two more cups or a platform/shelf at the bottom, it would be perfect. There is hardly enough room for paints and brushes. Despite the negatives, I love that this goes on the wall and keeps the play room tidy.

Awesome--For the Little Teacher . My daughter always pretends to be a school teacher. For her birthday, we decided to buy her an easel/chalkboard. We went to the local stores where they were almost twice the amount as this one. This one is hanging on her wall. She can use it as a writitng tablet or a chalkboard. She absolutely loves it!!!!!! Great quality and durable and very affroable compared to the ones in the store.

Fun space saver . Bought this for my 2.5 year old son who loves to color & paint. So far he loves it. Great that it can hang in the play room without taking up as much space as traditional easel. Colors are fun and good for boys or girls. Not super durable wood, but it doesn't need to be. overall happy with the purchase.

Love it! . My 2 yr old loves to color...on everything! We were getting our front room walls colored on daily. So we decided to order this and hang it in the front room in his play corner and its fantastic. Has it completely cured him of his wall decorations? No, but its easier to redirect his attention now to where he can color. Its the perfect size for him and it overall adorable! It was very easy to hang and I would definitely recommend it!

LOVE IT . This easel is exactly as described and loved by every member of my family!! I purshased this for my 5 year old who wants to be an artist like spencer (icarly fans know what i speek of). I believe in fostering creative expression in my children and this easel certainly gives tools to do just that! Would recomend to anyone interested in having an easel. Still looking for pieces... . I found an easel very similar to this at our local kids consignment shop for about $20. I brought it home and mounted it on the wall and it's very stable. (I have to admit I was surprised at how sturdy it was once hung.) My 2 1/2 yo son seems to like it and overall I'm very happy with my purchase, especially since I had been looking at other easels that were much more expensive and took up a lot more space. I love that he has constant access to the ability to create; he doesn't have to ask, his paper and crayon box are right there. My only complaint is... I wish I could find the cups that are supposed to fit the holder. I don't want to just order any old cups I can find because they may not fit.Would I buy it again? Absolutely.

Weak Weaver . Design vs Dollars; dollars wins again. The choice between good design and construction versus costs is a challenge for most people who have their eye on the bottom line. Here too someone decided they should cut corners on the construction in order to keep the cost down. If it's really a choice of a few dollars why not make up the difference in quantity, sell more of them by building in quality. Then this review would have been raving.

The weaver is still cool for most pre-teens and teens, maybe even younger. Just using it gives you an elementary understanding of weaving and you can't help but wonder how large textile manufacturers do it on larger scales. But like I started out saying, they cut one of the most critical corners in any design. A single point failure in the ratchet gear mechanism. It doesn't engage the ratchet completely thus it pops out and doesn't hold the fabric in place. I'm handy so replacing the gear mechanism is not too difficult but something so simple shouldn't be the failure of the entire toy. But it is.

Cheap and better than a cardboard loom! . So I bought this for myself in order to make cloth as part of tote bags that I gave a presents. I would consider myself an adult :-P and I love weaving on this. The tension thing is a little wonky, but I just retighten it as needed. It's a pain to rethread (which I guess is why they sale refills). The wool yarn is attached to the loom via velcro, which means that you can't use other fiber types.

Dissapointed . This product does not function correctly. The brakes on the weft rollers do not properly hold the tension. Overall, I am dissapointed with the product comparing the cost to the functionality.

easy weaver--B . My grand-girls loved this introduction to weaving! However, as an experienced weaver, I have some suggestions for the manufacturer: the warp should be wound more carefully and 'packed' with paper to keep the weaving more even. Also, if the center support for the rigid heddle (in its upper position) were 1/4-1/2 inch higher, it would create a better shed. The limited shed-space in the upper position, makes it hard to pass the shuttle from one side to the other. The included yarns produced two beaufiful scarves.

A whole lot of fun! . I FINALLY got one! And it came already warped with 2 yards of WOOL & 6 bobbins of wool to finish weaving it, which is close to $60 worth of wool alone. This means you can open the box & start weaving! It may be listed as a toy but it's a great first loom & a lot less expensive than Ashford or others by loom & wheel producers. I love it.

weaving loom ridged heddle . This small loom is easy to use and practical. It has enough size to be versitle yet small enough to make it good for a small space. Buying it on Amazon makes it very doable financially.Good deal all around.

loom . This was purchased as a gift for grandchildren for Christmas. They have learned how the weaving process works. So, far it has been a good product. I would not recommend it for young children , however. It really is not a toy to be played with. It is wonderful for children who like to be creative.

The kids love it... . Yes, it took two people to put it together (but you only need to put it together once). My kids love it, and want to paint all the time, I just wish we could order more paint palletes. It's really sturdy and I can't image a child being able to knock it down. The removeable yellow tray has lots of space for art supplies. The only draw back I find, is that on one side, the paper clips don't really hold onto the paper all that well, so we just use scotch tape to hold it in place. It seems that one of the clips was bent before shipment and I couldn't bent it back in shape, but I also didn't contact the manufacturer either. So, all in all, I find it a great buy and the height is adjustable so it can grow with the kids.

My son loves it! . I chose this easel over the classier wooden ones because it looked more sturdy and now that it's assembled I am glad I chose it. It took my husband less than 30 minutes to put it together (went faster once I stopped helping LOL). The sidewalk chalk we already had works just fine on the chalkboard. We are using washable markers on the whiteboard as our 3-year-old doesn't always confine himself to the board when drawing. My only complaint is the 4 paint cups in the tray are two different sizes, so the separate paint cups I bought won't all fit at once. Otherwise, it's great and I can see we'll get many years of use out of it.

Chalkboard doesn't work . I have a 15 month old, and she doesn't yet play with it. But I love it. When she does show an interest in coloring, she will play with it. I only thing is the chalkboard is not good. The chalk won't write on it. I've tried doing what was suggested and rubbing the chalk sideways on it and then rubbing it off. Nothing. I've tried buying different types of chalk, but they all do the same thing. Nothing.

I bought ABC magnets so we use those and the paper, but would love if the chalkboard worked.

Great! . It took my best friend 30 minutes to put this together on her own. Great, adjustable height. Clips on both sides for paper makes it great for twins!

Love it . My twins are two and love this. It's sturdy, I don' think even they can knock it over. It takes up a lot of room, but for the two of them it's a really good size.

I put it together, with "assistance" from two two-year olds, and it only took about 30 minutes.

Not too bad... . I purchased this for my daughter's 5th birthday. I have 3 daughters and they love to play school. Setting it up was not that difficult. Instructions were included. This item included only the roll of paper. I had to buy the markers for the dry erase board and the crayons for the chalkboard. I purchased the Crayola colored chalk and Crayola washable markers. I didn't want the erase board to stain with the "expo" brand markers. Well, neither worked. We we all disappointed. Even after priming the chalkboard, it did not work. I really thought I was going to return it. So, I purchased Prang WHITE chalk and bought the EXPO brand markers. They both worked!!! My only gripe is that for the price, it should have included all the basic accessories, including an eraser, chalk and markers. Otherwise, the girls love it. Chalkboard is working perfectly and there is no stain to the erase board with the expo markers. Seems to be durable enough, does not tip over at all. Stand is adjustable. Overall, we are happy with this purchase. We are looking forward to hours of fun.

Poor Packaging . I liked the easel, but unfortunately the package was missing the paper it was to come with and no instructions for assembly were included. It took an hour to assemble without the instructions.
