I don't get the hype . I bought this after reading rave reviews on-line and from moms in my play group. I don't get it - it's messy and while it doesn't stick to the carpet, it picks up anything ON the carpet - carpet fibers, hairs, etc...I thought it was gross!
Package info says it can be rolled out and cut into shapes. I found it difficult to roll out and cut into shapes. It was not easy to mold into anything either.
My children did not find any enjoyment out of this. After a few minutes, my son asked for playdoh again. This was a big disappointment especially at its price.

Cons Review
Yuck? . I don't really like the playfoam. We got the kind with sparkles in it and we always have sparkles all over us for a few days after playing. I even found some in the baby's hair! It feels kind of sticky and smells kind of yuck too. I always think about the strange chemicals that are probably in this stuff. I keep trying to find a time to throw it away un-noticed...stick to play-doh (in my opinion)
Playfoam . My daughter loved it, but it was very hard to clean up. Very sticky. Compared to Play-doh that was easy to sweep up once it is dried out. The play foam stays sticky so ended up on the bottom of socks and could not easily sweep up.
but not on a carpet . The tiny, sticky, beads do get caught in the carpet. It was fine when used on glass top table over hardwood floor.
My Grandkids love this!! . I bought this for my grand-kids and they (and my daughter) have been having a ball with this stuff! It is so popular that I decided to order another 6 pack as my 4 year old grandson decided to make a "cake" out of all 6 colors and once a color sticks to another it's a bit of a challenge getting the colors separated. My 8 year old grand-daughter was upset that the colors were now blended so I just decided to order another 6 pack brick. What can you buy for under $8.00 that kids get this much enjoyment out of?! The boys now make roads and hills out of the blended floam and they drive their Hot Wheels on them. How cute!!!
Great creative and clean alternative to Play Doh . My 3 year old granddaughter loves the play foam. It is a great clean and creative alternative to Play Doh
Play Foam...toys . This was fun for my g'son right from the beginning. He is a very creative young man and has played with and created for months now with this play foam. A good bargain and a good product.
Squishey fun . This product has little foam pallets that stick together with some sort of glue it seems, when playing with it, you can see that glue streching to make it feel squishy and moldable. I wouldn't recommend the glitter version though, since it's not part of the foam as in actual glitter, it's more like sparkles or silvery dots mixed in the "batter", so you end up with sparkles all over you hands and it doesn't make the foam look glittery at all. All in all it's fun to play with, same kind of fun you get from playing with play dough, though the texture is refreshing and a nice change from play dough.
