excellent toy . I bought this one for my 2 yr old daughter. and she simply loves it.The glow in the dark feature is the best part so specially in the night whenever we are in the car this is her Favorite past time.totally worth the money i spent. and the stencils helps her in her drawing skills too. she loves it and so do I.

Big diappointment . We were very disappointed with the product. First the colors are not as vibrant as you would expect from the photographs provided, they are very muted and can only be seen when the light of the toy is on. Second, the drawing board is not very durable, there were scratches on the plastic drawing screen after the very first use. These scratches become more and more problematic with subsequent uses since the marker colors get embedded in the scratches and will not wash away. Third, it does not clean easily or well between drawings. You must wash the screen with a wet cloth to get the marker off which leaves streaks and requires extra cleaning to remove since any streak or residue left behind interferes with viewing the next drawn picture. Fourthly, the stencils are simply paper and are difficult for little ones to insert themselves.
The only reason I gave this product two stars is because despite it's many flaws my daughter still loves to play with it.

The sheets are difficult to put in the back which are needed to "glow" for her to trace the pictures...She definitely can't do it, and I have difficulty doing it, so it is definitely not user friendly in that sense, which basically makes the entire toy. I still have hope that maybe she will enjoy in the future, but for now it is not a winner.

Its pretty blah. . The real problem w/ this toy is how you have to clean it. My kid loves the doodler because he can just erase like crazy so when this toy came around he was excited for the color and the light. The stencil paper was hard for him to put in (he's 5) and 10 seconds later he needs to clean the surface. Grabbed cloth and dry paper towel to clean it and realized he can't really clean it w/o making a mess which means every 10 seconds I would have to clean it for him. Now the thing is sitting there. He's back to his basic doodler and he still loves that the most.
Great concept poor product . I bought this for my 6 year old nephew for Christmas. As the other reviewer, the screen was scratched straight out of the box. It's hard to clean the markers off without getting it wet, then it smears, and you have to go over it with a dry cloth, causing more scrathches. It only came with 3 markers and 4 templates, which were wrinkled an torn within hours. I could see that 3 markers wouldn't be enough, especially when the caps are left off (as they often are). I figured I could get marker/template refills, more colors and designs. Unfortunately I couldn't find them anywhere. One site I found said they were discontinued in 2007. On another forum, someone asked if anyone knew where to get them as she couldn't find them anywhere either. Why are they still selling a product that uses supplies that will ultimately need to be replaced, yet doesn't make them anymore?Like I said, great idea, but poor product. I will be returning it tomorrow (we've had it one day).
Cons Review
It was ok limitted fun not as wonderful looking as drawing . It looks like so much fun but the colors are not that extrodinary as the picture, the kids loved it until they needed to clean it off and it did not clean well. They got bored. We thought it was more like the magnetic doodle pads but with colors, not that great.
Average . Its a great idea... but... Like the previous 2 reviews the board came pre scratch (great!) I was expecting it to be a bit more durable with respect to the stencils (they are a thin paper that is like glossy magazine paper I guess) ours are not torn (yet) but did get screwed up a bit. It was a gift for my 2 and bit year old girl who is a bit ahead of her age group with drawing skills and she loves it and doesn't care the screen is scratched (she hasn't seemed to notice it really)To clean it is really impractical you need to wipe the board with a damp cloth then dry it. Not really something a 2 or 3yr old can do easily (with out the risk of maybe ruining it or the surrounding areas!)I would recommend it as a do together toy not a do it yourself toy for the younger ones.I thought I was alone with the scratched item but it seems not so maybe its a design flaw. My box had been somewhat torn and I thought it may have been the previous reviewers returned item but now 2 have said the same maybe all Amazon's stock was damaged? Either way, we are more than happy Amazon refunded our purchase and shipping fee and we can keep the defective item as well. I was going to try and get another but reluctant to if they are older stock and you can't replace items.
Fun product but had to return due to a scratched up screen . I bought this product as a Christmas present for my 5 year old. When I received it, I opened it to try it out and check for defects. When I turned on the glow light on the product, I could see scratches all over the screen. The light refracts off the scratches differently, which would then cause the scratches to be annoyingly visible. I colored on it a little, and it's a really fun and neat product, but I just couldn't get past all the scratches on it. I don't know if it was a previously used and returned product or if that's how they normally are. I wasn't able to get a replacement because they were sold out by the time I returned it. Good product, crappy experience.
