nice ship. wrong colors . While I was pleasantly surprised at the overall quality of the ship, it was not the color in the amazon ad, or on the box. The picture on the box matches the Amazon ad. but, the actual ship in side the box was 99% black. The only thing that wasn't black were the pieces that are pictured as red; those were orange. And the skull and crossbones were white as pictured. Also included in the actual kit were some bats (as in flying rats), which led me to believe that what we got was some sort of Halloween version of the ship. Maybe if it was October, and if thsi was what we ordered, this would be fine. but, it's December 17th. I would have returned it, but my 5 year old was super excited to build it, so we did. The directions on the box were confusing because they assume the pieces are the colors on the box. the box even states "Color code pieces for easy step recognition!" Very annoying. Luckily my son didn't mind the color scheme. It is cool and surprisinglly sturdy. we added a little elmer's glue in a few places as needed. But, it would have looked much, much better if it were in the color scheme that was advertised. I think they purposely dumped some Halloween leftovers on us.
