Caran D'Ache Neocolor II Watersoluble Crayons- Set of 30 These phenomenal crayons are made in Switzerland. They are the absolute best watersoluble crayons that we have come accross! The colors are brilliant and they mix easily and beautifully with water. Drawings can be blended with a wet brush; or you can use them directly on paper that has been soaked in water. They are also ideal for monoprints- simply create a drawing on plexiglass wet your watercolor paper or printmaking paper lay the wet paper over the drawing on plexiglass and burnish with a wooden spoon. The wet paper picks up the Neocolor drawing from the plexiglass. An amazing and fun to use medium! This set of 30 colors makes a terrific travel set. Bring this along with you as an alternative to pan watercolors or colored pencils. Of course it is also an ideal set for starting out with watersoluble crayons.

Best Face/Body Paints . My aunt who is a professor at an art school in Boston gave these to our family as a gift when I was a child. She said that they were ideal for face painting and they are!!! We played with our set often for years and the pastels are still in good shape and we now use them with my children. I just bought my own set to have at my house and I anticipate my grandchildren playing with them. I LOVE these pastels. They are easy to use and as mess free as face paints get! We were able to use them unattended in grade school (age 6 or so). We loved coming downstairs and showing off our face creations to our parents. My mother is an artist and enjoys using them on paper, alas I did not inherit the artist gene and my only experience is with face painting. I highly recommend them!
