Fun stampers great for toddlers beware they may stain . Bought this for my 16 mons old, he loves playing with me "pushing" them on paper. The animals look great stamped, so he can still recognized them after he's pushed them and they have the perfect size for a toddler's hand.
The only problem is that I let him play with them the first time while he was wearing a nice shirt and it stained. Now I changed him into a play shirt and he can have all the fun he wants! I'm buying another set to take to his school as well.

Great! . I got these for my 20 month old son to have another age-appropriate art activity to go with his Melissa and Doug jumbo triangular crayons. He LOVES them! They are perfect for naming the animals and colors, fine-motor practice with the stamping and also putting them in and out of the box. It's something older siblings can enjoy with him as well. The ink is very washable from hands and tabletops, but we haven't gotten it on fabric yet so I can't speak to the washability from clothes. The handles are a good size, big but not so big that he's not challenged. There is a good variety of animals to discuss and enjoy. Sometimes I add little details with crayons, like a carrot for the rabbit to eat. My only wish is for a slightly more sturdy storage container, but the box is basically adequate and keeps everything secure. A most appreciated addition to our Melissa and Doug collection, and a terrific value for the money!

Paints a bit chalky and likely to come off paper . The kids loved these but they are a bit dodgy with the paint stamper pad included. The paint became chalk like on our paper and tended to rub off on hands etc. The stampers have washed up well and not broken either.

she loved the stampers . This was a Christmas gift given early. So far it has been a hit. We have had no trouble with the ink. You can stamp several times with a nice image.
Update, We just used them this week-end again and she is having lots of fun. She is still stamping several times over the same image but she will get the hang of it soon. The ink came off her hands with ease.

Great for my toddler . These stampers are cute and my daughter loves to use them. They include an array of common pets and not so common ones - dog, cat, horse, turtle, fish, parrot, salamander. I forget what else. They have chunky handles which are easy for a toddler with minimal fine motor control to grasp and manipulate. The two stamp pads are big and easy for her to hit with the stampers. They could have a little more ink in them - you really have to press the stamper down hard on the pad a few times to get them totally saturated with ink. The ink is washable, which is a must with toddlers! In terms of durability, I see the foam animal shapes coming off the stampers at some point...but so far they've held up well.
On target. . We ordered the animal stamps for our son's 3rd birthday which were a HUGE hit! The stamps are big enough and the knobs provide easy control. Melissa and Doug do make more stamp pads if you desire more colors, but at this age, two is plenty ha.
Melissa & Doug Favorite Pets Stampers - ink pad dry . We just received the product yesterday and opened it right away. The blue ink pad was completely dry. Very disappointed. We do love the stamps. Very cute, perfect for our 31 months hand. He was able to apply even pressure and ended up stamping himself all over.
Perfect stamp set for tots! . This stamps set is perfect for ages 2 and up. The handles on the back of the stamps make them easy to hold.
Stamp pads are limited . The stamps are fun and easy to use for little ones, but the stamp pads dried up almost immediately. This was rather disappointing all in all.
Perfect 1st Set of Stamps . Another great item by Melissa & Doug to add to our collection! My 20 month old son loves these stamps! He loves naming the animals and taking them in/out of the box. The handles are the perfect size for his tiny hands! My only complaint is that you have to press pretty hard on the ink pad to get the color to transfer on to the stamp. I wouldn't say that the ink is exactly washable either... it's a pain in the butt to get the color out of clothing! Now I just put him in a play shirt or let him go shirtless, so it's not a huge deal, but it would have been nice to know beforehand! The ink does, however, wash off of skin and smooth surfaces really easily.
