Very small rocks . I ordered these thinking that the rocks would be each atleast a couple of inches in size. These are more like pebble crayons. they are great for small fingers I guess. But the size in the picture is misleading.

So glad we found these crayons! . We started with this 8 color bag of these soy based crayon rocks at the suggestion of a place in town that gives art classes for kids and have been so happy with them. The reason these are so good for our household is that these crayons force the child to hold them with their finger tips, they cannot hold them with a fist, and this is exactly what we have been hoping for to help train our 4 year old left handed child to hold writing utensils (and eating utensils) correctly. When given a regular crayon/colored pencil/marker she holds it with her fist and cannot color well within the lines or draw very fine, but with these crayons she has to use her finger tips and she can be more precise with her coloring and drawing. She notices the difference and wants to learn the correct way to hold things because she is so frustrated that she cannot draw/write as well as her right handed twin. So at her request we have now graduated to the 16 color bag. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED product.

Quite small . Like the other reviewer, I found these to be very small. They are small enough that you have to hold them in your fingertips, not in your fist. So they have to be used by a child with enough fine motor skills to do that.

Fun product . These are way better than triangular crayons for a toddler. They are relatively small so probably best for a 2+ year old.
