It is just alright . I was pretty excited to buy the Spiderman version for my son, 6, and my daughter, 5, the princess version. The quality of the product is worth the price. You get everything you need to make the comic minus the computer and printer. The kids were both excited to make their own characters and appear in the comic. We sat together and used a webcam to take the picture of their faces. You can also upload your own but I did not try this function. The picture is then transformed into a comic. Neither of the comics looked like my son or daughter. The technology is just not up to par.

This is a total farce! . I didn't buy this from Amazon, but I know these reviews get a lot of reads. So here goes...
This "Comic book" is false advertising. No matter what picture you "upload" the resulting comic character looks exactly the same until you "customize" it. You can start with no "uploaded" picture at all and get the same results. In fact you really don't "upload" a picture at all. I tried 4 different pictures. 2 different pictures of my Grand-daughter and 2 different pictures of my Grand-son. All the results were exactly the same if you don't "customize" them. When you "upload a picture it always takes at least a few seconds... Well, every one I "uploaded" was available instantly! This product is crap! I gave it a 5 star rating for "educational value" because it teaches you how low corporation will stoop to get your money!

Don't buy it.... . The access code for the book came used, so we couldn't use the coloring book. The pages all arrived blank and you have to download the story to a printer with the access code. Don't buy the book!
Hours of fun could be better . I agree with other reviews... the picture doesn't look like my son and it could be better. BUT, I still give it 4 stars because my son has been entertained for HOURS with this. He is 5 1/2 years old and LOVES Spiderman, loves drawing, and loves making his own books. You can print out as many comic books as you want, but they only provide paper and the "binding" for 3 books. But there are several stories you can print out and my son spent so much time coloring it. He didnt seem to notice or care that it didnt look like him. And normally he doesnt really like coloring books... he prefers plain paper that he can color whatever he wants. But he still enjoyed this. Note that you basically get colored pencils (they are nice though, the twistable kind), some basic printer paper, a few sheets of glossy paper, 3 bindings for your books and then a code to access everything online.
Crayola Story Studio Comic Maker Spiderman . One of the main selling points of this product is the ability to upload a picture of your child and have them appear in the story. We never saw the results from the upload, using the tools provided to touch up the upload are a total joke and the end product they produce have little or no resemblance to the original picture.The body features produced by the software do not take into account the age of the child, our grand daughter is 4 years old but the character which is supposed to be her has a body that a Victoria Secrets model would be proud of. This product will be assigned to the TRASH CAN.
Son liked it but "cartoon" wasn't very accurate. . This was fun but my son wasn't too impressed with how the picture didn't look much like him. But what can you expect from a coloring book I guess. Overall it was fun and he liked being able to personalize the coloring book a little.
Much better than expected . I was presently surprised when my 5 year old nephew opened this gift for Christmas. He loved it! I was pleased at the quaility and detail that this product has. It was educational, as well as fun. He was going to get to join spiderman in different adventures. This being a Crayola product, you know it will be good. I am looking forward to seeing the finished product myself. It will be a work of art!

ok product . We bought for my son for xmas. Its ok but it was hard to get into the. Crayola site to make the pics. Also. The pictures of yhe characters were goofy looking but w/e. Overall not bad.
So Cool! . I got my son and daughter their own and was surprised how cool this product was! Defiantly recommend it.. Great price also for all that you get and can use over and over!!
