Better than play-doh! . My son absolutely loves this stuff- it holds itself together well and we can easily make chains of rings and more intricate "sculptures" than we can with regular play doh. It's also not as crumbly, so its much easier to keep his play area clean. I'm not sure whether this is a plus or a minus, but my son can't open the container (and sometimes I can't either- it's tough!)
Beware though- it dries out fast, so keep it tightly closed in the container when not in use. If it gets a bit hard and dry, I usually can revive it by working in some water.

product received was NOT Model Magic Fusion . I purchased this primary color set as a gift for my nephew and didn't open it, so I can't comment on the quality of the product. I purchased what was labeled as "Model Magic Fusion" in the Amazon item title, but received only the "Model Magic" product. It did come in the tubs to help last longer, but the Amazon title of the product is misleading. There is a possibility that this is actually fusion product in old packaging, since it did not match the packaging design of the other fusion set I bought (secondary color 3-pack also from Amazon). The secondary color pack had the 3 tubs arranged in a triangle and said "fusion" on the box and the tubs, while the primary set had the 3 tubs arranged in a line and did not say fusion anywhere on the box or tubs. I just think it's strange that I received something different than I thought I was purchasing.
