Good color; not a durable case . The colored pencils I got as a kid ~30 years ago came in a cool tin container. I still have that tin and most of the pencils. I was hoping to get something similar for my daughter, who loves to draw and color. These are very good pencils. The color is much deeper than the Crayola pencils we had bought previously. I like the fact that they are less likely to roll off the kitchen counter. But I don't think the "case" is going to last more than a year or so. And there isn't a way to keep the pencil sharpener with the pencils. Good product, but not quite what I had hoped for.

It's moon sand...it is what it is. . It's moon sand, a newer staple for every house with children 5 and under. It's messy, but vacuums up and although sometimes it annoyingly gets into place you find years later, the kids have a blast. (and bonus that it is pink). So, but the big bag, because you will use it!

Made me nervous... but WORKED! . There were several minutes in the cooking process where I thought there was no chance these things were making it out looking normal... but we waited and waited and waited and then all of the sudden... Yay! They unfurled themselves and shrunk and looked totally great! Phew! Great project that I remember loving as a child. Happy to pass them along to my daughter :)

Daughter loves this . My 3 year old begs to do shrinky dinks. I like the Alex ones the best because they are pre-cut. It's a bit pricey for what you get but I can't find any better deals.

Shrinks . The kids love these!! They have had a blast coloring them in. My son wanted to start baking them in order to shrink them right away. He had the baking pan out and was ready to get going. A simple but fun process!

Shrinky dinks . It is always amazing how beautiful they come out of the oven! Set has quite a few pieces to keep a couple of kids busy.
Nice entertaining toy, easy to paint even for smaller children. Keeps them busy painting, amazed seeing them in and out of the oven, and busy again attaching strings and parading the new jewels around. I often buy as Birthday presents.

Yay for Shrinky Dinks! Boo for the price :( . I loved these as a kid and my kid loves them too, but I think the price is a little high for a just a few pieces in an over-sized box for what you get.

Make sure you leave them in the oven as per directions! . Fun to watch the little shapes curl up in the oven, then flatten out again. If I had not read the directions first, I might have taken them out too soon and been frustrated with the curled up edges. I hadn't done these since I was a kid myself and had forgotten just how much they actually shrink. The pre-punched hole in the shapes shrunk so much that it was difficult to fit the string from the kit through the holes. We made do with some other jewelry string we had in our craft drawer and added some of our own beads, too. My daughter loved it, and I had fun, too. Just make sure you read the directions first!

Great Idea! . I bought this toy for my 4 year old neice for Christmas and got a good laugh when it came. It is no where near as big as the video made it appear. It can not hold dolls as big as barbies, but it can hold accessories and smaller dolls. The little doll that came with it is adorable! Over all a good product but I was looking for more of a soft case to hold barbie dolls in. I did keep it and give it to her, though.

You'll Rebuy them Constantly but Won't Mind . I bought these for my twenty-two month cousin after he laid absolute waste to a 96-pack of regular crayons that I had lying about.

The first time I handed them to him, I noticed a definite improvement in his control and grip of the crayons. He never had actual difficulties with regular size crayons, but it was definitely easier for his toddler hands to grip these. So even if your under four year old seems to be doing well with regular crayons, it's worth buying a pack to see if there's a surprising improvement.

It's a pretty standard palette of primary and secondary colours, plus black.

Attempts to colour his clothes and himself have failed utterly, thankfully. He occasionally has coloured the floor tile or the kitchen table but it removed easily with a slight scuffing from a socked foot or a shirt sleeve over a hand. The one time he got to the wall, a quick scuff withMr. Clean Magic Eraser - 10-Count got it to come right off. So I'm not entirely sure you even need the washables.

All in all, these crayons aren't invincible - they will break, and probably quicker than you like. Not as quickly as the regular crayons, but I'm still sad to see them reduced to stubs.

But hey, for the price and happiness I got - it's a must for any toddler art set.

Love these crayons . Big and unbreakable! Love that! No messy little pieces of the crayons laying around. Perfect for my 2 yr olds little grip.

Great for those little hands . These crayons are great to use with our preschoolers and Kindergarteners. No more broken crayons!

great easel . My daughter got this easel for Christmas - almost 2 months ago. She loves this easel and uses it every day. It was very easy to put together and is very durable. She plays hard with it and it has been moved around alot. It is not wobbly at all. She loves to draw and write on the dry erase marker board and uses magnets to hang up coloring book pages on it to color. We put a pink "milk crate" under it to hold all of her supplies. Graet product at a great price!

Great Easel for my 6 year old. . Great quality easel for my 6 year old daughter. Pretty sturdy but not heavy or bulky. Good size for her small room but tall enough for her.

Great Easel but avoid M&D accessories . I think the easel is going to work great for my little one. It seems very sturdy and is really cute. I love that it is magnetic and the height is somewhat adjustable. However, if you are considering buying this through amazon do not purchase the Melissa & Doug Easel Accessory Kit with it. The paint cups do not fit in the easel's tray. It is listed under "frequently purchased together" and has a buy all three for a lower price, along with 3 paper rolls. The paper however will work with the easel. I just wanted to save the customers some money in returns, since it is not a defect item it cost about $10 to return the accessories and they cost about $28.
