An Entertaining Puzzle in an Attractive Package . This is a difficult but highly rewarding jigsaw puzzle. The illustration is complex, with just enough clues to help you out but plenty of repetition to keep you confused. Most of Boston's neighborhoods are shown. It was fun to see a sign for a restaurant that I went to in Boston fifty-six years ago. Finally, the package comes in a neat suitcase. Enjoy it!

Mic-O-Mic Locomotive - Build and then travel the country in your ?mic?o?mic? Locomotive. This friendly world of colors and shapes makes a wonderful world for a playful imagination. These build and play model kits have won dozens of awards for innovation and design.


Mic-O-Mic construction toys are designed and manufactured in Germany to CE (en71) standards.

The patented assembly system uses plugs and flexible clips. All the toys are colored yellow, green, blue and red, with the plugs being the same colors but the flexible clips are black to provide even more contrast.

There are no written instructions - just a few pictures to help you on your way. Because the plugs are such a tightly engineered fit, strong thumbs are needed to fully insert them, so younger children probably would need adult help with assembly.

Each kit comes with a plug extractor as it is almost impossible to remove the plugs without this tool.

The beginner models are suitable for 6-8 year olds and up to adults (many adults are avid collectors). The intermediate and advanced models are suitable for 8-10 year olds and up to adults.

These toys are designed to develop fine motor skills, cognitive skills, and interpersonal skills (help from friends and adults will create conversations about how to complete the assembly correctly).

They also give great visual tactile pleasure by the use of bright colors and by being so beautifully textured that they feel like wood instead of the heavy plastic of which they are made. There are no sharp corners or edges on which a child could cut themselves.

These look good, like small works of art, and are for play and display.

They comply with European safety standards CE / En71 so there is no lead and no phthalates.

Wonderful as a puzzle . I started assembling these things 3-4 years ago to take my mind off the stress at work, I have retired and still enjoy putting these together. This locomotive was quite difficult and very enjoyable. I have never been missing a piece and all pieces fit wonderfully where they are suppose too. They also fit other places as well, all the more fun and interesting. Not recommend for a first or even second attempt or for young children, too difficult.

Cons Review

Quality poor no longer made by Mic-o-mic . I just ordered four mic-o-mic items. Three of the four were missing/had the wrong pieces. I contacted mic-o-mic directly and they are no longer producing these toys. Two years ago the manufacture site was moved from Germany to China: mic-o-mic declined to be involved any longer, and the toys are now produced by Neat-oh. This totally explains why the quality has deteriorated. I attempted to assemble this locomotive despite the missing pieces and had to resort to pliers and a lot of force to get some of the parts to fit together. Definitely not for the age range indicated.

Awesome - as cool as it looks . This is awesome. It really works. My son can lay in his bed and draw on the wall from accross the room. And he loved to make a "mural" with the little stencil pads that came with it. We hung one pad at the head of his bed, and one accross the room so he could draw from a distance. I was pleasently surprised at how well this worked.

loved this toy . we got the glow system in and our son couldn't wait till it got dark to try it out so as soon as it did we set it up in his room witch was super easy and the fun began we sat with him in his room for an hr just playing and when he wanted to lay down we pulled out the glow to go system and he was able to lay down and play he had so much fun with both systems he completely fell asleep with wand in hand so needless to say this is a great toy and we are sooooo glad we got it ...it would make a great gift for any occasion no doubt even better when u go camping we haven tried it like that but u better believe we will asap...

Fun toy but sticky wall does not stick that well . Oh my son loved this toy. It workes great. He loved it so much he fell asleep with the pen in hand! I hung one wall on the ceiling and one on the other side wall to play. The dissapointing part was when the morning came both walls fell down. The next day they can barely stay up I have to pin them to the wall. Other than that it is a fun toy

Its fun just not mind-blowing . I have a 9 year old son who wanted this for Christmas. He talked about it all summer like it was the next best thing. So he received it for Christmas. He was very excited. When it came out of the box, the thick rubber-like papers were stuffed in there very tightly. The ends were curled in order to fit in the box and...to this day they are still curled. I imagine people are having issues with the self-stick because the paper is coiled in such a way that the pressure from mounting it to the wall is too much and it comes off. I'll just get to it:PRO'SWhen used in the dark, it is fun to come up with games like tic-tac-toe or drawing. You can even put multiple papers together to make a big canvas. Pen is decent and good quality. I like that it has two light features (wide and pinpoint). It is ergonomically nice and when the child holds it, it appears comfortable. CON'sThe fun lasts about as long as the light stays on the paper. For us, it's about 10 - 15 seconds. So tell me this: Look at the package in the picture. See how that kid has drawn intricate objects on the paper? THAT IS A LIE. There is no way the paper can hold the energy from the light long enough to finish a tic-tac-toe game, let alone drawing a Moon, Stars, UFO, Fence, Cow, Cowboy, Horse, 'With Light' and a shaded hand. NO WAY! I can't stand it when product makers do this. It's shady (pun intended) and it really irritates me when I see what it is supposed to look like only to have reality hit me. It reminds me of those fast food commercials where you see the juicy burger and thick tomato and special sauce only to receive a limp half-baked version of what it is supposed to be. This toy is just like that. They mis-represent the toy many times over. Reality is the light hits the paper and fades in about 5-10 seconds. The reason it gets 3 stars instead of 2 is that it is reusable and the kids do get SOME fun out of it. It's not quite a full-fail product and it will last many years. So perhaps if you purchase it for an older child and intend to hand it down, it is good for that. The paper is rubber like so I'm not sure how it "broke" for the other reviewers here. I think they got a dry version of it? Who knows. Overall...I say "meh" and move along...There are way better toys. Get a light bright or view master projector. Those are more fun.

Not wall friendly . I got this for my daughter to hang up in her room. We just have normal apartment walls. We hung the two adhesive papers on the wall for her to do the art on, but they will not stay up on the wall. The wall is clean, but they won't stick. We haven't found a wall yet that it will adhere to and stay. I'm very disappointed in this product.

Good night with a glow . It's easier to turn off the lights at night with this. At bed time my son and I write messages to each other, and even make his glow in the dark stars on the wall glow brighter.

of course its not like it looks on tv...... . my five year old was convinced that this would work like on tv. It doesnt. Its not easy to "draw" on the special paper that you have to use, it fades quickly and is rather small considering. The light is faint on the paper and you have to be virtually in a pitch black room to see what you are writing so that it looks like it does on tv. It was a christmas gift, so we are stuck with it, but my son was disappointed.

great fun . My grandson has so much fun being in the dark and drawing on the ceiling. He was very excited when he opened his gift and wanted to use it right away and continued to want to use it.

Overpriced . For a couple of pieces of paper and a glow pen this thing is seriously overpriced. My daughter played with it for maybe 5 minutes not very fun. You can't control the pen enough to really draw anything. Also I was supposed to receive two jumbo pages to draw on which might be better but instead we got 4 small pages. Waste of money...

Amazing . I bought this after my son seen it on tv & wanted it, I was a little nervous about buying it but after I got it & my son started playing with it I am soooooooooo glad I bought it. My son & all of his friends LOVE playing with it, they will play with it for many hours, doing different things with it. The BEST buy I have made for him!

Paint your own tea cups . My six year old received this gift from Santa. She got out it right away on Christmas and painted them on her own. She loved them! They were very durable. Cute toy but not as advertised . I bought this for my daughter's "Mad Hatter tea party" birthday. I am lucky I had extra brushes and paint, because while the product states it comes with both those items, it in fact, does not.

Make sure you have your own paint and brushes on hand, before purchasing this. But otherwise, it was a very cute set, and kept the kids occupied for a bit during the part before cake.

Mini is right . I bought this tea set for my grand daughter for her 6th birthday thinking it would be a fun project for the two of us. She loves crafts and loves to have tea parties so I could get a 2 in 1 deal. It is SO small and hard to paint. The picture on the box is impossible to duplicate unless you are maybe a 2nd year art student. After working on it for an hour together and both having our hands covered in paint from trying to hold the tiny cups and paint them we gave up. Something I thought would be a fun project is now sitting half done and most likely will stay that way. I have asked her if she wants to finish it and she said "No, it's not fun". Don't waste your money unless you want to do it yourself and have it sit on a shelf to look at. In no way is this durable for a child to have a tea party with. Sadly disappointed.

A great set . I got this set this morning and I already love it. I bought it with the intention of using it for my American Girl dolls, and its perfect. The scale is just right for any 18" doll, and having a blank canvas makes it easy to customize for any doll or theme. I paid $10 for this set, and that less than half the price of a set from American Girl.

Great face paints! . This pallet has such a great color selection. I do a lot of face painting, and I enjoy not having to mix colors to make a color. With this pallet I can work so much faster. The paint is nice to work with because I can paint with adding water to brush or quickly smear on color to the face with water and a sponge for a great effect. PERFECT gift for any Child...boy or Girl! . Purchased as a gift for my 8 year old daughter's birthday. She loves this! Easy to use and keeps her busy. It needs batteries only to operate a light, which, isn't a big deal, she isn't interested in the light, so it is a battery free and quiet machine. Hand crank..no scissor needed either! I didn't know that we would need to purchase additional clips,accessories in order for the spotz to hang from things. BUT they are super easy to find and are fairly cheap so I have now purchased the key chain and small purse.. I love that we can cut images from a magazine. She loves High School Musical, now she has cut out their faces from local ads and has all their faces in a spotz! She is having so much fun. Even my 3 year old made spotz all herself. It is rated 8 and up but actually with a watchful parent, any age can use it. They are constantly searching through magazines and ads to find potential spotz faces. Even in the car, a pile of old magazines will keep them busy as they know when they get home they can cut them out and create more spotz. GREAT price, GREAT product..I would give it 10 stars if that was possible! We now give Spotz Machines as gifts for birthday parties. Even my 15 year old niece enjoys this machine. All of my daughters friends love these spotz too! They use them like trading cards at school. She comes home with different spotz from her friends every week. The art teacher has now even purchased a few of these for her classroom. She has been using the spotz as an award system.. The uses are really endless with this fun toy! The machine is fun but you can also pop these spotz together by hand. I have grabbed a handful of these spotz to keep the girls busy on quick trips to the store, etc. They were even using them to play tic-tac-toe the other day. This is just absolutely the BEST toy! 12 year old delighted . I purchased this for a 12 year old girl.....not related. She started playing with it immediately after opening. She was making "buttons" on and off all day - and handing them out. The only "bad" part is that there are not enough designs or holders in the original purchase which I was not aware of. So now Ihave to order more of these after the fact. Otherwise this is a fun project toy for boy or girl. Even her 21 year old brother was playing with it. She is very artistic and was drawing her own designs also.

Kids love it . I think it's kind of junky but my 5 and 6 yr old girls love it. The thing that cuts it into a circle is jamming but that's the most annoying thing about it (that and the girls fight over who gets to use it next).

The end result is fun and they really enjoy it.

I found some accessory packs on clearance at Target and Wal-Mart. Now I noticed no one carries them at all. What's up Zizzle? This product seemed to be a new item for Christmas '07, now you can't find accessory packs to prolong the fun! I'm getting tired of useless toys....1 star for poor planning on the part of the manufacturer!!!

Good kit minor flaws . The pros:- perfect cast material is highly durable
- educational pamphlet is well doneThe cons:- directions for measuring the correct plaster amount are misleading
- supplied magnets are not strong enough to support larger size pieces on fridge
(refers to Velociraptor kit)
- no glaze is provided to cover finished pieces

Fun to paint but wouldnt buy again . Fun for the kids to paint but not very durable. 2 broke almost immediately. Glue that is supposed to hold magnet on back didn't.

Easy & Clean!!! . I was always a little iffy about this new technology and way of coloring, being a long time artist, I have never been one to fear messy fingers and spilled paint. That is until my one year old son took interest in mom's markers! Although color options are limited, and the age range is 3 and up, my one year old LOVES this. And I'm not always over his shoulder saying "No no No!"

No more scrubbing floors and walls! And he can color when ever he wants! Plus I have noticed that the markers do not dry out very easily. I find markers with no caps under toys and furniture at the end of the day and they still work. I will certainly continue to purchase this product, till my son understands that coloring only goes on paper!

My daughter loves the color wonder sound studio! . It's a great product. I just wish there were more products that went along with the Color Wonder Sound Studio. It's the sheets that comes with the sound studio or Toy Story and that's it. Also I don't think the sound cards exactly match up to the coloring sheets. But it doesn't make a difference to my daughter...she loves it anyway!

Does what it is supposed to. . We ordered this as a Christmas present for my two-year old daughter. She loves to color and these Crayola Color Wonder items are great because they only color on the paper. Although I'm sure she's perfectly happy with the "Sound Studio" aspect of the toy, I'm not so sure we needed more sound making toys. But that's not Crayola's fault.

great for the "little" painters . My 4 year old granddaughter loves to paint, but it usually presents itself as quite messy. These turned out to be the best! I found that the 10 pack of Crayola washable paints is a perfect match for these cups. They are definitely spillproof and actually larger than I expected.

Mom2sassypants . These are air tight, the lids snap tight so they don't seem to spill if tipped over, and they are a sturdy plastic. Fit well in our easel tray. I am happy about this purchase.

Nice and big! . These hold a lot of paint! The cover is a screw off top, but it also has a lid that clicks closed. The lid forms a slight funnel shape, which cuts the height of the cup slightly, but like I said, they are a nice big size. I will definitely buy these again.

Good for larger groups. . I purchased this set for my at home arts and crafts time with my two kids aged 1.5 & 3 years old. They seem great, but I haven't really used them yet, because they are so LARGE. A regular container of Crayola brand washable paint would just barely cover the bottom layer of the cup. I think this would be better served with a larger group, and perhaps poster paints or something like that. For my needs, I will stick with Dixie cups.

Missing Lids . I believe that this will be a quality and useful product from my young daughter...when I get all the pieces! I received 10 cups, but only 5 of the lids! I will be following up with the company to get a complete set.

GREAT for classroom use! . I LOVE these!!!! No more spilled paint!!!! I just stick a new brush in and the kids are good to go in the painting station. Then refill as needed. The kids actually "helped" me make the teal paint for that cup. Love, love, love!

Good paint cups . I bought these to go in my toddler son's easel tray. They were too big, so my husband had to build a new easel tray. Other than that, these have been perfect.

Paint Pots . They were a great find. Price was good and product was exactly what we were looking for! The do not spill and they are easy to clean. Very sturdy and unbreakable!!! Will be ordering more in the future!

Cons Review

Not all they are made out to be . I received these paint cups and they were so wedged together that we couldn't pull them all apart. They also had a very over powering chemical smell. I wouldn't want my children touching these. Went back immediately. For those of you who it matters to: it is made in china.
