cast an animal kits . the animals once casted & painted are more for flat display the stand-up display & play. Mom did the casting part for 5 & 8 year olds then they painted. Horse legs seem to be thiner then rest of horse so when taken out of mold will probably break off. Still a great idea & kids will enjoy.

Fun to do with the kids . Ordered this product to use for my son's 6th birthday party. We are going to have each kid dig up a set of bones at the party. So far the product has been fun to do with my 5 soon to be 6 year old. The molds actually turned out very nice and when done looked much better then I expected.

Fun Product . I purchased this casting kit for my son for his birthday and he absolutely loved it. And it was very easy for him to do and not messy at all. The entire product is just a few simple steps to getting the casts ready for painting which he loved. The kit comes with a magnet strip to glue to the back of the finished dinosaur to be put on the fridge or wherever a magnet will stick to. I'm going to buy him more of these kits for Christmas.

My kids loved this set! . We live in southwestern South Dakota, about an hour from Mount Rushmore. My husband works for the park service and occasionally works at Rushmore, so my kids are really into "the presidents," as they call them. They are 3 1/2 years old and received this kit as a gift. I know the age range is 6 and up, but they loved it! They were a a little impatient to wait for it to set and dry enough to paint, but once it came out of the mold they were so excited. It dropped and broke into two pieces but that seemed to be better since they could each play with one piece. They used ALL the paint on it, so it looked messy and gloppy, but they didn't care. Afterward they played with the two pieces for a few days before I got tired of little pieces breaking off and threw it out. I am going to buy one of these sets for a friend's birthday since we enjoyed it so much. Would definitely recommend.

Good kit minor flaws . The pros:- perfect cast material is highly durable
- educational pamphlet is well doneThe cons:- directions for measuring the correct plaster amount are misleading
- supplied magnets are not strong enough to support larger size pieces on fridge
(refers to Velociraptor kit)
- no glaze is provided to cover finished pieces

Fun to paint but wouldnt buy again . Fun for the kids to paint but not very durable. 2 broke almost immediately. Glue that is supposed to hold magnet on back didn't.
