Great Creative Toy . I got one of these for each of my little girls and they both loved decorating them. They painted, glued, wrapped in ribbon.... Very creative. Now they have an extra special toy that they created themselves.

excellent . I might be buying this a couple times a year for my 3 year old daughter because she really loves it, and loved making it! Great paint, great brush, pretty colors, and in the end it's unique and one of a kind! Great gift idea too! Of course I knew she would love it before I bought it because she loves to paint.

Fun quick well made project.. . My daughter loved the art project. It's a quick fun, well made product. She did a great job at age 4.

A quick project but a longterm toy . The building/designing time on there DYO's are not long, they are perfect for a 6 year old's attention span and my daughter has loved building each of these we have purchased. She loves the ability to design it just the way she wants it and it is a joy to just sit back and watch her do it. The fun doesn't stop after it has been built either, it is still a princess wand and can now be used in imagination play. This means it provides creative time in the design phase as well as imagination time following that.

OK for older child . I got this as a gift for my three-year old niece and I think it was probably a mistake to get it for someone so young. It held her attention long enough for her to make a smeared mess of the paint on it, and I doubt she will play with it anymore after the paint job.
Fantastic . My niece loved it! She is only 3 and had a great time decorating it (with her mom's help). She uses it all the time as her fairy wand. Great project for younger children to do with help. I am going to get her another one again this year and probably every year after, so she can decorate it different as she grows up.
Fun arts & crafts project . My 3 y/o is going through her "princess" stage so this was a perfect gift. I'm always impressed by the high-quality of products M&D is able to provide at such a reasonable price. The wand took us a few days to complete, which was educational & fun with all the glitter glue & sticker options. It was nice to teach her how patience is a virtue, as we waited overnight for one-side to dry before decorating the other. The glitter glue & wood parts seem durable, so we're all happy :)
Great for little princesses! . I bought these wands for my 2 and 4 year olds to make for their halloween costumes this year. They had so much fun painting them and putting glitter and stickers on them! They are also suprisingly durable! My two year old has smacked hers and dropped it and everything has stayed on! We did actually use the glue to glue the stickers on for more staying power. I would highly recommend. My girls have been having fun running around casting little fairy spells with their new magic wands!! Making your own seems to add to the magic!
Very Cute and Fun . I got this as a gift and it is adorable. I think it is something most kids would have to have their parents help them with....especially if you want the wand to end up as cute as the one in the picture :-) But I think it was well made and encourages artistic play as well as creativity as far as "dress up play" also
Crafty Princess . My 3 year old received this wand for Christmas. She wanted to put it together immediately but I held her off until we had a day of nothing to do. She easily decorated it. The jewels have stayed on w/ the glue it came with. The glitter and ribbon added the final touch. It's a simple cute craft idea for young ones that they can then use as a toy. I recommend this Melissa & Doug wand.
