Stir the imagination! . I purchased this for my 5-year-old son as a Christmas present and it was one of the best choices I made. Not only does he love drawing pictures and recording stories (and songs), but its lightweight profile has made it a must have for travel. We took it on the plane, into restaurants (with the rule that no playing with the recorder at the table), etc.

Make sure you get a new one! . The item I received had obviously been used and returned. The edges of the toy were a little scratched and worn and all of the pieces had been put in the box without any kind of packaging. Still waiting on the replacement.
