Coloring fun . Twistables in general are great--long lasting, non-breaking, less mess, easy to hold due to the longer size. This set includes a mix of shades that include ultra bright hues, metallic sheens, and 4-color mixes in one crayon. They are great fun for the kids to use and perfect for my son's many robot drawings. This crayons are relatively expensive compared to regular crayons but worth it due to the above features--the price on amazon that we paid was comparable to that found in stores.

Daughter loves them . My 7 year old daughter loves these crayons, they are her favorite for coloring now. The special effects look OK to me, but she likes them because it makes unique-looking drawings.

It's just ok . My kids (4 & 6) have a pack of old twistable cayons which some were broken, so I bought this one to give them more colours. However they always like to go back to the old ones. I guess it's because this one's colours are not as pretty as the old ones and the fun effect ones doesn't come out pretty either.

crayons fell apart . Quality is very poor. Within 2 uses, the crayon slid out of the holder and was unusable. My kids, 4 and 7, are normally very gentle on their toys so it is not a matter of misuse.
Fun colors kids loved them. . Great effects with these crayons. All of them are so fun to play with. The kids loved them. I wish we had these growing up !
Great Crayola Product . For children who love to color these are great crayons. No paper to tear away, twist feature and color combinations are wonderful for budding artists. Very creative and fun way to get kids to color.
Great unbreakable crayons . I was so tired of having broken crayons all over the house, but these are fantastic. Easy to handle, hard to break.
Oh Snap! . I bought several sets of these for my 4-year old twins to replace the crayons they have stripped and broken over the past couple years. I thought that they'd be old enough to take care of these...but I did not anticipate my one little engineer, rolling up the crayons and snapping off the thin crayon at the base, rendering them pretty useless. I can stick the stem of crayon back in the tube, but it doesn't stay and I don't believe that young children will want to make that effort.Other than that, these crayons are great. I'd think about the maturity of your child before purchasing though, or you may end up with a box of useless crayons bits like I did.
Great for smaller kids . These are perfect for my 22 month old girl. They are also great for our 8 month old who picks up the crayons our 22 month old drops. They are longer, don't break and are less of a choking hazard for little ones. Our 22 month old snaps the regular crayons like crazy. I just don't like having all those little pieces around as potential hazards.
Fun Crayons . I bought these for my five year old's birthday, and so far, he loves them. He really likes the rainbow ones in particular.
