It's sand and plastic bottles . For some odd reason my grandson saw sand bottles in a school book order flyer and showed it to everyone he could think of. He's 4 and was absolutely thrilled when he got this for xmas. I didn't give it 5 stars because of the poor quality of the plastic bottles. For the price it was a good deal for a 4 year old. An older child would probably prefer better quality bottles.

Fun . This is the second kit my daughter (7) requested. She has fun doing them however it would be great if the openings were a little wider so you can be more creative with them. There is enough sand to fill all the jars.

it is what it is . exactly what i expected. nothing special, but it does what it needs to do. my neice had a great time making her colorful sand creations.
