Good kit for younger kids but results were disappointing. . This kit is an easy intro to tie dye for younger kids. It comes with strings that have the die in them, you tie them around the fabric and immerse in hot water. Easy to do, but we found the intensity of the die colors to be disappointing. The colors were more pastel than saturated. The kids all had a good time doing the activity however, and it's safe since it doesn't require smelly dies and rubber gloves.

Fun Project Fascinating Results Kids Loved It! . I have never tie-dyed anything in my life, and so this was quite the adventure. My two children, ages 10 and 7 were fascinated with the process of tying the colored strings on the shirt and then immersing the shirt in hot, salted water. The first shirt that we did according to the manufacturer's instructions turned out a bit pale, as the previous reviewer stated. The next shirt we made sure that the water was really hot (we microwaved it) and increased the incubation time to 30 minutes and it really turned out beautiful! The increased incubation time slightly increased the blending of the colors and so if you want pure colors, you might want a time somewhere between the 15 minutes and our 30 minute success. Overall, we were thrilled with our results, although the kit only made two shirts. It seems easier than the rubber gloves and buckets that the other kits describe. Overall, the kit was fun and with a little modification, produced beautiful results!

Easy creativity . My granddaughters have gone on a tie-dying rampage. After they found out how easy this method was to use on t-shirts, they have expanded their collection with pillow cases, socks and head bands. This is also very easy to clean up after. This is a very good choice for summer fun.

Fast Easy Fun . Bought this kit for an xmas gift and just got around to using it. I have never tie dyed anything and this was super easy, non messy and fast. My daughter(6) and I made the heart shaped pillow, we each did one side and the results look pretty cool for amateurs. There are enough strings to make several more items. Good Value.
