Cool kit . This kit is pretty well made. It has all you need to star "silk screening" on paper (and a bandana) right away. You can get cheap t-shirts and bags at a craft store to have something more to silkscreen on.
The kit is very easy to use and the results are pretty good, of course, the older you are and the more adult help you get, the better. But my 7yo can do it by herself (with mixed results).
As often with Michael products, I think it's too expensive for what it is - but I'd buy it again.

It actually works! . Wasn't sure what to expect from a toy screen printing machine, but this actually worked! We were able to decorate a T-shirt with designs from the stencils enclosed in the kit, without too much difficulty. The results were quite good, considering the simplicity of this device. The screen printing inks included in the kit make a sharp, clean imprint that looks quite nice. Basically, it's a small, plastic frame, and you load it with a small rectangle of silk, and place a plastic stencil underneath. Then, you just apply the inks with a little rubber squeegee. Couldn't be simpler! The only thing that was a little tricky was that the frame didn't immobilize the silk on all four sides, only at the two ends, so you have to be careful when you apply the ink and make sure you only draw the ink across the frame in one direction, otherwise the silk comes out of the frame. It comes with rectangles of heavy, coated paper that you can use to create your own stencils, also. Everyone was amazed that we could create such cool-looking designs with this smple device! It was easy enough to use that my 7-year-old could make T-shirts with minimal assistance, and she learned about printmaking, and created some really nice designs.

Hours of Fun! . My 8 year old loves this, only problem is she wants screen print everything in the house. So I recomend that you have plenty of items on hand for them to use.

Lots of Fun . This toy is so much fun. My daughter got it for Christmas and we have already made a t-shirt, loads of $1 dish towels and the bandana that was included. Easy clean up in the sink. I think I have as much fun as she does. She is 6 and can do it by herself (with just supervision).
Not a good fit for most boys... . My son really really wanted to paint t-shirts, so I couldn't resist getting this for him for Christmas, even though a girl was pictured on the box. He got over it, but was dismayed to see the pink and purple inside. Unfortunately all the stencils are also very very 'girly' and though he had a great time painting puppy prints across a tshirt, there's not much else he was willing to do with it that he'd be able to wear to school. I'm disappointed to find that the refill kit is also filled with girly stencils. I'm not normally concerned with gender-specific items, but my son truly does not want flowers, butterflies or hearts all over his shirts. If he did, I'd be all for it. But he doesn't. We'll be looking for stencils he would be able to use with this (Alex toys don't seem to make any) and maybe creating our own. I'm glad I got this during a gold box deal, or it would have been waaaayyy too much money. He did say he would love to make gifts for his (girl) cousins with it, so at least there's that. :/ Oh well.
Poor design . We received this as a gift and the silk pieces are too narrow and can't be tightened with the frame. The product is unusable because it doesn't work unless the silk is secured. This is a horrible design. So disappointing.
Fun toy. . Given as a gift to my 8 year-old niece and she loves it. Practiced on a sheet of card stock first.
Cons Review
This is a fun toy. My 5 year old granddaughter had tons of fun with it. . Although my daughter worked with my granddaughter on this "project", I heard all about it and saw the results of the silk screening. The toy is very creative and I would buy it again for my other grandchildren.
