Excellent ease of use! . I got this book for my son's 5th birthday party. It was a huge hit. Multiple parents used it to paint on different kids. There were simple pictures, whale, flowers, kitty, cupcake, etc with 3-steps to paint them on the hand or cheek, it was very easy to do it. With no or little experience with paints, every one was able to paint perfect on kids little faces.

Makes you look like a pro! . Fantastic product. The paints combine easily and dry quickly. They stay on for quite a while but wash off easily. The instructions and great examples make you look like a pro with no practice and little effort. Big hit with my kids, ages 7, 3 and 3 and all their friends. I get asked to face paint almost every day! I can see that it will serve us well for future birthday parties. It will also be fun for going to games as a spectator or to paint a soccer ball on my daughter's cheek before her next soccer game. Good for boys or girls. Excellent!

Creative Fun! . My daughter received this kit for Christmas and it was instantly a hit. She painted the faces and hands of everyone in our family. The book gives a lot of ideas and several step-by-step illustrations of how to create popular designs. The paints are vivid, dry quickly, and come off easily with a baby wipe and some face wash. Face painting is great open-ended play for kids.

My Nephew was allergic . I read all the reviews and the content of the paint> I thought it was really safe to use however my nephew and this could just be him, broke out in small bumps only in places where the paint was applied. Needless to say I would no recommend this for highly sensitive skin. on a lighter note the instructions were great i would recommend maybe just getting a book with instructions.

Great product for body coloring . My daughter got these over a year ago. She loves drawing with them. It's a great product, but the reason for the 4 stars is that they do get on light colored clothing. They're not messy like the other body art products, but if you have light colored clothing on, the colors will rub onto the clothes. However, I've never had any clothing get stained because of the crayons. It all comes out in the wash.

Great ideas but paint smears . I was very excited to see a face painting product that my children could use to paint on each other without water. Unfortunately, the crayons never dry out once applied to the body. The paint remains smeary even hours later and the black and red paints stain furniture and clothing. Ultimately, a good idea, poorly executed.

best face paint kit! . Hi. I saw that this product had only one less-than-stellar review so decided to put in my own two cents.
I love this product. These crayons are so much easier to use than the palette-type face painting kit also available by Klutz. The crayons are easier to control and the pigment is more opaque on the skin. It's also a lot neater to use the crayons since a brush is being dragged from one palette of face paint to another, muddying the colors. My kids (3) and pals liked to draw on their hands and arms and these were perfect for that. I never buy or recommend any other set now. I am so happy I can get them here on Amazon!

Cons Review

Fun times! . Bought this on a whim. It was a great find. My kids love to paint their faces and bodies but I don't like the mess of pallette paints and markers can be hard to wash off. The book has fun ideas for hand puppets and faux jewelery. There is a sharpener provided and the crayons have lasted a while now. I haven't paid attention to the rubbing off and if it has then the kids have cleaned it up or it has been washed out of clothes so I don't see that as a con to the product. The colors are pretty and they are easily applied. The directions suggest lotioning the area before applying as it makes the crayons work better but I know that the kids skip that step usually.

Worth it! . I bought this body art kit over 6 months ago for my 5 year old daughter. Both she & my 3-year old use it often. They love to create & draw on each other. I know when the product is out because the giggling never stops! It is also a great quiet time activity for the oldest! I am now buying a second kit for my niece for Christmas. The crayons wash off with soap & water. I have not had a problem with them rubbing off on the furniture.

Great fun for little ones! . My kids LOVED this when they were younger! The beads are the right size for little hands (large) and the kids love creating the images in the book! These are not available in any stores that I have found. They are the larger beads than are in the store, which little kids have a hard time picking up and placing on the templates.

Great fun for a 3 year old . My son got this kit for his third birthday. He immediately started making the projects in the book independently, with very little supervision (minus the ironing, of course!) This is a great activity that encourages fine motor skills and attention to detail. My house is now full of my little one's "creations". The only problem is that this kit doesn't contain enough beads of each color to make all of the projects in the book. We had to substitute colors, and now I'm looking to buy more beads of this (larger) size. Also, make sure you iron the projects on both sides. If you only do one side, they will likely fall apart. Overall, great fun toy, 5 stars.

I have even had adult friends (from other countries) who have never made these think they were fun! It is hard to make one that DOESN'T look good, and it isn't like you wind up with a huge project that you wonder what to do with when it is done!

LOVE! . A friend gave my 4 yr old boy this gift. I LOVE IT! He will actually sit still for an hour making creations. It is a great way to get through winter months. Make sure you iron on both sides to make it more durable.

So fun I bought one for myself! . This kit is so much fun. It has "Shrinky Dink" type paper, the jewelry findings, cord for necklaces and hundreds of beautiful designs to choose from. All you do is choose a design, place the shrink paper (which is transparent) on top of it, trace and color in! You can use the designs in so many different ways, you will never run out of ideas for this. My 12-year-old daughter received this kit last year as a gift, and the whole family loves it! I have a 6-year-old boy as well, so finding things that we all can do together and enjoy are rare. This kit fills the bill. My son likes to write his name and shrink it to make a necklace. He also just enjoys tracing and coloring in the designs that come with the kit. This year, we made tiny Christmas ornaments from the Chinese Lantern design template, colored them in Christmas colors, and hung them on a tiny tree. My daughter and I make fun medallion pendants, earrings and bracelets. She and her friends have fun every time they get it out. Easy flying machines! . My 6 year old received this for Christmas last year and we are still making planes out of it almost daily. He loves it because the planes are easy to fold (instructions are illustrated and written, after being shown a time or two he is now able to make every plane in the book without help) and fly GREAT! I love it because the planes are easy to fold and do not require glue,cutting or an odd size paper to complete. We were first introduced to this particular paper airplane book (we own several) at the Children's Museum, and it by far is the best airplane book we have found!

Great for kids and other family members . Gave it to my 8 year old Nephew Phil and he loved it. Lots of planes to make up and his parents hadn't shown him before how to make paper planes from left over printer paper. So this was fabulous for him and he was very happy and grateful for a wise Uncle and Aunt who selected the gift for him. Klutz make great products and this one could appeal to all ages. Phil has a fifty year old Uncle who would probably appreciate it as well. Model airplanes run in the family so even his Rotarian Grandfather would appreciate the odd plane to make of his vintage. I purchased this online and had it shipped and was very pleased, as usual, that Amazon got it delivered without problems. There are enough planes for one day for a whole year although there doesn't seem to be instructions on where you keep them once made and they don't unfold back into the book. Never mind. I guess it can't be re-gifted like a certain Uncle might do. So, I fully recommend this product, it is a lot of fun and ideal for all members of the family. I'm kind of hoping Phil will send me one in the mail to me. Is there a Concorde in there or maybe an A380?
