Excellent quality and they smell good too! . These are the first crayons I have bought for my 14-month-old. Bought them based on others' reviews and have not been disappointed. They smell like honey from the beeswax, which I love. And they can be used from any angle, which my daughter appreciates. Vivid colors. Recommended.

LOVE these! . We have so much fun with these. Our children have used them since they were tiny, and I realized these crayons spoiled them when they tried Crayolas and said there was something wrong with those. The blocks are almost unbreakable. You would really have to try hard to break them. We use them along with the stick crayons which are also sturdy but more easy to break. The beeswax fragrance is only really noticed if you get up close and sniff. They are lovely crayons. Enjoy the treat, but be warned, you may not go back to anything else. The good thing is these will outlast regular crayons.

Stockmar Beeswax Block Crayons - Set of 8 Opinions
smaller than expected but perfect for toddler and adult hands alike! . I've heard so much buzz about these crayons from Montessori blogs and art websites, that I finally decided to try them when the price got down to $18.99. I have a 1 year old who's just learning to color, and I wanted something for her that was easy to hold, had great color saturation and transferability (so she wouldn't have to push too hard to actually get a mark on the paper), as well as something that wouldn't break.
So far, these crayons have fulfilled that and more. They have a dreamy, saturated-but-still-translucent color to them. They transfer to the page effortlessly, yet the crayon never seems to show any wear (awesome!). I was a bit surprised at how small they were--they're not tiny, but I guess I was expecting something the length of a pack of gum, whereas these are 45% shorter than that (so, imagine something a little more than 1/2 the length of your average pack of gum--the old fashioned, long, thin sticks-of-gum kind). They're actually an awesome size, though, as I discovered when I and my daughter started using them--they're very easy and comfortable to hold and to use from any angle (using the corners, sides, etc).
My daughter can easily hold them and since there are no annoying paper wrappers or easy-to-break-off ends/points, she gets more immediate, positive feedback when she puts the crayon to paper. I'd previously been using some $1 crayons with her, and they required so much force and coordination to get color onto the page that she got annoyed with them very quickly.
The crayons come in a beautiful, perfectly sized tin, perfect for gifting (I've since given these as gifts).
I can't recommend these more highly--the colors are great, they're amazingly fun to use, and they last and last and last....though it took me over a year to get up the nerve to spend this much on crayons, I'm SO glad that I did!

Awesome Crayons . These quality beeswax crayons feel good in the hand as the colour flows onto the paper. Especially perfect for little hands but an excellant medium for older ones as well. No worries of broken points.
Utilize the shape to create a variety of shading designs in ways stick crayons could never accomplish.
I love the feel smell and ease of use. No other crayons can compare!
Stockmar wax crayons meet the highest artistic standards. Through the addition of pure beeswax as a binding agent, the light-resistant pigments display their purity and full brilliance.
Because they are mixed with wax, the colours are able to be used in a wide range of interesting colouring techniques - more than any other colouring material. The natural transparency of the wax and the lack of additives result in a high degree of opacity like that of watercolours.
Stockmar quality is controlled reliability and are harmless to your health and the environment.

So Lovely . These Stockmar Beeswax Block Crayons really are lovely. The little rectangular squares give my son opportunities to be creative with the different types of colorful strokes he can create with the edges, broad sides, and corners of the blocks. They're the perfect size for his little hands that haven't quite mastered the pencil grip (I'll get the Stockmar stick crayons when he's ready). They were great for this past summer's plane trip, where he was able to color without the crayons rolling off of the backseat tray. He was delighted, too, that he could use them as stacking blocks. The portable tin makes them a fantastic addition to the diaper bag to keep a squirmy kid busy in waiting rooms or at restaurants. I can't say enough about how much I love these crayons!! Oh, and they smell nice, too!
EXCELLENT . I love this product the quality and the company that makes them. All of their products are great. These are wonderful crayons for any age and you can create beautiful artwork with them. Great for your children and you too.
High quality and safe for little ones . I was skeptical based on the price, but I couldn't be happier with these crayons. I bought them for my 15 month old who is still in the "taste everything" phase. After a quick taste she realized they were much better for drawing than eating. Her little hands have no problem controlling the bricks and she loves to create masterpieces with these highly pigmented beauties. Mommy has fun coloring with them too. Great crayons if you are trying to avoid toxins found in the more mainstream brands found in the big box stores.
Beautiful colors! . Bought these for my 18 month old... fits right in her little hand and she goes wild coloring! The colors are amazing! Since they are blocks, she loves to stack them and knock them down.. so I guess it's a multi-purpose product! I had bought toddler-sized crayons from Crayola and she didn't seem to enjoy them as much as these - so it is worth the price tag. Since the Crayola ones are still pencil shape (just bigger), she didn't understand how to hold them and would grab them from the very tip. Since it's not a very good grip, the crayon would fall and she'd give up. The only reason why I didn't rate it a full 4 stars is because it is a bit difficult to wipe off. I do understand it isn't marketed as washable crayons... but I didn't expect it to be that difficult to scrub off of tables, walls, etc... other than that.. I love them!
So nice. . These crayons are so nice. The color goes on so smooth, and they have a great feel to them. They smell awesome as well. They are the perfect size for my 20 month old. You could easily melt down some regular old crayons to make the same square shape, but then that kind of takes away from my main motive for purchase.. the more environmentally friendly and healthier aspect. My daughter thinks that they are great, and mom approves!
Great item great delivery just in time! . I fully recommend people with little kids to buy this product. It is safe for them since it is really non-toxic and it is easy for little kids to grab the crayons easily. My kid is having a lot of fun with them!
The product arrived on time, even before than expected, without complications. I just wonder if the size of the box and crayons is mentioned somewhere? I expected them to be bigger.
