does the job . I did this project with my grandson, who just turned 5. He just slapped on some paint, then glued the thing together. I don't know if he plays with it; I only see him about once every 6-8 weeks. The whole project didn't take much time. He seemed to enjoy it but then when he saw the more "fancy" paint jobs illustrated on the carton, he seemed disappointed with what he had done. Perhaps if I were more artistic myself I could have guided him better. Overall we had a fun time doing this, but I think it amounted to a half-hour's worth of fun. For the price, I'm not sure it's a great investment --- at least for a 5-year-old.
