Giant Paper fFowers . Absolutely wonderful project...the same one I had as a child growing up in the late 60's early 70's. I orignally bought this to do with my 5 1/2 year old and dscovered it's a little to difficult for that age, but have enjoyed the hell out of doing it myself. Fab colors and endless hours of fun for ADULTS as well as children.

Not that great... . Okay, so, tissue paper is thin to begin with ... but the paper included with this item is extra thin and constantly rips. Very frustrating. We've wasted more paper than made flowers. Ended up buying our own tissue paper to use with the other included supplies.

so disappointed . I do home daycare made the purchase for the kids to make paper was so thin I even tore it while trying to make flowers would not recommend!!

Great Gift! . I would suggest this gift for any girl aged 5 -8! I bought this for a 5 year old girl and it was the hit of her birthday party. She wanted to make them right away, it ended up to be a project for her and her friends right away. Very easy to make!!

Cons Review
Best craft for a girls' play date! . This craft is always a big hit when my 8-year-old daughter has her friends over. Makes beautiful, colorful paper flowers that you will want to display anywhere in your house.
Pretty flowers if you're very careful . My seven-year-old granddaughter was unable to make these flowers even though they are simple because the paper is too fragile. I was able to though by modifying the directions. The tissue is pretty colored and has various styles of scalloped edges. You can use the sets as offered or put together combinations of colors and edges that suit you, however if you fold them in the inch wide folds as instructed, you won't be able to separate the sheets without tearing. I folded them in 1/2 inch or less sections which helped a lot, but still I had to be careful separating the leaves.
The included pipe cleaners which are to be doubled over the center of the folded sheets and twisted to secure them are long enough to work into a nice stem for various purposes and once I made the flowers, my granddaughter loved using them for various kinds of play. She was just disappointed that she couldn't make them herself and so was I. I was hoping for an activity that would engage her and leave me free to do some chores, but this wasn't it.

NOT for the under 8 year set! . I'd seen the reviews both here and elsewhere that younger children
could easily create this and decided to try it out with my five year old.
While I do agree that in the end,the flowers are very cute,the process to
getting there is well,VERY annoying.
- If you don't properly line up the paper
when folding,it is practically impossible to stretch out.(NOTE:five year olds
are not great at lining up paper perfectly!)
- If you don't slowly and VERY carefully pull the paper apart to "fluff"
the flower,the paper rips and it is a disaster. (NOTE: five year olds are
not good at "carefully" and "slowly" pulling multiple pieces of thin paper
apart!)
-If you don't follow the directions,or understand them,you're going to have
a very blue little one and it does take a bit of patience to figure out at first.
The words like "fluff" do not really easily tell me what I am supposed to do.
In the end,if you have a child under 8, this is a great craft for them to sit
and watch you figure out and make for them.hah.

Paper Bleeds . I have three little girls and we make paper flowers frequently. I purchased this kit to have for a birthday party - less prep! I was so disappointed when the girls' fingers turned blue, purple, green, pink... as did my table and anything else the flowers touched.
Love this for both child and adults! . I bought this product for my 8 year old girl and she absolutely loves it. I enjoy making the flowers with her and I am an adult! This product makes a great gift and is loads of fun.
