Not 101 colors . This crayon carousel is kind of a mixed bag. I bought a box of 24 Cra-Z-Art crayons for $0.19 and was very pleased with them so I decided to get the 101 carousel. I got mine at Walmart and paid $2.00 more than Amazon's $6.99 price because I did not want to wait to get them. However, I was disappointed to learn that 30% of the crayons are repeat colors--out of 101 crayons 31 are repeats. I was debating on this set or the Crayola telescoping set and went with this one because it has a nice cover for the carousel and the negative reviews for the "telescoping" mechanism. The carousel does not spin, but has small dividers between each crayon so when you remove a crayon to use it the others do not fall over. I am unhappy with the actual number of colors as I could have bought a box of 64 for around $3, but the case is pretty decent with a hard plastic lid that locks in place(it could use a handle, though).
