It's okay daughter loves it! . I'm giving this 4 stars only b/c my 3 1/3 year old daughter now loves it. When we first got it, she was frustrated w/ getting the right amount of water to mix w/ the "paints" that are located at the top of the page. very frustrated she said, "This ISN'T working!" now she loves it and asks to paint at least 1 per day. she loves the sheet that shows every picture in the book. She'll spend a good 5 minutes looking that over to decide which one she wants to work on. It's nothing spectacular, and may cause some frustration at first, but for the price, I'm definitely ordering another one to put in her Christmas "art box" from santa.

Hard to use . Being a Melissa and Doug product, we were excited to purchase this product for a toddler. It's neat that the paint squares are on the top of each page, so that your child can get fresh and not "muddied" paint with each new picture. However, it is very difficult to get just enough water to moisten the colors. And the included paint brush is very fine and doesn't absorb much paint. The pictures are cute, but because the water colors aren't toddler friendly, it makes this an expensive paint book. This is all very disappointing.Instead of tossing the book, we decided to use Crayola preloaded washable paint brush pens (see product description below) we had already purchased for about $6, and they work very well.Product information
